    Just what I was looking for. Rather than these "altars" to the mitre saw, I have a small basement footprint. Needed something that could be put out of the way but still easily accessible. Well done. Love the look of the walnut handle also. Can't wait to try this. Thank you!

    @ThomasCustomWoodworks thanks for the lesson...do you have a link to the folding brackets please? Those are exactly what I'm looking for the folding workbench I need to make.

    I just came across this video so excuse me if im a bit late but may i ask what table saw you are using. I have a ridgid that looks similar and didnt think it would accept a dado stack. But if yours is the same model then i wont have to spent money on a new one

    Nice work Thomas.
    I have two questions for you related to your table saw rather than the actual build of the mitre saw cart. If you have time.
    I believe you have a Ridgid table saw?
    Can you tell me what dado stack you are using? Just any old 6 1/2 stack should work I guess?
    Second, where did you find the dado throat plate for the stack/saw combination?
    Thanks

    I don’t have a table saw so it will be difficult to make the dados. Do you think it would be suitable to glue and screw all of the pieces of the cabinet together instead?

    Can i use this build on a sliding miter saw 10in ryobi brushless???

    • @ThomasCustomWoodworks
      @ThomasCustomWoodworks  8 місяців тому

      Potentially. I am not sure the size of that miter saw and this miter saw station is for the smaller ryobi saw. Check my website (thomascustomwoodworks.com) for dimensions on this build. I will be coming out with plans for a larger miter saw station in June that will definitely fit your saw.

    what size Mitre Saw are you building for? is that a 10"? do your plans have measurement for larger mitre saws? (12")?

      @ThomasCustomWoodworks  Рік тому

      This is a 10” miter saw and the plans are for this specific miter saw, though they can be easily modified.

    Hi Thomas, I purchased your plans for the midar station, but some of the pages are coming up blank or with only links to amazon. I've tried printing 3 times and the same thing. I have pictures of the semi-blank pages but didnt realize I can't upload them here. Please advise on what I should do. thanks

      Hi Leanne,
      I just messaged you on Etsy and I will make sure you receive the correct plans. I’m sorry about that and once you respond to my Etsy message I will email you the plans.

    What about this design made it such an improvement from the one you had before with the wooden wing supports? I'm about to replace my folding job site stand with a mobile shop version and I'm all for learning from other's life choices!

      Great question. There is nothing incredible different about this new miter saw station but there are a few things that I like about lot better.
      - no fence (it would just get in the way)
      - t-track for a stop block
      - hardwood edge-banding
      - simpler folding hardware

      @CustomWoodworks Thank you for reply! When you say simpler folding hardware, do you mean simpler to use or simpler to build? It looks like you can raise and lower these one handed vs your older cart. Is that your experience when working with it regularly?

    Nice job! Think I just might be using your idea if that’s ok with you? The only thing I would like to add is more drawers in the empty space or set my soon to purchase spindle sander in there.

    I'm fairly new to this kind of woodworking, so, at the risk of sounding naive, the dimensions will change with the size of your mitersaw, right

    • @ThomasCustomWoodworks
      @ThomasCustomWoodworks  Рік тому

      Yes, it is possible that if you do not have the same miter saw as this one, the dimensions of this build may need to change slightly.

    I just finished building this miter station from the plans, went to put my Dewalt Compound miter saw in, then find out my saw is an inch to wide. My fault for assuming miter saws were standardized. So builder beware. I will have to modify to make it fit, uggg.
