Hey! I’m planning to commit to Bentley, but I have a few questions: 1) How do you feel about attending Bentley as an Asian American? Do you miss the food at home? 2) Is the shuttle service to Harvard square still up and running? If not, is there another way to get to Boston? 3) How’s the party scene? Have you ever been to one? 4) What’s your major? Do you feel like you’re able to achieve your full potential at Bentley? 5) Will you continue to make new videos? Do you use social media? I would love to see more from you after this whole coronavirus outbreak is over. Stay safe!
Hi Zack! I'm an Asian myself and really want to commit to Bentley. I have a few questions though: 1) How's the teaching style in Bentley (are there a ton of lectures or more class discussions) 2) Are there a lot of career employabilities and opportunities (good internship chances too)? Since Bentley isn't a university of that high of a reputation

hey Misha! 1). There are a lot of Asian Americans that attend Bentley so it isn't difficult to find your place! I definitely miss food from home all the time, but you quickly learn to make do of what's on campus. 2). There's still a shuttle service, but it brings you about halfway to Harvard square. You'll need to take a public bus to actually get there, but it's not that bad. 3). The party scene is dominated by greek life, though it isn't hard to attend a party and have fun with friends. There are also nights where you can go into Boston and have parties at other schools. 4). I personally don't see a drastic difference. 5). So I applied to Bentley intending to be a marketing major, but I'm currently an Economics-Finance major. I'd definitely say Bentley provides a plethora of resources for anyone to succeed professionally, but it's heavily oriented around corporate performance. Not to mention Bentley's particularly known for accounting/finance majors, but any student, despite major, definitely has plenty of opportunities to prosper. 6). Find a comfortable friend group fast. People around campus are generally very friendly, but friend circle forms soon into freshman year and carry you through the rest of the time since you see the same faces everywhere. 7). I really liked high school and I have friends from home that I've been best friends with for my whole life. With that being said I don't think any college experience would beat that of high school for me, but I have plenty of friends on campus that really enjoy their time at Bentley. Take to consideration that Bentley's a small school and that college life at a school with 5,000 students will be a lot different than a school with 50,000 students in terms of meeting new people. 8). I didn't plan on making any more videos, but being quarantined has had me reconsider. We'll see. If you have any additional questions feel free to reach out to me on instagram @zackwang_ ~Hope this helped
Hey Zack! I'm thinking about applying to Bentley and have a few questions for you. 1) What's the school spirit like at Bentley? Like at games and competitions and stuff. 2) As for the other people that don't like the food, is it that it's monotonous or that it tastes bad or that there isn't enough variety or something? Cause I LOVE food and I need to know haha 3) How far is Bentley from places you can go out to ? Like where is the nearest mall or is there another University around? 4) How do you like Waltham? I know - it's a lot but thanks so much for your video! It was really helpful :)
Hey! 1). There's a lot of school spirit during hockey games and on campus events, but not as much during other sporting events. You will see a couple of people walking around with Bentley attire and a lot of people take pride in coming to this school. 2). A combination of everything you've mentioned. Although there isn't much variety, the food is tolerable. I'm a huge foodie myself and I was able to tolerate it. 3.) As of right now, Bentley provides a shuttle that goes between campus and Harvard Square. It's convenient because Harvard Square enables you to get on the T. If you're not familiar with the T, it's basically the easiest way to get around Boston. There's plenty to do in Boston and I've been seeing high school friends a bunch that attend school around the area. Although, there's a rumor that the shuttle might get changed. 4.) Waltham is actually pretty cool. We share the town with Brandeis University and I've met some pretty nice people from that school just from being downtown. I haven't done enough exploring to say that it's good or bad, but I've been having a good time so far. I'm glad the video was helpful. Sorry for the lengthy response. Good luck with college apps!
would a semester exchange student be able to still befriend etc in Bentley? Do y’all have school games we can experience.? (I’m not from USA) and I’m a freshman right now taking an English Lit Major, so I’d love to preplan! Thank you for this sharing!
Hi Vanna. I think there are plenty of clubs/organizations that will give you the opportunity to make friends. I wouldn't say there's a lot of 'games' to participate in on campus. A lot of the things you do you plan for yourself, but there are a lot of food related events. In terms of academics, make sure you want to be a business major if you were to come to Bentley. I'd recommend doing your own independent research and creating your own roadmap for where you want your degree to take you before committing to Bentley. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any further questions.
@@zackwang32 thank you so much for the help as well as the insight, Zack!! I really really appreciate the reply, that helps a lot since I’m not coming as a Full-Undergrad BUT as a Semester exchange student! It sounds like a similar driven system to my home country’s own Uni, so this really helps! By games I meant school games like Ice Hockey or Football etc and if they’ll allow students to buy tickets to support! And thank you so much, I know my school has had seniors going for my major to Bentley too, and it seems like a really niche and focused college! I’ll look forward to planning for trying toward the Bentley exchange! Thank you so much again! Hope you enjoy the week and a blessed day:)
Sorry but I don't think I'll be of much help with this question. I actually don't know what the technology fee covers. Neither do I know how much it is. :(
I've been enjoying Bentley a lot! Although I don't have a core group of friends, I've met a lot of amazing people and everyone I've interacted with are relatively inviting/friendly. As for academics, I like how the classes are small (15-25 people). For me, it allows me to engage the class more and ask specific questions. I think determining whether or not the school is worth it is totally up to your expectations. I didn't have much expectations coming into college. I personally just wanted a school that wasn't too big, but not too small. I also wanted to learn not only from professors but the people around me as well. As far as those two criteria go, I've been content at Bentley. (Sorry for the long reply. Hope this helps)
@@zackwang32 I've also been enjoying Bentley a lot! I also don't have a core group of friends. I tend to just sit in my dorm and eat tendies from the dining hall. I think this is the optimal college experience at Bentley University.

Do students need a car to get around?
Not necessarily. There's a shuttle that goes between campus and Harvard Square, but a car is definitely useful.
is it hard to get into bentely?
hard is a pretty ambiguous term, but I'd say Bentley isn't that hard to get in to.
