I love how she disciplines the children. She isn't constantly scolding them on what's wrong she let's them learn right from wrong on their own or reprimands them in a sweet sill manner and they almost always listen to her 💕
i just LOVE it when i see you, katilette , interact with your kids. you are such a loving, patient, and extremely humorous lady/mom. it gives me memories, at times, when my kids were little. everyone had their own unique and sweet personality. YOU are a wonderful mom.

Colette is such a wonderful patient mother. I'd freak at my kids if they were that loud and fussy, I get annoyed easily by loud noises. And it's so wonderful to see how she handles it so well.

I don't know about everyone else, but growing up my parents taught me that thanksgiving is about being thankful for the things that have happened in the year. In school in was taught that we celebrate it in honor of the pilgrims and natives that worked together in order to survive the winter.
I'm so thankful that you make these videos because you really do cheer me up on bad days!
Collete you really should do more cooking vlogs. I tried the recipe for the bannana bread and my family loved it it! I would love to learn how to cook more! Like maybe the enchiladas that you make some times. Please do more of these videos. I would watch them all the time!!!!

I just made it and I absolutely love it!! Cut the recipe in half cause I only had one pan for it and it worked it great and really moist

I just found your channel and I love it! I had to pause this video to tell you that I constantly call my 2 year old "turkey lurkey" and when you said it I cracked up!
I use my mom's banana bread recipe too...we use half whole wheat flour and half regular unbleached flour, comes out soooo good and moist! And we don't use walnuts, we use pecans in the south! :)

Thanks for sharing ur mom's recipe, that makes it extra special! I luv banana bread & for 25 yrs. hv used the James Beard recipe. Rather than typing it out here I'm sure u can look it up I line, & compare! I add pecans sometimes. I. The south we use a lot if pecans. U r an awesome mom, & my grandson is 10 yrs old so he'd fit right in w/ u guys! Ha! His Lil sis is almost 4! God bless u guys!

I made this last night! SO GOOD! :) I did change some things though. I split the recipe in half, used butter instead of shortening, and added some chocolate chips and walnuts. I give it a trillion bananas out of 4!
My mom has a banana bread recipe that is really good and it is healthy. She uses applesauce instead of oil, wheat flour instead of regular flour and cane sugar instead of regular sugar. I love it!

Yes, shortening is basically butter and/or margarine.

Hey katilette! I notices where you were greasing the pan you used a paper towel to spread the shortening! I use that way often but there is another way (less messy) to do it! You take a ziploc baggie and flip it inside out. Then put your hand inside the bag and if you want place a rubber band (or hair tie) around the bag. This will give you a little better control and it is MUCH less messier! Hope this helps!!

Hey Katilette, the way I grease any pans is I put my hand in a plastic ziplock baggy and afterwards then I flip over the bag and it creates little mess. Hopefully this will help on your next baking adventure with the kids :)

Looks delicious. I bet you can use cocunut oil in place of Crisco since it's similar consistency and it's healthy.
That is such a neat trick! I never knew you could freeze bananas like that and they'd still be good to eat!

when u freeze bananas...peel them before you freeze then theyre easy to pop in smoothies too!
