They switched to online school and we lost connection fast. But at least a month we got back together in a discord call with another one of their friends. At this time I never realized how much I loved them, I didn’t realize I had a crush on them all these years. We were in the group call and the other friend (let’s call her snatcher) says she likes someone. We ask who and she says “hatkid”… The thing is that we’d assign ourselves characters from games we’d play and they were hatkid. I didn’t realize it then but now I regret never considering the feelings I had for them. Now they’re happy with their partner… I’m happy for them, but I still miss those days.
