Personally, I've always wanted my nostrils punched. I had my high nostrils pierced before, but it was the piercer's first time even doing them. Again, another poor choice I've made in the past.
I was pierced at a 16g and my piercer said I can wear 18g jewelry after it heals but that’s the smallest I can go without it moving around too much. How has your piercing healed btw? Mine is only about 2 weeks old
I heard from another piercer that 18g is best because a 20g can cause something called a butter effect where it can slowly cause a slice below the piercing if it’s snug? Unsure how true this is but a 18g in my nose is to bulky I’d prefer a 20g but dint want a small tear over time.
Yes the cheese cutter effect is real. 18g isn’t too bulky I’ve had it before but it caused me problems of rejection . It did start moving down the nose. This was due to the change in gauge. I was initially pierced with 16g, had it for a year and thought I could downsize . But my skin or body didn’t like this. Some people also have reaction or cheese cutter effect because their jewellery diameter is too small, rather than the gauge being a problem. So if the jewellery feels like it’s tugging on the piercing . It’s hard to flare the nose feels uncomfortable . If you can’t freely spin the ring, then it’s most likely too snug, go a size bigger. Better safe than sorry. So 2nd time round I have stuck with the 16g my piercer used . I don’t think it’s too bulky . Rather I think anything under 18g is too thin. It doesnt look like jewellery to me. I just have associations of necklaces links , keyring links. But I don’t want to upset people. It’s just something I see because I am accustomed to seeing large tribal Indian nose rings . I won’t be going for any gauges larger than 16g myself . If people like thinner ones and it’s causing no issue then that’s great too! I just don’t want to risk it or advise upon it after my own problems .

I just bought a seamless hoop from you guys but I bought an 18g bc it’s what I was pierced with but starting to wish I would’ve bought a 20g😭 I don’t want bulky
I don’t think 18g or 16g is bulky. Comparatively the other ones below 18g are too thin. I go to an APP piercer and they’re said it’s not stable can cause issues so they don’t advise anything lower than an 18g for most piercings. But they pierce with 16g. I’ve stuck to 16g, had problems with 18g previously . I might think about it in 2 years but I’m happy with the 16g look it’s not greatly different from 18g
I’m trying to switch from a 20 gauge to an 18 gauge but it hurts and I can’t do it on my own. is it safe? Should I go to a shop to get it done? I feel like I would have to repierce my nose. Like are there 20 bar bells? But I’m pretty sure I like the thicker snug look

If I put a ring in my nose and it is swelling up a bit at the whole - does that mean the ring is too small and I need to go up a size? It does not happen with my screw in stud.
I don't think size matters for this. I got mine pierced about a month ago and I have a pretty large hoop and it's a little swollen at the hole. It's just a natural part of the healing process. If you had a stud in first and then put a hoop in, it's probably just your piercing getting used to the curvature of the jewelry. I've heard of people having their piercing for yeeears and then switching to a hoop made it act up a little bit.
Hilary MacDonald thank you for the reply! I did a sea salt mask on it for a few days - sea salt with a tiny bit of water and then let it dry. It worked very well! It’s pretty much all healed up now ☺️

Which type of jewellery would be best for someone with allergies? I find myself banging the l bend bar by accident and it keeps flaring up. I don't want to remove it :(
If you have allergies u safe bet is to get a stud until ur allergies go away then wait to switch to a hoop or any other nose rings u desire …but always clean ur nose piercing with solution or warm water n sea salt or olive oil
I use an L stud in my nostril with bad seasonal allergies and some year round environment ones. In my experience a screw collects boogies that peek out, but your mileage may vary. I've had it for nearly 20 years through a lot of colds and bad allergy seasons and it's been the best option for me. You do have to be careful when wiping because an L will come out more easily than some other jewelry but I've only lost one once. You just learn to hold the tissue a little lower on your nose and blow one nostril at a time. It just takes some time and patience to get good at. Hopefully by now you have a well healed nostril piercing!
My studs don’t fit my nostril now that it’s all healed. Especially the original stud I was pierced with since that one was already longer. How can I get shorter length on a stud. I prefer the L bars and use 18gauge
you should go in and get a recommendation before making a decision honestly so the pros can tell in person what your best option would be :) good luck !

I had to grab pliers to yank it down. The tail bit. Had gunk on it so I cleaned it. It keeps turning back up to the nostril again. I noticed this 2 days ago when I accidentally bumped it with my hand. Im going back to piercer tomorrow. Can they cut a piece of the L shape. I know it has to be bigger initially cos of swelling. Its driving me nuts this awful sensation. Feels like tail is digging in. Omg.

ok im confused bc i have 22g for my nostril😂
lily a not a good idea. Research it
It’s all a preference. Mine was 22g. Really small and the hole left isn’t huge! I loved it!
Same🤣
I just bought a seamless hoop from you guys but I bought an 18g bc it’s what I was pierced with but starting to wish I would’ve bought a 20g😭 I don’t want bulky
Btw it’s a septum I have not a nose ring
I just bought some 24g rings is that bad? Ooops
I need help. My nose is kind of small and thin. So even 6mm sticks out on me. What can i do to get a snug looking nose piercing?
ermmm d ring or oval ring. Failing that go to a good piercer they can custom bend a piece if you ask them.
Someone plz help😭. So I got my nose stud on October. But it’s sooo tiny and my piercer said she pierced it wit a 20 gauge but I got a 20 gauge stud 😭. Idk what to do. Bc its thick and the one I have in my nose is so thin. Am I able to put it in!???
I'm trying to buy some new jewelry but my piercer didn't tell me what size he put in idk how to find out what size? I will need😩.
It's for my nostril.
It’s pretty much all healed up now ☺️
i got pierced with a 20 gauge
Get 6mm to for right too the nose
Clicker hoops very small gauge
if i were to pierce my nose with a 20g needle what size stud do i get
LifeWithSelicia 20g
I got an 20 on my right, 18 on my left lol and a 16 in my septum
I never thought to think about sizes and I just bought my first hoop and it’s huge I’m mad
My nostril is 16 Gauge what size is recommended for a new ring? They pierced me with a screw ring
I have the same problem, did you ever find out what ring size?
Where can I find an 8mm length post nose screw for a 22g piercing ???
That's what I'm looking for but a nose bone. I've looked on Etsy no one seems to have a 22g 8mm... The one I did purchase is to short 🤦🏽♀️
kenziered84 I found a shop on Etsy called Justnoserings search them up they can customize your nose studs. I asked for a nose screw with an 8mm post length and they did it fast they respond fast too customer service 100% and the product was 100% too I definitely recommend them.
kenziered84 I told them I wanted a 8mm post length with 22g nose screw. I’m pretty sure they can customize nose bones also. You just have to click on contact shop tell them what you want and they will respond within 24 hours.
@@dignorae.6980 ok thanks bout to do this now 😊
What Is The Name Of That Instrumental In The Background?
Hey Matt! 👍🏻😊
*cries in metric system*
Thinking about stretching my ear but I can't wear ear rings at work should I still stretch ?
I think you answered your own question there unless your planning to quit or get fired and go into another work field that would be ok with it.
Do it, just get nude colored silicon plugs ;)
is it okay to start with a 14g?? i need to know before i fuck my face up 😂😭😭
you should go in and get a recommendation before making a decision honestly so the pros can tell in person what your best option would be :) good luck !
Thanks
What's the best ring to start with? I got pierced with a L shaped one and today its been turning a bit

Don’t really know why but my nose piercing is still tender and healing and it’s been 6mo
Pls help me. Last week I got a nose stud piercing. It has turned in my nostril as the stud is huge L shape it keeps hitting up my nostril. It is most uncomfortable. Omg.
