Yep…it’s actually a lot more dangerous to go the bottom of the Mariana Trench than what it is to go the moon
Its a tragedy..even if they arre found, there is nothing to help them get back up that exists at this day and age. Hearing experts is heart-wrenching to hear...because they know how this will end😔

The Ocean is a vast place.
My heart breaks for the 19 year old the most. The grown men should’ve known better, why take such a risk and put your families through anxiety for adventures? F’ing selfish.. was going to space not enough?! You had to go visit the titanic?!! It’s a grave site, let it be for godsakes. I hope they are found, but I also hope they never take such a stupid risk again. For breaking records?! C’mon
It’s because they have money. When you have those amounts of money nothing interests you. You have to take it to extremes just to find some excitement.

You have to accept risks every day, and people balance the risk to benefit ratio and do it, or dont. I bet that son and dad had a pretty good relationship and were excited for this trip. It’s just mind boggling to have all that tech to map out the star systems but we don’t have yet much tech to monitor our deep oceans.

I support the efforts of scientists and adventurers to blaze new trails, but taking a teenager down there was very irresponsible.
The other three passengers have decades of experience doing extreme trips and are far more aware of the true potential for fatalities.
