This shows just how shakespreaing paragus as a character truely is. A man wronged and had his life torn away by a prideful and cruel king, raises his son who the king had tried to kill into a powerful engine of his vengence only for that son to kill him when hes blinded by power and driven only by anger. It realy is a shakespearian and its rare and amazing that a bad dub like this could show that so well via paragus voice acting
bardock was a brutish, low class warrior, paragus was a nobleman broly was insane vegeta was a spoiled brat and goku was just a normal guy who happened to be the strongest fighter on earth.
These voice actors are true Thespians, masters of their craft. If only I could annunciate and express myself so poetically. No disrespect to the original voice actors but this remarkable performance gives this scene a deep poignancy that it lacked in the beginning. True beauty.

It’s funny because when Freeza kills Paragus (in order to trick Broly and make him go berserk) in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, he says “Broly, look! It’s such a tragedy!” and then claims that Paragus was killed by a stray ki blast while Goku and Broly were fighting. I can’t remember for certain who Freeza claimed the ki blast came from, but that still gives a 50% chance of Broly thinking it was he who killed Paragus by mistake. In other words, he may have thought that Paragus perished at the hands of his own son, and it was a tragedy.

actually we only got Funi for the middle of the Ginyu Saga to the end of the Trunks saga. CNX did run the entire series once as Funi uncut before CNX was taken off air.
Super Saiyan Videl We only got bits of the Funi dub. we have Blue Water/Ocean for the vast majority except for a brief stint when CNX was a channel and it was uncut Funi dubs but that was barely a few months.
