“Lois was the only character-" Tom gets it. Lois and Erica was always more his speed and a character that made him shine. Great episode guys!!! and Erica is freakin gorgeous, hazel green eyed beauty- love her energy.
Erica was exactly the spark plug that Tom needed so badly. She's a literal goddess and looked amazing alongside Tom- real badass woman. Lois changed his character for the best. That's why Clark and Lois are such a power couple. I didn't even know anything about Superman and Lois and I knew when Lois showed up she was going to be endgame bc Tom's whole energy changed and he finally had the spark in his eyes like he finally met his match. Pretty epic stuff. I can see why Tom remembers so much with Erica. Great podcast!!! this was a lot of fun.
It's so cute how Tom and Erica have similar professional views - direction, camera shots, focusing. Erica is always a breath of fresh air on these episodes. I think she would be a great co-host if Rosenbaum jumps ship after season 7.
This is one of my favorites. To me this episode really set the tone of Smallville post-HS for Clark and Lois's crime-fighting dynamic and the characters' expansion into Metropolis. The humor between Clark and Lois is sooo much fun in this one. Plus it was a fantastic John episode, which is always welcome.
Tom: "I dont remember major scenes" Also Tom: Erica said her bikini was small Love Tom 😂 Thanks for another great episode. Smallville cast is the best.
Erica as Lois made this show so much fun. Busting Clark’s chops over the years never ever got old, and the subtle moments of chemistry and sexual tension felt more natural than all the drama and heaviness with Lana.
GUYS you don’t seem to comprehend how monumental the Lois and Clark relationship is in this show. The episodes slowly move that relationship forward with banter and flirty scenes. You never talk about this and thus you miss important elements of the episode!!
I am happily married, and we watched Smallville as a family. I used to call Erica, "my Lois". She was so pretty and also just a great character. We used to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer too and I would call Charisma, "my Cordelia". It was the same deal. Great actresses who could make you laugh while being very good looking.
Tom's double "OH YEAH'S" to Erica was awesome. I agree with Tom, Lois and Clark were a lot of fun and a breath of fresh air. I feel like we were watching Tom and Erica's offscreen dynamic onscreen which is why Lois and Clark had unique scenes that flowed easily. Also, I liked this episode for the Duke boys as well, Wopat and Schneider are iconic.
I agree with Tom... Clark was so much better and happier in every way with Lois. So true king! and Tom basically confirms that Clark was just canonically miserable and boring unless he was around Lois. I enjoy the details Tom remembers about Erica's experience of the show as well and what she used to say and do... "I don't know we were doing something" you were putting on sunscreen on Lana LMAO but he remembers Erica's bikini and what she said. Also Tom and Erica maximizing the joint slay at all times. In Steel City Tom mentioned they spoke for hours (2 hours) with Erica and could talk forever. I really enjoyed this podcast... Erica brings a refreshing tone because she's just like the guys and isn't a prude- she's fun like Tom said.
Chloe: “all I can say is, God bless America”😂 Erica Durance is hilarious when she starts marching in place and then her eye roll as she starts to go around the pole.LOL😂 And then on his lap! And such wonderful symbolism with the song choice!😉 And then that FANTASTIC closeup of them on the rooftop! All I could say when this originally aired was “there they are, Lois Lane and Superman”.😃
Best Lois Lane EVER and not just saying that as a fan-girl. objectively, she is a wonderful actress so she brought realism to a character who is regularly submitted to ridiculous storylines and Erica always plays her grounded so even the outlandish scenarios feel fresh. She is also the only Lois, in my 40 yr history w the character of Superman, who's (1) made it believable as to why Superman would fall in love w her (2) portrayal embodied the character and not a caricature and most importantly (3) relationship w Clark supported and even solidified his destiny. many more reasons but yeah she is the best Lois 👏👏👏❤️
@alyce831 they've said a few times that it's not Tom or Michael that reads or comments for them. I would assume it's Bryce, I wouldn't think they'd hire a separate person to edit and post to social platforms. but to your comment: Michael doesn't not like Lois. he doesn't know Lois. at this point in the show, Lex has had little screen time w Lois. other than "Lucy" I can't even remember him referring to Lois even as a 3rd party in the whole past season. So Michael, only knowing about characters who's scenes he's shared, wouldn't know much about Lois. I haven't seen any evidence on the podcast that he doesn't like/respect her. he's been far more vocal about Chloe, especially in the 1st 3 seasons when Chloe was obsessive, desperate, and often times betrayed Clark. are you sure you aren't thinking of Chloe instead? cuz I think Michael has needed Chloe's character-redemption-arc (heavily discussed by fans in S4 podcast after she learns Clark's secret) in order to bring him around to her. cuz of any cast member, she's the one character that Michael has double-facepalmed the most about so far lol
Oh ok. I tried to watch the podcast but just can’t with Michael being more about himself and interupting like he does at cons. Now disrespecting Lois left and right. I mainly see what people say and may look at comments. Generally pay more attention to the few and I mean very few times Of Erica so I didn’t know Bryce did. Thanks for telling me.
Michael, I love you, but this episode is absolutely UNforgettable! For Clois shippers, this was the beginning of the romantic arc between the characters, and for Dukes fans it was a dream come true.
Michael’s got it right though. It was gratuitous. And Clois had no place in the show at this point. The bulk of the audience wasn’t tuning in for Clark and Lois. And reality is, it’s not until Season 8 that they start to figure out how to write Lois.
@@KalEl290 I like the earlier hints at what’s to come. It sets up the idea that they are attracted to each other all along, but then I never liked Lana, so it made me happy to see Clark and Lois interact instead of Clark and Lana.
One of my fav episodes because of Clois going undercover. Clark's reaction at seeing Lois on stage cracks me up every time! Y'all saying Martha should run for Senate, pretty sure she does in later seasons!
It's cute how giddy Tom gets with Erica as the guest, and he seems to remember a lot with her. Loved the cute stuff he remembers with her from Aqua and Exposed. I don't think Tom and Erica realize they are sunshine. I'll be watching this on repeat after a crappy day.
Forgettable episode? is literally the stepping stone of one of the biggest plotlines of the show and it also has a great Lois and Clark dynamic and Lois investigation and hanging out at the Daily Planet.
Exactly, it was a call to mission episode for both of them, which explains to us why they are destined for each other: they walk on the same path. For the same reason, they also constantly meet up unexpectedly, having followed different breadcrumbs to the same mystery, and their catch phrase: "What are you doing here?"
I love the podcast and hope it goes ALL THE WAY THROUGH SEASON TEN! **I have to say that I was really shocked by the lack of acknowledgment given to: the good scenes, the connection between Lois & Clark, more credit for The Dukes of Hazzard references, Erica's complete commitment & Tom's epic acting without saying a word(aka - facial expressions that spoke volumes)! Half a bomb?! 🤯🤦🏼♀️
Tom I absolutely love your facial expressions in this episode. You playing uncomfortable with Lois has me laughing so hard. Well done! 👏 Erica did great too!
I love it when Erica is on the podcast! You might say this episode was forgettable, but we all remember it 😂 The club scene is iconic and funny with the song playing! These are the details that need to be brought up! Looking forward to when Erica comes back ❤
OMG I loved this ep bc it showed off the chemistry between Lois & Clark and the Dukes of Hazard reunion was an added plus! Also “Don’t Cha” playing during Lois’ dance was 100/10 music choice 😂
I am so surprised with Erica she was born to play Lois Lane. He couldn't believe the deep vibes he transmits on screen and when he is with Tom, I mean... the chemistry in the show sometimes makes me forget that they are behind characters and that is the magic of great actors.
I'd personally like to thank Erica Durance for her performance in this episode! 😉 Even though she's Canadian, I think this was the most patriotic thing I've ever seen, and I know that Clark would have given Lois a salute... if he were able to stand up. 😂😂
@@TalkVillePodcast next time you have Erica, can you tell her thank you for teaching me how to tie a tie for my prom & graduation back in 09. I looped that part in the dvd.
I thought Erica was American. She dose sound convincing as an American then again Canada accent is close to american probably the closet out of any country.
I watched Smallville 10+x times and i could never get enough of it, most favorite show of my childhood, Tom was my first and biggest celebrity crush, and Erica my most favorite Smallville character, love them. No one can replace Smallville characters as good as you all guys did it, not even Cavill and company.
I have to push back on what Michael and Ryan said about Exposed. I don't think the episode was trying too hard at all. I think the episode fit in perfectly with the direction the show was going, and if it didn't feel like a Smallville episode that's because by season 5, Smallville no longer felt like Smallville anymore. High school was over and the show's focus was shifting towards Metropolis, The Daily Planet, and Clark's path towards becoming Superman. It was becoming more like Lois & Clark: The Pre-Superman Adventures.
Great points. It gets a little tiring hearing Michael being pissy or uninterested with the lighthearted episodes or ones where he isn't central to the story. Ryan usually does a pretty good job of sloughing off Michael's negativity, but he got caught up in it this time.
Tom at the Steel City Con last week talked about how only Lois was able to bring Clark out of his shell and give him personality and enjoy life whereas the other characters were total bores because Tom couldn't play that side of Clark with them. He mentions again today how fun it is to banter, have humor and have the witty back and forth. Tom's a huge fan of the Maddie and David from Moonlighting and even talked about how he wanted Clark and Lois to have the rom com vibes so he definitely has great taste. Lois/Erica definitely made him come alive, they both made each other look badass.
So we can see that Tom likes to talk about Lois and Clark and about his work with Erica ! But not with Mickael on his side !! This is why on Talkville he’s so hush hush about it! He’s holding back because he doesn’t to hear Mickael be a j..k about Lois/Erica.😢
Lovely to have Erica Durance on this one. Her performance in this one as Lois was truly the highlight. Espin the club scenes. Have noticed that Lois likes to put on various disguises. A theme throughout the series.
This was one of my favorite episodes of the season. The look on CK's face when Lois walks out gets me laughing my ass off every time. At this stage they were more like frien-emies versus romantic as they become later so that at least to me made it even funnier. If I knew a chick like Lois I'd probably have the same reaction lol
Just discovered this podcast and couldn't be happier! Got to dive back into a childhood favorite on an 11 hr flight back home, the plane had the first season of Smallville. I'm 24 now and its been fun watching the episodes again to see what I remember
Erica was my favorite Lois, bar none. I loved Terri Hatcher in the 90s, but Erica brought so much strength, and humor to the character. The definitive Lois Lane.
Honestly, I enjoyed the Dukes of Hazard getting back together again along with the James Bond vibe the episode gave with Clark and Lois. Loved you guys brining Erica onto the podcast again, thanks again guys for making our Wednesdays better ❤ Congrats to Ryan getting a car!
The Dukes of Hazard reunion at the time was a very big deal. And it was promoted as such (along with Erica's dance). But in this day and age people are not supposed to praise Dukes for anything. It's "controversial" now. Hence Michael's dismissive tone.
First of all - Erica, we love you!! 💓 I was thrilled to see you as a guest on this podcast episode. You are awesome, and thank you so much again for taking the time to talk to me and my daughter at the Steel City Con. It was a situation for me where I was facing a fear, and going for it anyway. Even though I started having a literal anxiety attack and cried a bit, you were so kind, and i was eventually able to express everything I wanted to say. I'm a Gemini too, so I totally understood the Gemini comment during this podcast. I get you. 👏❤️ Anyway - I Hate to disagree with the guys, but I liked this episode. Not the best episode of Smallville, but it was good. ❤ It was an episode that on one hand set up episodes to come in season 5, with Jonathan running for Senate, which all comes together and falls apart in RECKONING. Plus, as out of place as it may be, the club scene put Lois and Clark in a situation where they were both trying to investigate, but were very uncomfortable and just trying to get through it. At the same time when you actually watch the dance scene, Clark is uncomfortable but still cant stop stealing glances at Lois...a bit of that sexual tension, even though they are both in a fish-out-of-water situation. The "lap dance" moment was hilarious, also if you watch Clark's hand placement right after Lois gets up and leaves, methinks Clark Jr. gave her a proper salute. It's subtle, but it's there. That whole scene was a little defining moment in their relationship journey. It's one of those monents as a fan that I will always remember. So BRAVA to Erica for pushing through the anxiety and doing a great job, and Tom for playing Clark so well. Again, at the Steel City Con panel, in response to a question, Tom agreed that having Erica on as a co-host for the later seasons is a great idea. Make it happen! 👏❤️ Love the podcast!
This episode of smallville is one of my favourites because of Lois and Clark as well as the stuff between Lex and Jonathan. This is the episode that starts Jonathan's journey into politics after all. One thing I noticed was that Lex and Clark still care about each other to a certain degree, even so much so that Clark doesn't believe Lex would go that far but because Jonathan insists it's possible, he ends up accusing Lex who sort of acts like an older brother to Clark here by getting him into the club to investigate and then getting him out of trouble with the police. As a huge fan of the last three seasons especially, I love watching these earlier episodes keeping the distinction between Clark and Kal-Al in mind (which is more prominent in the later seasons. Seeing Clark as Kal-Al on a missions like these and then accidently bumping into Lois Lane .... it just brings me so much joy and makes the funny interactions even more entertaining. Here's the mighty Kal-Al, helpless against Lois Lane. She is such a beautiful force of nature that this "intergalactic powerhouse" is completely thrown for a loop almost every time he sees her and ends up with scrambled brain. It's too cute! I'm happy that Ryan pointed out that the club scene served the purpose of changing the show to a more adult themed episode as well as building on Lois and Clarks attraction to one another. The freak of the week being in metropolis is also a good change. Everything Erica did with Lois was perfect so I hope she doesn't have too many regrets. I'm glad that she said she was okay with it at the time, because no matter the scene, she was always so graceful and magnetic. And it all helped make her Lois the Lois we all love. I found it hilarious that Lois is naturally awkward in the beginning of the dance and then she starts warming up to it and owning that stage. She seemed like she was beginning to enjoy herself and feel proud of her performance until she saw Clark. Clarks reaction is equally hilarious. He didn't want to look out of respect but couldn't help himself even after recognising Lois. I loved every minute of their interaction. Tom is so good with conveying Clarks inner thoughts with just a look. I am so happy to have seen the lovely Erica on todays podcast. Michael took the words right out of the fans mouths with every good thing he had to say about her. Tomerica and Clois are always such a treat ! TY Talkville.
Abs loved Clark’s and Louis dynamic. I used to watch edited clips allll the time in highschool because I was an old romantic. I just loved how jokey their relationship was and how beautifully portrayed it was. The barn seen when they are slow dancing and Clark levitates was just magnificent…
I just wanna say, I'm sorry I'm not one of the patreons. I've always been broke and struggling with money. But I appreciate this show, I'm grateful for the UA-cam format that allows it to be for free. I promise when my financial situation improves, I'll be buying from that online store. Thanks for so many great episodes, your honest reactions, positive and negative, are validating and sometimes really insightful. Erica toppled Teri Hatcher and Margot Kidder as my favorite Lois, please don't tell Teri. Thanks guys. Hats off to Ryan and Brice and the patrons for making this show possible. 🎉🎉🎉
It's funny, because the first Lois and Clark kiss wasn't in Crimson, but ironically in an episode that TOM himself directed!! So it will be very fun when we get to that, to get some insight about the historical occasion and how they prepared for it straight from the horse's mouth 🤣
this is not a forgettable episode, specially for clois. Erica was amazing and I like Clark and Chloe running their own investigation, this dynamic of them is so enjoyable. 🌹 🌹 .5 roses for me
yeah it was so cute to have his cameo be an old friend of Jonathan's, despite having to retcon their entire relationship and his existence lol they were so at ease w each other, he could have been on more it wouldn't have felt out of place
Erica Durance; the greatest Lois Lane of all time. She absolutely brought a refreshing spirit and energy to the show. And she was funny as all heck; always loved her sense of humor, her lines/random references to this day give me much-needed laughter. My childhood crush back then; still my crush now 🤩 BTW--Canadians for whatever reasons are always super distinctly, authentically kind. Brilliant, talented, gorgeous and kind. Erica, Laura and the other Canadians seem super empathic and genuinely loving. Always rooting for Erica!
Erica is by far my favorite guest on the podcast! Every time she shows up she brings a great fun energy that is infectious especially on Tom just like she did on the show. If they ever add another host or need a replacement, I think she would be the perfect addition. Also, this woman does not age, she is as beautiful as ever!
Yes, please have her on to comment on the episodes! I mean, the other Talkville episode she was on has the 7th highest viewership of all their podcast episodes. (The rest are mostly 1st season, where people go back and start) Anyway, apparently all the UA-cam viewers agree - we love Erica! She brings a fun energy that brightens Michael up and encourages Tom’s cleverness. And they all genuinely like each other and have great banter.
Pole dance scene was spectacularly awkward between Clark and Lois. Lmao 😂 And then Clark always goes back for her at the end and she acknowledged that and thanked him at the end of the episode which was dope
Michael sorry bud, most fans totally disagree with you on this one. It was such an important episode for the relationship of Clark and Lois. The first time they really teamed up and the first time Clark really looked at Lois in a different light in more ways than one. One of the top ten "most memorable" episodes of Smallville hands down. It was gratuitous, but isn't that the nature of strip clubs? This type of scene is not easy to do but Erica was absolutely fantastic!
putting a character from a teen show that's supposed to be 18 or 19 years old dancing on a strip club its a bit weird. And it's not Michael, Erica said she wasn't that comfortable in that scene
Lately it seems like if a Hotline question pertains to something you already discussed, you guys will still elaborate on it and maybe add some more info or another story about it. In the past you were more likely to say "Oh we already talked about that" and then move on, but now you find a way to add some more to the answer and that is cool and classy.
By far one of my favorite episodes! I NEVER missed Dukes of Hazzard. This episode was great for us Dukes fans. I had been waiting for them to bring in Tom since season 1!!!! Yeehaw!!!❤❤❤
Great podcast guys!! So glad to see Erica on again and to hear her take on the striptease scene!! Please have her on again soon. I think Michael and Ryan missed the boat on this episode. It is important for many reasons. First because the Lois and Clark relationship is developed very well on the show and even though they are frenemies at this point there is an obvious attraction. Their final shot on the roof is amazingly well framed!! These are two gorgeous young people who even look like they belong together. Erica does many good things in this episode. Her eyeroll at Clark's awkwardness at giving her the twenty is priceless!! Tom and Erica just play off each other so well. Tom's aye aye sailor at the end was a great moment and a rare time when Lois is at a loss for words. The Dukes of Hazzard reunion was fabulous!! I kind of wonder if this was kind of a goodbye present for John as they knew he would soon be leaving the show!! I busted my gut at the car jump scene!! The episode sets up Chloe working as a reporter, Lois and Clark showing some interest in solving cases kinda sorta like journalists and of course it sets the stage for Reckoning!! By the way a guy like Johnathan Kent once ean for office. I think his name was Abraham Lincoln.
Yes! And she brings in the UA-cam views, because we all love her so much. She takes the podcast to another level. I think it’s her positivity and sense of humor. And she gets along so well with the guys😊
Ya can’t spell America without Erica.

Erica Durance prepared for the whole stripetease dance to get it right. Clark looking at Lois and his reaction and her seeing Clark was hilarious.
According to IMDb, one of their trivia bits about Erica is that she trained with a friend who is an exotic dancer for this role of Lois as a stripper.
Erica has the fakest boobs of TV history! 😅
Tom Welling is spot on by the way. Lois really brings out the best in Clark and their chemistry is fantastic. Erica Durance is the GOAT.
I LOVED episodes like this because they were setting up Lois and Clark's chemistry. Which was the best relationship in the whole CW.
True :)

The strip club DJ saying "I'd salute to that anytime" when Lois walks on stage is FUNNY AF. 🤣

Great interview with Erica. Glad she's back on the podcast this week. She's awesome. Great analysis of the episode as always.
I love it when Erica is on the podcast! You might say this episode was forgettable, but we all remember it 😂 The club scene is iconic and funny with the song playing! These are the details that need to be brought up! Looking forward to when Erica comes back ❤
Always look forward to seeing Erica talk about her time as Lois. What an icon & she's even more beautiful now in her 40s. ❤
Erica (Lois Lane) made Tom Welling (Clark kent) shine on the screen! What a lucky guy!
OMG I loved this ep bc it showed off the chemistry between Lois & Clark and the Dukes of Hazard reunion was an added plus! Also “Don’t Cha” playing during Lois’ dance was 100/10 music choice 😂
They seemed more like friends then a couple but some relationships do start as friends from what I hear.
Their chemistry is great. Clark is basically flirting with Lois at the end with his "Aye, aye.. sailor" comment and smile.
I am so surprised with Erica she was born to play Lois Lane.
He couldn't believe the deep vibes he transmits on screen and when he is with Tom, I mean... the chemistry in the show sometimes makes me forget that they are behind characters and that is the magic of great actors.
If there is anything this episode was not is "forgettable". I dont think any Smallville fan has forgotten about this one.

@@KentPetersonmoney Well, Erica doesn't pronounce words with a Canadian accent like "a-boot" or "sore-ry" as often as Kristin and Laura did. 😂
Here's a thought. I think Al and Miles thought up this episode to soften up John Schneider for what was going to happen to him in episode 100.
trying way too hard?? yall are kidding me - we’d been dying for some tension between tom and erica, your girl viewers lovedddd this
not all of us, i tend to skip that scene on rewatches 😭
Lovely to see Erica on the show, I think she played her part as Lois extremely well and it was very convincing🤩
@@toddjordan2198Yeah, true.
@@toddjordan2198when UA-cam and Reddit are agreeing with each other on the same subjects
The source is definitely the problem
They have to act offended on behalf of the audience, who they assume are fragile and woke.
Only time I feel like Michael enjoys something on this podcast is when he advertises for AG1.
This episode is hilarious as it continues the playful banter between Lois and Clark foreshadowing their ultimate future.
Rosenbaum doesn’t know how to put himself in the fans shoes.… which is odd considering he is a fan of horror media . This episode was great !!!
Literally and it's DC it's not supposed to be realistic lol
Tom at the Steel City Con last week talked about how only Lois was able to bring Clark out of his shell and give him personality and enjoy life whereas the other characters were total bores because Tom couldn't play that side of Clark with them. He mentions again today how fun it is to banter, have humor and have the witty back and forth. Tom's a huge fan of the Maddie and David from Moonlighting and even talked about how he wanted Clark and Lois to have the rom com vibes so he definitely has great taste. Lois/Erica definitely made him come alive, they both made each other look badass.
Perfectly said ! I was so happy to see that Tom recognised this about Clark and Lois too.
@@SarahGardus it was wonderful having the 2 of them at the Steel City Con ❤️
So we can see that Tom likes to talk about Lois and Clark and about his work with Erica ! But not with Mickael on his side !! This is why on Talkville he’s so hush hush about it! He’s holding back because he doesn’t to hear Mickael be a j..k about Lois/Erica.😢
Lovely to have Erica Durance on this one. Her performance in this one as Lois was truly the highlight. Espin the club scenes. Have noticed that Lois likes to put on various disguises. A theme throughout the series.
@nickhydier1201 yes I couldn’t agree more
@@clairemendoza8082 😀🙏🙏
This was one of my favorite episodes of the season. The look on CK's face when Lois walks out gets me laughing my ass off every time. At this stage they were more like frien-emies versus romantic as they become later so that at least to me made it even funnier. If I knew a chick like Lois I'd probably have the same reaction lol
Just discovered this podcast and couldn't be happier! Got to dive back into a childhood favorite on an 11 hr flight back home, the plane had the first season of Smallville. I'm 24 now and its been fun watching the episodes again to see what I remember
Bless Erica Durance for her bravery and courage and just rolling with what they put her character through.
I think the Dukes of Hazzard references were awesome in this episode, and the interaction between Lois and Clark was outstanding as always. 2 roses!
I love Erica (especially on Saving Hope). She's amazing! Such an upbeat, positive person!
Ahh, Erica sounds so nice and super normal!!
Great episode!
It seemed like his dismissive tone was because of what he said at the end about whatever Wopat said to him at the convention.
Erica was the unsung hero of the show.
💯 Totally agree!!!
Erica would be a great co-host later on. That would be awesome. Or at least having her on more. She has such a big role❤️
Yes! For Seasons 8,9,10!
Lois Lane was my favorite character in Smallville. I love how Erica Durance portrayed Lois. I love her sm! ❤
I get you. 👏❤️
Anyway - I Hate to disagree with the guys, but I liked this episode.
I met Erica too at a con and I was really nervous but she was so sweet with me and all the fans . She is great.
I love that these guys are all still friends.
I can't remember which episode that was, but wasn't it the one where Clark dresses up as Green Arrow to throw Lois off Oliver's identity?
@@Marvellous132 Yes, it was that one, Hydro if I remember correctly.
this is not a forgettable episode, specially for clois. Erica was amazing and I like Clark and Chloe running their own investigation, this dynamic of them is so enjoyable. 🌹 🌹 .5 roses for me
Erica Durance was SUCH an amazing Lois Lane, every time I rewatch I am amazed by her incredible acting and presence. She's incredible.
Erica's portrayal of Lois Lane is my favorite in all portrayals including Margot Kidder Erica is reminiscent of Phyllis Coats.
The Dukes of Hazard reunion was so good. The whole homage to the opening Car montage with Tom Wopat driving up to the Kent Farm just awesome.
yeah it was so cute to have his cameo be an old friend of Jonathan's, despite having to retcon their entire relationship and his existence lol they were so at ease w each other, he could have been on more it wouldn't have felt out of place
Erica Durance; the greatest Lois Lane of all time. She absolutely brought a refreshing spirit and energy to the show. And she was funny as all heck; always loved her sense of humor, her lines/random references to this day give me much-needed laughter. My childhood crush back then; still my crush now 🤩
BTW--Canadians for whatever reasons are always super distinctly, authentically kind. Brilliant, talented, gorgeous and kind. Erica, Laura and the other Canadians seem super empathic and genuinely loving. Always rooting for Erica!
Erica played her part so amazingly, she was always one of my favorite characters!!
I want Erica and Kristin together as guests for an episode .
Love hearing Tom, Erica, and Michael talk together. Once again, its nice see how well the cast all gets along!
(The rest are mostly 1st season, where people go back and start)
Anyway, apparently all the UA-cam viewers agree - we love Erica! She brings a fun energy that brightens Michael up and encourages Tom’s cleverness. And they all genuinely like each other and have great banter.
00:09:53 - "Tom, do you have any memories of this day?"
lmfao 🤣
Micheal “how were his lips” 😭😭😭 thank u for answering Erica 💀
I loved that moment too .... Toms little chuckle was the icing on the cake 🤣
@@MaebellineHeon-gi6hnoh, I thought she said soft and supple! Lol
@@MaebellineHeon-gi6hn no worries You’re welcome
Erica and episodes like this with her is what brought me back to watching Smallville.
Erica looking as beautiful now, 20 years later, as she did in her first episode.
Pole dance scene was spectacularly awkward between Clark and Lois. Lmao 😂 And then Clark always goes back for her at the end and she acknowledged that and thanked him at the end of the episode which was dope
Talkville episodes with guests are the best , please get the writers and directors too
Yes , and Al and Miles again would be great.
Thank you to both Michael and Tom for doing this podcast for the fans having a passion and respect for the series means alot to us
Lois Lane made everything 100x better to watch
I love Michael but I disagree with him. I agree with Tom. This is an iconic episode.
When erica said shes a gemini, I FELT THAT. Always fighting myself 😂
Erica is another lady who has aged like fine wine like other members of the cast.
The dukes both in the same scene is amazing. Loved that classic show and i love the references through out the series in the first 5 seasons
Lately it seems like if a Hotline question pertains to something you already discussed, you guys will still elaborate on it and maybe add some more info or another story about it. In the past you were more likely to say "Oh we already talked about that" and then move on, but now you find a way to add some more to the answer and that is cool and classy.
The patreon guest was fantastic, love seeing huge fans interacting. This is a great podcast and you guys are some of our favorite actors! Great stuff!
Erica is still the best Lois.
Agree
Erica Durance is, hands down, the best Lois Lane ever!
Yes!! Kristin and Erica back to back!!
By far one of my favorite episodes! I NEVER missed Dukes of Hazzard. This episode was great for us Dukes fans. I had been waiting for them to bring in Tom since season 1!!!! Yeehaw!!!❤❤❤
Loved this episode. Of course always loved it when Erica played bigger parts. She and Tom are the best.
Erica should come on more often! She’s such a delight ☺️
Yes! And she brings in the UA-cam views, because we all love her so much. She takes the podcast to another level. I think it’s her positivity and sense of humor. And she gets along so well with the guys😊
Love when Erica comes on as a guest!
Yes!!!!
Btw I love your channel!
