So sad to hear of your mother’s passing. We enjoy so much that you are taking us on your travels and you both are certainly inspiring us to visit new countries. We have booked three cruises next year and planning a visit to Burgas in 2026 . I hope one day that our paths may cross and would like to meet you for a beer . Your mother must have been so proud of you. God bless x

My wife and I had joined the WC in Amsterdam and looked for everyone we had been following throughout the start of the world cruise. We got to say hello to everyone but you two. The only times we would see you was at dinner in the MDR and we didn’t want to disturb you while eating. Really enjoy your videos and enjoyed the small portion of the trip we were on.

I visited this port back in 2019 and it rained from noon on. I really liked the city and if we had more time I would’ve gone further out and see some things but the rain really was a washout. The kind where you have to stay in or be washed away. When we got back to the ship, so much rain had fallen that the walkway to the ship had flooded (still usable but with a good inch of water) and friends that went back early bcuz of the rain said one of the lounges was leaking. It was a royal ship… trying to recall the name, it was an older ship but one of my favorites. Love your videos.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I really appreciate you sharing with us. 💔Not easy sharing vulnerability on the Internet. I look forward to whatever you two get up to after this cruise. I'm behind on your videos and working on catching up. A question for you: and let me know if this is covered somewhere already. How do you deal with Internet when cruising? I'm planning a trip to Australia, NZ and onto French Polynesia and wonder if I need the cruise plan or and e-sim or what? Tips?

That look fascinating but also capacity for very raw coldness! I guess the lobster dinner was good value because they are the local catch - supply not an issue. Its fascinating to see the local lives - I always find that side of going somewhere really interesting too - what do they do? Where do they go? What are their lives like? Sorry to hear of your loss on New Years Eve - it must have been difficult to be so far away. X

Although you did a great job showing the downtown area overall, I think you might have fallen a little short showing some of the historical importance of St. John's, and you might have left the city looking a bit short on its size. (You suggested you would do the whole city in 20 minutes on an E-bike.) In reality it would take more than that to just cross the city on one of those bikes. The city has a web of trails & routes for walking and biking that offer incredible views & points of interest along the way. As for the history of North America's oldest city, it would have also been worthy of note that St. John's & places in NL were the first to be settled in North America because of the fishery, that offered employment for many thousands of Europeans, and food for millions for centuries. (It was said that the first explorers encountered waters with so much fish, it slowed the passage of their ships.) Because of the importance of the resources, NL was the site of battles between France & England during the French revolutionary war. St. John's was the site of the first trans-Atlantic wireless signal, and NL was also the starting point of the first trans-atlantic flight. St. John's was also of great strategic importance during the 2nd world war. Its too bad that your visit was during a rainy day, because there is an incredible amount of things to see otherwise.

The beauty of Newfoundland is not in the small port, the countryside is beautiful and rugged. It's pronounced Newfunland with no emphasis on fun.

There are not two St John's in Canada . There is one and that's in Newfounland. The other is called St John and it's in New Brunswick

St. John’s, Quebec: This is a small community within the city of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Additionally, there is a city named Saint John in New Brunswick (without an apostrophe and ‘s’)
