The aura having zero crit damage with the crit damage ring is not a bug, crit damage ring (and the Ruthlessness trait) *multiply the base crit damge bonus.* So if the base crit damage of the attack is 100%, the ring would increase by 40%, by 80% if the base's 200%, by 20% if it's 50%, etc. And if it's 0%, well, 0%×40%=0%. You can see it later in the run when you picked up the +30% base crit damage trait for the aura, the total crit bonus damage with base 30% and +80% from the ring and lvl2 Ruthlessness was 54%. Also you want to upgrade the block chance trait to lvl5 on Shieldmaiden, it unlock the block blessing in the shrine which really helps to complete the shield bash damage quest (and it's very nice to have in general).
I don't think any of the general traits are multiplicative. They're all additives. There's a few spell upgrades that are tho but they are listed as a .n bonus.
@@CodyMcGamingou can literally see that it's multiplicative at 22:04. That why some traits say + *base* crit damage bonus rather than just + crit damage, you can see another example of this at 24:17 - you have 100%+60% base crit damage (from 3 levels of +20% base crit damage trait for Phantom needles) multipled by +100% crit bonus from the ring and lvl3 Ruthlessness adding up to 320%.
@@CodyMcGaming yeah, admitedly in the second example the math would work either way (since both the needle trait and Ruthlessness bonuses was at 60%). It still doesn't explain the first example. I mean this easy to test, just pick abilities with base crit damage that is not 100%, then pick Ruthlessness and look the numbers.
Cody, i believe the reason you have not finished the health quest (Fragile Body) is that you have been picking up heslth potions during the runs. In the Quest description it say (Don't use ITEMS, BLESSINGS, OR TRAITS). I believe that must include anything to help you heal, from pots to increased Regen.
thanks for the video, I keep the sound off as I play music in the background. I have found picking up the Needle ability great weapon special when you pick up the second one. Good luck on your next run.
Shield bash and Golem 3M damage were the worst to achieve, you kinda have to cheese the game to get, like, rush to the living wall in 3rd stage as soon as possible and let them cook, also I used a amulet that gives +50% damage if you have some foes in your pickup range
I wonder if it's your item load out that's bugging it out like the bloodsoaked shirt or health pots might count maybe, it says items, blessings, or traits. It could also be bugged too
Taking aim ? The not moving for 180 seconds quest? Best way to do it is get a couple of spells and then wait till you kill a boss and then just stand still for the 3 minutes. They are unlocked from beating bosses on different stages. I don't remember who exactly but its the main quest stuff that shows at the end of run. Exterminator is first stage. I think the lich? For cleric and warlock its 2nd stage. No idea who cause they were unlocked from the prologue progress i had. For sheild maiden and sorceress its the 3rd stage bosses. Horse guy for sorceress and I think sheild was the frost knight.

For the 3rd stage need some damage upgrades from the shrine. And then the best spells for damage are the 2 lighting ones and the metor. Try to get their upgrades if you can. Avoid golem and orbs they don't do enough compared to the rest. The others I didn't list are good, not the best not the worst but really need their upgrades to pop off. And then my strategy usually is grab the free spells on the map and camp by the last one. Stay in the middle of the stage and just move in like a side to side circle so you can hit the guard dudes that don't aggro.
I was trying to go for the no defense quest and I was thinking defense and block were defensive traits. But the quest was bugged. Was able to confirm with the discord its just avoid defense.
