Terrible and unfortunately I can't see it getting any better with the squad we have. St Mirren played well, as I expected after watching their game the other night. SDG was there, but it seems he never learned a thing, or maybe, no probably, don't have the players to compete. For me this is where the problems lie. We have once again failed utterly to address the elephant in the room...we simply don't have quality throughout the team. For a club like St Mirren to start the season with 4 strikers, where we have only 2 and one of those literally just in is, for Hibs, unacceptable. In essence we still have the same failures as last season, despite all the money we were meant to have available. We reap what we sew.
Love the podcast guys, always great to hear your thoughts. With the squad we've got this season, we will have a lot of these results. The main issue here, if we get rid of most of the players we deem not good enough, do we then trust the people in charge to bring in a better quality of player in for each position? We were all delighted when we brought in 2 centre halfs almost immediately, but they dont seem to be any better than what we have, same basic errors costing us and still conceding far too many goals to teams that are in our division. It seems as soon as we take a "supposed" step forward, a few weeks down the line we find out it was actually a step back.
Club is broken from top to bottom. Ian Gordon isn’t a football man and doesn’t understand the game. Kensell has been a colossal failure when we review happenings ON the pitch. David Gray was a lazy appointment. You can’t give a person a job of this size because he scored a goal in a cup final. His communication skills are average at best, no experience, and he was the one responsible for “motivating” the players last season in the pre-game huddle. The goalkeepers and centre halves are worse than what we had in the building last season. And we’ve still got a bloated squad full of bang average players. This is a few years to fix but only with the right people In charge. The manager is the most important person at a football club yet we continually gamble in this area. Totally disillusioned, another rotten season ahead, and with the current regime, zero confidence on it getting better.
Brutal lads. The first one NMW is turned and just seems to freeze like a rabbit in the lights. Marv pass back was even worse. I know we've signed Myko but we need another option up there. Thing is the wage bill is significantly higher then St Mirren.
Oh hibs, please please please don't stop being hibs.......😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great podcast ❤

Groundhog season with hibs
Good podcast guys.
This era of hibs feels worse than the late 80s and early 90s.
