I still wonder about that pump coming back to the initial position. Not sure to understand how this supose to make the product longevity longer.
Exactly what I thought! I would have guessed the rollers going back to the exact same spot every time would wear those particular spots more quickly & if they instead stoped at random points that would spread the wear so increase tube life?

I think it’s to make the start position accurate. Notice it goes to the beginning of the roller range almost to reset it’s amount pumping.
@@njbjr2563 Thats what I would have assumed, makes more sense. I'm guessing it can still dose just half an ml when doing this as well?
I can't believe this thing has been out of stock everywhere for over six months. I really wanted to give them my hard earned money but at this point I can only assume Ecotech's supply chain is ridiculously weak. I know companies have had problems with COVID but everyone else has figured it out. I've waited long enough, guess I have to buy the DOS for AWC's.

@@ReefDudes I burned out 2 MP10s in 3 years. just ordered a new MP40 still. because they do rock.
How the heck did you burn them out? I’m curious now!
@@ReefDudes on both pumps, the mother boards went bad. hard reset did not work. had to replace them both. then on both pumps the bearings went bad. just got the new QD MP40. have to say the new pumps are awesome and built better.
I finally got one but it makes a bad grinding noise 😭 hopefully ecotech will send me a working one.

Devin, are you also trying the dosetronic? I was on the fence, picked up the 4 pack versa but also have an alkatronic and the dosetronics are on sale right now so I'm still not sure.
Its not hooked up yet but yes i have one and yes i will be! Waiting for some mounting boards so i can figure out my layout for everything. and get it nicely hooked up

I think the plan is to add something new to it Every month or so. Likely as it’s all cleared and issue free with the beta testers group
I got a kamoer pump about a month ago and I still can't connect it bc I need a 2.4ghz wifi connection. Can you connect these through 5.0ghz? Or does it have to be 2.4?
If you have Radion G5's it will work as a bridge, Mine are on 5ghz wifi

This thing looks like a killer piece of equipment. I wish I did not get my GHL doser to dose Triton only to quit that and get a Kamoer to feed Calcium reactor. My wallet has had enough of me.

But plural should be Versa too - not Versas - that's what I reckon anyhow
From what I have seen this is the best doser on the market - and the best value. It's pricey if you need 4 sure but I'd just go one and do Tropic Marin Carbo Calc. But this is going to make Calcium Reactors much more accessible and I think it negates the need for an upmarket one like the Deltec or the Kore7

Ugh I wish I wasn't so heavily invested in the Apex ecosystem of products... this puts the DOS to shame by the looks of it.

Clint Parsons the Dos isn’t a continuous duty pump like the versa is.. which means u can use it on CaRx.. the dos isn’t meant for that type of work

No wifi built in is definitely a total bummer. I was all excited to get one until I realized that
Technically it does just not enabled yet. All of the new products/chips have the capability.. some of the hardware should have it enabled in the future via updates as mobius builds.
ReefDudes I thought you said it would require another ‘box/controller’ to enable WiFi connectivity?
Some devices will be bridge devices. They haven said yet what will be or when. Just that it’s coming
@@ReefDudes So I guess it is what I said. Unless I have something else from their catalog, no wifi on the versa. I only run their powerheads, nothing else.
Ecotech the only company in this industry that I can honestly say has Not disappointed! There hardware and software is testing and testing and build to last.
I’m with you there. Over time I move migrated over to most of their gear

How have these held up over time? Do you have a long term review anywhere? Specifically I’m concerned about reliability (do you have to constantly adjust/calibrate) and how often you have to replace heads/tubing!
does the versa tell you when to fill the container?
I havent tried the container volume part but you can tell it how big your container is so it can track how much is left
shame Ecotech don't do a controller like Apex! those with apex like myself will just use the Dos
Well if you see how möbius works all the equipment talk to each other and can control each other .. it’s slowly turning into a controller without having to bout a controller

Do you have a video on how to program them , I kept trying and trying and nothing , my wifi antena is 10’ from the versa pump I am on front of the versa trying to add them to my Mobius app and nothing nothing nothing , is frustrating man after almost two hours that nothing gets attached to the app
It uses Bluetooth from your phone to setup and program them

@ Reefdudes, did your unit have any issues? Such as the O-ring not locking in place or the unit leaking? or the unit being unusually loud?
no leaks on mine. I heard there was a batch that had some o-ring issues. If you call ecotech they will ship you out some new larger o-rings for free.
One pump was a little louder then the rest.. i manually moved it around a bit then let it run over night and it was nice and quiet the next day.. may have just taken the grease a bit to work its way into all the gears.
Can it still work with reeflink?
Also I know Mobius is only Bluetooth so if I needed to make an adjustment while away, what are the options for that?
Bluetooth only. There will be a way to link to wifi though other gear down the road. So it’s coming!
Too dam expensive though, im thinking of going the jebao route.
Hard to beat jebao for the price... for generic dosing.. these can do ultra precise dosing, or move massive amounts of water for auto water changes.. so all depends what your goals/use case is.

@@arturreef8117 even then you can buy 10 jebaos for the price of this. Really cant beat the price. And if they last a year thats very good.
@@marcelrodriguez2067 also, jabeo calibration not that great only can do 100ml. Also you have to run on timer just in case your heads get stuck and keep pumping all of the fluid in to your tank. I mean mine worked but you have no control with phone or anything. I agree it's expensive
@@arturreef8117 you have to align your expectations with the price/quality of the product. The heads do wear down and need to be replaced a little more frequently
Deven I think mine is kind of defective or something because I spend another two hours today and three yesterday and is no way that will get add to my already movius app it keeps saying fail and am doing it with the Bluetooth wish is the only way to do it
If I can ever ge t it to work will be nice to do water changes

No I haven’t but I had bad experience with them when I was programming my radions G5’s, am still waiting for their return email or call from three months ago. Hopefully this time is better. I unplug the units main electrical cord from wall like they recommended with the lights but nothing the app does not record and retain them
Can I put like automatic dosing something at monday every two weeks? Like one monday yes, one monday no.
I have not seen nor tried to do that yet as I would rather dose a tiny amount daily. The app is ever evolving so you never know in future updates.

How does the pump tell you when the container is empty?
You can set a container volume then it can keep track of how much its pulled from it.
Are these WiFi, or can you connect to them from anywhere ?
Not yet. Bluetooth only for now. I have a suspicion some of the future devices will bridge it to wifi for remote control down the road
Now I just need the ai app to be rolled into the mobius app
Some of the AI stuff works with it! (atleast in beta..so likely coming!)

I like that the Versa is rated for calcium reactors, dosing, water changes - pretty much anything you would need a pump to do. It makes it a lot more desirable over the DOS or other pumps for the price point.
Basically the same price. DOS is still a great pump but too loud for me so selling mine and going the versa route.

They are amazing, but only complain is that there is no way to know how munch have been dosed ( like the Apex DOS).
They do have a catch up mode to ensure it will dose what that are programmed to ina day .. wouldn’t you just look at the schedule to tell?
ReefDudes I selected that option, but is not about what is on schedule to be dosed. Is about what was dosed during the day. You can program to dose 20 ml but that does not mean that the pump did the dose. A confirmation number is what make the Apex DOS superior in that aspect . Don’t get me wrong I do love my Versa 4 pack. They are so quiete for my dosing needs that sometimes I just go at the time of dosing to the pumps to see that they are working as expected 🤣.

Starting my new build and this looks tempting. Hopefully starting Dental school August 2021 and it would be nice, especially for automatic water changes. Could do almost 120 gallons in 24 hours!

Did mobius have a update because it changed on me I can't dose over 102 ML per minute for carx thanks
I don't think so. I Just tested on of mine and it would do continuous 200ml/min
@@ReefDudes ok it might be the pump update is good I have two of them the other one does right. When I try to dos 103 it tells me I can't and when I set max dos it doesn't spin the other one does fine if that makes sense. Because it looks like the format has changed. Thank you
the price of this is insane.... Any other application other then marine and this would be $200 TOPS
I wish this pump can be used with Neptune Trident. Only DOS works with Trident.

Rodi line would be a big spool then you wild need a bigger box and would increase shipping chargers. You can get a big spook for $14. It’s cheap

Sure could! you could even do 10.03 if you wanted :)
Can you say me how i can adjust that amount. If i want to do that in the manual Mode in the Mobius App, the lowest i can get is 1ml and i can‘t adjust a decimal number. Only 1ml 2ml 3ml ....

Nope Neptune does not use Bluetooth. It’s all on the mobius platform

Hi Did you hear if they will make some update app to show status of dosing? I get this Vera to I had little problem with leaking connector, but ecotech service sent replace parts in 2 days :)
Yes i asked about that and a batch had a bad batch of o-rings.. They are sending out bigger one for free to anyone that had that issues. Should be fixed for all new pumps shipping.
