Was that electrical conduit buried 18”?
does the ground really need to be leveled before you lay the crushed gravel? or can u just make sure crushed gravel has a slope? (thinking of doing the same project in my backyard. in seattle!)
I just did this in my backyard. Short answer is that you want it close but it doesn't have to be perfect. You want a nice even thickness of gravel and to do this you need to have the ground sloping at roughly the right angle.
I would've place a CAUTION tape in those trenches before completely backfilling.
