Thise stretches of water are remarkable, reminds me of when i used to “slip “ into a ressy and fish the stream, monster reddies and trout, those were the best days ,
Hi Robbie, nice Redfin, pity your backpack wasn’t an insulated cooler bag / esky with an ice block in it or you could have taken it home and cooked it up for Sonny
@danieltempleton7512 They are great eating but I didn't have any way of keeping it cool while I was walking in the heat. No, it's not illegal to release them. It is illegal to be in possession of live redfin but definitely NOT illegal to release them.
Nice video mate! Just a question: are Redfin native to over east? They are a pest fish here in WA and we cannot release if caught. Tasty fish though so no need to release!! Cheers
Watch were ya walk Jesus's 3 tipans here last 3 days seen one 5 ft in chain meshed fencing shedding then put the turds in a mini rubbish bin agro as all shit safety boys safety. Top video.😂
What an awesome cod coming from that skinny water and WOW, the Redfin, the biggest a seen landed for some time. Well done lads👍
Thanks so much Grazza. 👍👍

Thise stretches of water are remarkable, reminds me of when i used to “slip “ into a ressy and fish the stream, monster reddies and trout, those were the best days ,
And noone else around, never saw another soul 😊
The reddies in running water are so healthy
Always love your videos mate, im 14 and just learning how to fish and this is really entertaining

Good session nice place some nice fish to well done 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome as Robbie
Thanks mate, I hope you enjoy it. ,👍👍
what a stonker reddie robbie great job
Thanks mate. 👍👍
Another great session guys! It looks like Sonny is training for the SAS with that legendary backpack. I’d call him out for an unfair advantage… 🤣✌️
Hahaha thanks Tubby. It certainly is big. I think his big wattle bottle attached to the front makes it look bigger than it is.
I was a bit surprised that redfin didn't meet the fry pan, certainly was a goody
Thanks mate. Unfortunately I wasn't carrying an eski otherwise I would have kept it.
Love your , vids man your living my dream 👍
Thanks so much mate. 👍👍
Nice video robbie
Nice video lads. Good to see lure fishing. I’d say the lost fish from Sonny was a rainbow. I’m 90% sure
Thanks mate, quite possibly. 👍👍
@ I watched his version and saw the dorsal fin. Sorry I was wrong. Definitely a Redfin haha
Nice fishing....❤🎉
Thanks mate. 👍👍
That redfin wasn't messing around, it looked a little different to the redfin I usually catch in the lakes, great catch Robbie 🎉
Thanks mate. I was so happy to catch h. 👍👍
Fishing with friend in a creek. Doesn't get any better than that.
Hey Robbie I caught a massive 77cm mud marlin
Hey Robbie, another great vid!! FYI, our local reject shop in nsw is selling Goodo’s dog food again 👍
G'day Paul, WOW that is so awesome. Hopefully we can get them here again soon..
Well done on the redfin Robbie, maybe you and Sony go back with some worms for Mr Mudmarlin.
Thanks mate, that would be a lot of fun. 👍👍
Nice work Robbie, not a lot of redfin that size in the north east!
Thanks mate. 👍👍
Both really impressive fish, the redfin would be very close to that huge critter you dragged out of the dam about 7-8months ago
Thanks mate. I think that one was bigger to be honest. That was super epic. Haha
I thought you would have kept that red fin for breakfast dinner and tea a great catch.
Hey Vincent, I would have had I had an eski and some ice with me. 👍👍
Hey Robbie a black soft plastics or a carp fly
Nice Redfin, prefer that on my plate any day than a trout :)
Great job boys, lovely fish! Robbie check out Frank and Doug catching callop (not carp for a change!) recently - 2 parts, 'Bundaleer Reservoir'.
Thanks Frank. I will do for sure. I am heading to bed shortly and will watch it in bed.
Hi Robbie, nice Redfin, pity your backpack wasn’t an insulated cooler bag / esky with an ice block in it or you could have taken it home and cooked it up for Sonny
Haha absolutely Bruce. Although Sonny is a chef so he may be hard to please. Haha 🤣🤣
Awesome session bro, why didn't u keep that nice reddy...? 😮😮😮😮
Thanks bro. It would have gone off in my bag. I wasn't carrying an eski!
Robbie I am looking at getting some strike tiger lures for fishing at lake Eildon (mostly off the shore) what colours / sizes do you recommend
Hi mate, I like the 1.5" curl tail grubs in Whitebait pearl colour with a 1/8oz jihjeads. Bananashock is another great colour. 👍👍
Wow just noticed you are on its Tuesday
Haha thanks Jeff. I don't usually publish on Tuesdays.
Good redfin Robbie, you should have kept it. IMO, number 1 freshwater table fish. I think it's actually illegal to release them.
My understanding is its illegal as well. Have heard they are good eating
@danieltempleton7512 They are great eating but I didn't have any way of keeping it cool while I was walking in the heat.
No, it's not illegal to release them. It is illegal to be in possession of live redfin but definitely NOT illegal to release them.
It's not illegal to release them in Victoria, it is heavily discouraged though, however in other states it is illegal
Nice video mate! Just a question: are Redfin native to over east? They are a pest fish here in WA and we cannot release if caught. Tasty fish though so no need to release!! Cheers
No, redfin is just the nickname we call them, they're European perch
Ripping reddy!
Thanks Glen. 👍👍
your casts are pin point
Thanks Scott. I've had lots of practice. Haha 😂
Mate where did you meet this fella?
Hi Catherine, Sonny has been coming to my church. We are church friends. 🙏
Bloody good reddie mate. Pity you didn't keep it.
Thanks mate. Oh well, hopefully it is there again next time.
That Reddie would have been coming home with me Robbie I love eating them .
Me too Rod, but I didn't have an eski. LOL
Btw what’s Sunny’s channel?
Hey Catherine, did I put an end screen too it? I was going to. I hope I didn't forget. It is Sonny_Oz_Fishing.
He is about 4 kg
Why are they called Murray cod?
Probably because they are found in the Murray River and the Murray Darling catchment. The same as Murray Crayfish.
as Robbie said they were discovered in the Murray River, but also similarities I think in taste and certain features that are similar to Atlantic cod
Cracker reddy Robbie. How's the colours on him awsome work
Thank you mate, it sure was a ripper.
Why don't you take the perch home, they're good eating and your doing your part to rid our waterways of pest fish.
Watch were ya walk Jesus's 3 tipans here last 3 days seen one 5 ft in chain meshed fencing shedding then put the turds in a mini rubbish bin agro as all shit safety boys safety. Top video.😂
WOW be careful where you put your feet.
