It’s nice that you gave the demo and actually used it the same day to continue the review
The mat seems like it’s too rigid to conform to the shape of the hammock when a person is in it
Not sure if the tarp would protect you from heavy rain, always a good idea to bring an extra light weight tarp..just in case
Over all, it looks like a nice hammock set
Until the next time..take care 🇨🇦❤️
I think the hammock needs to be longer for the mat to be able to get a more flat lay. The tarp is actually fine for rain as it seems to have all angle covered specially when pinned down if it was in bad rain, but like the haven, but a better amount of area to cook under etc. when open 👍 thanks for watchingas always
Is that the mating call of the Novice Wild camper, or a Harrier jump jet about to clear the woodland canopy?? 😂 All joking apart, I’m impressed, and I normally go for separate components for my hammock/tarp setup. Thanks for the show and tell, can you let us know how long the hammock part is please? 👍🏻🏴🥃. ps A down underquilt is an absolute game changer in terms of comfort in the hammock, you’d never go back to using a mat 👍🏻
I normally use my onetigris down under quilt tbh but this came with the pad and it wasn't cold so thought I'd test without.
Sounds like what I've been looking for, will you do a vid on the tent setup too. I'll have to see that set up before i get one. Nice one 👍
Something I've always wondered about hammocks. A bit like a web with a diagonal tension field (due to thin fabrics , probably non linear behaviour as well). Your explanation seems to bear this out too. Worthy of a simulation model to evaluate designs. I wonder if anyone did this.
I'd love to have been able to use some kind of graphic to show how the mat sits inside at the width it's at but I don't have those skills or the technology 🙄
What is the fly sheet made out of .looks like polyester?
I like the quile set up and closed ends and the sewn in bug net .excellent .
Looks near perfect. I am concerned about how reputable this company is because it is a very tempting offer, but dealing with an unknown overseas company gives me pause. Does anyone know anything about this company?
It's a new kickstarter so no but what I can say is it feels really well made. Haven started on kickstarter with no previous business as did many others so it's a matter of a leap of faith but you jabe warranty etc and they seem responsive I'm my dealings with them and even made changes after my first review to resolve the issues 👌
I think you had a problem obtaining a "flat lay" was because you are too tall for this hammock. I am six foot one and require an eleven-foot hammock to achieve a "flat lay." A twelve-foot hammock is ideal for me. I think you are taller than me, so you would require a twelve-foot hammock or longer. Manufacturers do not mention this information generally.
Would you need to attach drip lines on the ridgeline or suspension to prevent water, during inclement weather, getting into the hammock space by capillary action?
Depends if you have much tree strap left over. That would work as a drip line. But yes agree that the length is the issue for me although the pad is not far off my height.
Best UA-camr and best channel….. your awesome 🙌
Cheers buddy. See you Wednesday 👍
