too loud and too long of a transition. Looks like they are 6-7 seconds. Maybe cut down to 1-2 seconds or just scrap them

Yeah, was watching this and it's so annoying. Great video, but the music becomes suddenly loud and the voice is too low. Gotta keep my cursor on mute just to mute the music quickly without waking up my neighbours.

Usually, we shouldn't do it bcz of different screen size devices. But still use the design section of xml for it.

Hi Jishnu N Krishnan,
Ya, Android Studio provides constraint layout by default if we use template to create activity. This is because studio always use latest or upgaded things in it's tamplates, constraint layout is basically super relative layout, which has more things to do rather then just puting child views into their relative positions. But you can say constraint layout is still updating by google, they are trying to make it better and better in each update. Personally i know how to use it, also implemented in several projects but my experience is not so good.
It feels less control on view, creates mess if we have too many child views to show and it completely manages from design view, we don't' use xml view to make our layouts. So due to use of design view it also take too much processing and clearly visible slowness in low end PCs (like Intel i3). So the thing is you can't set relative layout as default in templates until you create your own custom template.
For now just replace contraint layout tag with relative layout.
