Dementia Friendly Communities: Margaret River (Environment)

The town of Margaret River is set to become a dementia friendly community following successful dementia friendly community projects in Manjimup and York.
The Dementia Friendly Town project, an initiative of Alzheimer’s WA, empowers rural communities to support people living with dementia to live as well as possible for as long as possible.
With support from the Shire of Augusta and Margaret River and the local Rotary and Lions Clubs, Alzheimer’s WA will work with the local community, including businesses, in a whole of town approach to becoming dementia friendly.
This project is supported by the Western Australian State Government through the WA Country Health Service.
