as a library guy myself - usually librarians get their bachelor’s in their focus (history, english, engineering, etc), then go to library sciences to learn marketing, research, communications, etc. many librarians even specialize in a specific service much like teachers - early childhood, young adult, and adult services!
apologies for library nerding but librarians do a lot for you and your community, even if you don’t see it!
That's what I was thinking! Librarians are information conduits who need to know how to help people *research*. It's not that big a deal to the regular public who just wanna pick up a little fantasy book every couple of weeks but show me a 'do your own research' wackadoo and I'll show you someone who could have been saved by a librarian showing them HOW.

So you say that a librarian doesn't need a bachelor's , just a library "sciences" course.
@@mennymoto many people who work in a public library setting are not required to get a library sciences degree - just librarians are required by many state laws as they are government bodies. usually a library science degree is many courses, making up an associates degree (in the us). you can get a library sciences degree just by itself, but most of the librarians and library staff i have worked with have a previous bachelor’s degrees - many of them history! really it just depends on the state and institution. i’ve had both public and university library experience and there are many different types of librarians! :))

My wife just graduated with her Masters in Library and Information Science. The courses are focused on collection development, how to catalog, lots of behind the scenes technology and systems. A couple of courses on methods and considerations to make sure every person/group in the community has resources that fit their needs.

You probably missed the part where he started explaining to chat how he was going to get his econ going so he could juice up red card as a win condition because "its good to get some mult going too". He neither understands how poorly linear it grows nor how plasma deck works despite playing this game 20hours a week

There was a twitch thing for a while where people would say I’m a “insert preference here” “insert name with same first letter here.” (So like in Balatro terms it might be “Flush Frederick”) Eventually it all kind of devolved into Andy being the name used no matter what the first word was. NL says Andrew as a riff on that.

How did it take him this long to understand the plasma deck. First run I realized chips scale faster than mult. Anyway plasma deck + mini joker + hack makes my jeans tight.
