Hello Kt Gg , Yes im using raw milk , yes its enough to heat the whey for 48 C , since im often making halloumi cheese , and i tried to heat the whey for 85 C but its not good for me the cheese starts to break into pieces. So for me 48 C is best for soaking the halloumi for 30-45 mins or until it floats.
Can I use Homogenized pasterized (Not ultra) Milk? In New York it seems is prohibited to sell non-homogenized milk but will check again at big supermarket
that's unusual, i used to heat the whey to 85 celcius then put the curd in, cooked about 15-20 minutes. But you are not even heated it up... that is interesting, any reason why so?
Thank you for your answer very fast .but I mean raw milk is not pasteurized so heating the whey to79 -90 kills bad bacteria and the cheese become healthy . so heating the whey to 48 c make the cheese good but not healthy . !!! You used calcium chloride for raw milk do you think raw milk becam healthy ??? Again thank you
Have you ever tried skipping the calcium chloride when using raw milk? I believe you only need it when using pasteurized and homogenized milk. I've never been able to test it out myself though. Sadly, I can't seem to find a source of raw milk where I live. If you ever try it yourself or have any information about the subject, please let me know.
What is the name of culture used
How much sodium cloride do i mix in with the water? I have a bag of it
Hello you used raw milk you heat the whey to 48 degrees is it enough to pasteurized the cheese ??? . Thank you

Can i make this with supermarket milk?
Fresh raw milk does not require calcium chloride nor culture. There is enough of both in the milk already.. But when did you add the rennet?
Excellent. I will try.

Slowdown when you show the addition of the calcium chloride. I almost missed it!

Cal.chl. is only needed for pasteurized milk. You can make cheese without it when using raw milk.
@@Deiniel91 it can be used for raw milk, especially if it came from underfed cow.
