Supporting the family after father death or retirement is not just son's duty but daughter's too which most working do nowadays including me too. She was capable enough to make her own decision and put forth before the family.
The Family did not pressurise, force , torture, humiliate, threaten, or abuse her for supporting them but showered all the love, warmth, care, appreciation always throughout her life. But I always felt she was making a big propaganda of all her support to the family and was more concerned about her idealistic image in her society as a responsible ,good daughter and working woman.
She could have refused and just got married off.Nobody told her to be a great woman. World is full of not only selfish but also equally helpless people around us. We need to understand the difference between them and initiate support accordingly.
After disclosure of marriage annie's mom hardly opposed to it as she did initially but that was out of her concern for her annie since shahwaiz parents were unsupportive, he was not well settled and less than her age.
Now u tell me how did annie's family ruin Shahwaiz life itself.??? It was annie who ruined his life and was forced to make him live like a widower and single parent inspite of deserving all rights on her. She readily sacrificed her married life for the sake of her idealistic image.
