The only reason why the Chinese masters couldn't beat Xu Xiadong was because his tongue was in the wrong position and one of his toes was raised up while another one of his toes was pushed down.
I looked at all the footage and saw you were correct. He must've studied before all the fights giving him an unfair advantage. If anyone else were to fight one of the masters they would've been destroyed.
What gets me is that the guy labels his own abilities as slightly above average and past his prime, and yet his record is undefeated. You'd think law of averages would say he'd get taken down at least once, but it goes to show how useless this state mandated martial art is.
@@TheFirstLaughingFool I guess it's as he said in the video, the masters are fooling themselves at times. As for the country, they might be in too deep and are just hoping someone beats him
The smirk on Xu's face when they call the fight a draw, is beyond hilarious. This should be studied as to how an entire country can be subjected to gaslighting at even the most detailed level.
There should be a study on why Western media are so determined to play out this Anti-China narrative where it gaslights Westerners into believing that they themselves are not being gaslighted and it is instead the Chinese government that is the comic book supervillian working for evil
'The Bizarre world' series always starts as: "HAHAHA what silly people, how can people believe this?" @@lagudoufu I am more than happy to hear more information if you can provide sources and specific details on the inaccuracy of the video, what specifically did he get wrong?
@@flamefromHalo "Social Credit" does not actually exist, the "Chinese Clown Makeup" that Xu Xiaodong wore was in fact, not anywhere close to "Clown Makeup". The name "徐冬瓜" (Xu Donggua) does not mean idiot or whatever he said in the video, it's simply his name (Xu Dong in the Xiaodong which is a common way to tell people's names) but with the 瓜 added at the end, which means fruit, melon, etc. (for example 西瓜 is watermelon). The only possible way for it to be derogetory would be to say 傻瓜 (傻 meaning dumb). I stopped watching the video at 24 mins so I likely missed more inaccuracies outside of these.
@@lagudoufu apologies, but it seems that my reply was deleted, I assume because it gave links to other sites. The clown makeup example was a quote from Xu Dong and likely a translation error or journalistic flair. He was, however, coerced into wearing said makeup by chinese officials, according to him, so maybe it made him feel like a clown. His title 'winter melon' was supposedly one given to make fun of his large stature, acorrding to him. I do not know where the 'mad dog' came from. The social credit system has been well documented in china and many countries [including the US] have metrics to value their citizens with. It may not be the boogeyman people make it out to be 100% of the time, but some places do have a government appointed metric for their citizens that can hinder their options in life.
You know actually that's not true - I tried using my mind powers to stop the guy who was punching me in the face, but it turns out he didn't believe in my mind powers, rendering them ineffective. I think he might have wiggled his toes or something, too, that can mess 'em up as well.
Thank you eyepatch for confirming the "shock" state when a person gets punched in his face first time. My exact words were "how could this happen" as I lay on the street...
I had that with a kick in training capoira several years ago. You might call it a none committed kick cause it was practice but I think we both were a bit reckless back than and I ended up getting a kick and I just thought "I should be able to get up on my feet it doesn't even hurt much" but I just kind of stayed on my butt with a sore chick
I remember the first time myself. I had been in karate for a few years, and it was always these "soft" punches (even though we had gear). My friend had wanted to fight me and I agreed but he wanted a pair of gloves. I gave him mine and weirdly manipulated the foot padding things to be gloves. He decked me right away and laughed. I was so shocked my practice was gone in an instant. I got up and when we restarted I did the same thing he did to me. I decked him right away. We stopped for a minute. We went again again. And we traded a few times. I don't remember who won that third "match". All I remember is that we just kept going for another thirty minutes. Still under those rules where a clean hit "wins" and then there was a break. We just had so much fun fighting. We didn't get salty about it. We never yelled at each other about "oh that was lucky". We just kept at it cause, well it's gonna sound corny, we were friends. I quit karate almost immediately after (convinced my mom to by another set of gear though before I told her I was done). I got a lot of friends then in the neighborhood who just wanted to take turns fighting each other. We ended having a group of eight and we used one of my old trophies as a "belt" for the reigning "champ". Well, long story short it was great time in my life. The champ was always this guy named chandler. Everyone else could take a few punches from each other but man thay dude was knockdown champ. I only ever beat him once cause I tripped up his legs, and no kid on the ground wants to get hit a bunch, so I got the win. I'm not really proud of it cause who would ever brag about winning one fight as a kid lmao. But those memories mean a lot to me still. Just a bunch of kids fighting for fun. We wanted to win but it's not like any of us hated anyone else. Anyway, this comment really shocked that memory forward into my brain and had me smiling really hard to myself. Thanks for that.
Makes me wanna get punched a few times by a friend just in case the real deal actually happens. Closest I've got is some rough crossfaces in wrestling 😂
Xu Xaidong seriously impresses me beyond belief. The man fights for the truth, despite the avalanche of forces that oppose him. I will forever look up to him as an inspiration, and a reminder that you should always fight for the truth, regardless of who or what opposes you.
@@paulojhon007 it would be cool, but no one is gonna risk pissing China off (like how no one recognizes Taiwan as a nation, because they are the old China and still claim to be)
@Russ Olson What Chinese ethics did you study? The ones taught by those no-touch KO "masters"? Loyality is above all virtues; Also, Confucius succeeded in what? His ambition was to help create a country governed by his principles, you know, since he was a political philosopher first and foremost. That didn't happen for a few hundred years after his death.
@Russ Olson I admit, I did misread you somewhat, but still, I believe you're making a mistake and simultaniusly are right but at a different angle here- Confucianism isn't "a force towards the optimum"; virtues of the past are always more important than what is most efficient/proffitable/popular. In this sence the traditional martial artists are in the right here- they claim superiority because they stay true to old principles. In the present day it is sound and impeccable from a neoconfucian standpoint, employed by the Chinese society and, to some extent, the state. However as a classical confucianist myself I can't oversee one crucial point- both sides are wrong, mainly because kung fu and other martial arts here are fairly modern. Wei Liaozi would probably argue that they are not martial arts at all, since, what is most crucial, they don't employ weapons and are not ment to settle any conflicts. They don't have a cultural significance, they're not music nor poetry, just forms of dance. They don't give military strenght, just an illusion of one, so they can't really be deployed in peace-keeping nor defence of the state. As for your last paragraph, I think you might have fallen victim to unfaithful translations. Granted, my understanding of written classical Chinese isn't perfect, I read most the classics in Japanese, but still the simmilarity of writting gives a certain assurance neither Latin nor Cyrilic scripts can't grant. It's not trying to be the best that matters, it's being correct/propper/sound. Confucius always avoided superlatives and uncertain ideals.
We need more people like Xu in the world. He's suffered discrimination for his beliefs, has been harassed and attacked by a country that hates him, yet he continues to fight. He could've easily fled to another country and lived a peaceful life, but he stays and continues to battle for what he believes is right because he truly loves his country and wants the best for it. This man is a hero, there's no other way to put it. I wish him luck in his endeavors. As long as his spirit is free, he's unstoppable.
As someone who fought amateur and practices martial arts for work (high risk security and PSD), you hit the nail 100% on the head when you said that learning how to get punched was one of the most important lessons of martial arts. You can be one of the most accomplished practitioners out there, but you will be at a disadvantage if you have never participated in full contact sparring. There's no substitute or mental preparation that prepares you for the first solid punch you catch with your face. Learning how to overcome that shock and recover to keep fighting is one of the most critical lessons of any true martial art. There are many valuable lessons that can be taken from meditation and the concept of Chi. The meditation and breathing techniques can reduce stress and anxiety. There is also a lot of evidence that these techniques can help soothe irritations of the vagus nerve (which causes everything from indigestion and flatulence to abnormal heart rhythms. However, it's not a fighting art. It can supplement a fighting art as part of a whole person/whole warrior concept, but it is not a substitute for real world training in striking and grappling arts.

Xu's story deserves to go down for centuries, he's done nothing but expose how badly censorship, and harassment can get. Not to mention selling lies about Martial Arts. I hope Xu knows he's a legend, and deserves to go down as one.
The impact Xu has reached Americans and the few fighters i know are genuinely touched by his story. The man is seriously a legend. Does anyone know if there is any way to help this man?
Wuxia is a genre of myth and storytelling that is just insane and rife with just all of the "fake martial arts" tropes, and I still find it both hilarious and endearing because of that. It's like superhero comics, but you attain your powers through cultivation and self-improvement rather than simply through coincidence or divine providence.
And just like superheroes, it can be refreshing and inspiring to enjoy that media, but dangerous to act as if it's real and that it applies to anyone in specific.
By giving Shu that face-paint and ostracizing him, they have incidentally made him the protagonist of his own anime. What a legend for sticking to his own guns even after everything they did to him, a lesser person would have let the tai chi guy win that fight, takes a lot of guts to do what he did
Not eating rice doesn’t affect. That man claims he hadn’t eaten enough rice while people ranging from age 12-50 will still be able to carry out work or sports(except heavy lifting) without eating one meal
As an ethnically Chinese that attended wushu class (because my grandfather was a "master"), it's basically just learning dancing. Zero sparring. I doubt any of the "masters" ever been in a real fight or even competition in their lives.
Xu isn't wrong at all. Bruce Lee's philosophy for Jeet Kune Do was something that shook up traditional Chinese understanding of martial arts and most people weren't happy with that. Years later, however, we see how far ahead of his time Lee really was. MMA is exactly what fighting should be because no one style is the best. All people are different and everyone has strengths and weaknesses. While traditional Chinese Kung Fu is great and all, its practical application has long since been supplanted not only by MMA but by things like guns. It's very interesting to see that China's government is now promoting Kung Fu as a way of propaganda. I was ready to come to this video and say you were full of shit, but you hit the nail on the head. Those fighting styles definitely have something to them and it certainly helps your body and mind grow to learn one, but you can't simply rely on rigid technique. Being rigid in life, much like in a fight, will get you nowhere.

I've heard multiple Martial arts teachers say that martial arts doesn't give you nearly as much of an edge as people think and that in real life it might not even matter. Especially if you get jumped by multiple people.
I think it was Bruce Lee who said most people would get all the skill and advantage they possibly could with a year each of studying boxing, grappling, and judo. Anything more is for show. Most martial arts techniques past a beginner level are for discipline and control, not actual combat.
As a woman it doesn't even help with sexual assault as most people who SA are someone you know and trust e.g partner, relative, friend, coworker/boss and/or when you can't defend yourself e.g when drunk or otherwise intoxicated, or asleep. In the rarer cases when it is a stranger and you are not intoxicated often it involves a weapon, especially in the US where there is often a gun involved.
It is amazing how Xu’s story and existence in his own country is seen as shameful and disgraced, but if you tell literally anybody in a different part of the world about him and they will see it as something so incredibly brave and powerful that hearing about his unjust treatment makes them sick to their stomach. In a community that’s supposedly all about discarding hatred and rather using their enemies’ own negative emotions against them, there is an awful large amount of venom and anger being spat at a man whose only crime is not believing in the same mentality. I’m really hoping that Xu’s campaign against what is basically the entire Chinese system doesn’t end up ruining the lives of him and his loved ones.

To me, he's a coward. Check his vids fighting real martial artists of Sanda and Muay Thai, he was no match.
Funnily enough, the very premise of much of the recent Chinese martial art films (Ip Man 2 especially but also Master Z) is the story of the antagonist.
I was raised in a cult and the first thing I thought of when you got to the "no touch" ""masters"" was when people would get, as they put it, "slain in the spirit." Benny Hinn is a perfect example of that. Crazy to see the similarities.
What Xu is doing is many layers deeper than meets the eye. Within the complexities of his mission, he may be helping in improving the world and our future. In a way, he's disciplining frauds and freeing us all at once. This is an example of needed pragmatism.
I've just started to realize the existence of Chinese social credit. I honestly thought, at 28 years old and just a couples of seconds ago, that it was a myth. A myth. Or you know, something that happens in some weird surreal science-fiction novel, but not real life.
It's especially strange that there's a whole lot of american people pushing that it's a myth, because for some reason they want to present China as better than the US. So they pretend there is no concentration camps, they pretend social credit score isn't a thing, they pretend the elections they have are genuine, and they pretend the emissions numbers are all a big lie. Very strange. All I can think is maybe it's just china propaganda intended to sway people but it doesn't seem too convincing.
Same thing goes for a lot of self defence courses. They teach ridiculous moves that will never work in a real scenario. I remember two friends had done a self defence course for over two years (both young petite women) and thought they could take me on (out of shape, never done weights or anything other than some basic boxing and a lot of sports as a kid but 6'3"). One arm each I could easily control both of them. There is a very real danger that someone will use what they have learnt and get themselves into a situation that either they could have run from or talked their way out.
Many Chinese actually would side with him although they aren't allowed to make that opinion public. He touched the hornets nest that is the people with connections with the politicians of the CCP.
The bit on Xu Xiaodong was incredible. You could have done a video on just him alone. It is sad that a loyal citizen of China challenges an ancient dogma about the martial arts in his country and his country turns on him. I felt his heartbreak from his social media videos. If I had been him I probably would have stopped fighting Martial Arts "Masters" after that fight was declared a draw because that would have proven to me that he could no longer rely on anyone being fair or impartial in those fights.
You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. "Ancient dogma" you say? For most of China's history, there were "death matches" where different martial arts instructors would challenge one another in public, and often the loser would be crippled or killed. Chinese Kung Fu instructors would travel the country and fight anyone willing to challenge them. There isn't a country on Earth which still allows this nonsense, which inevitably starts gang-fights. What happened to Xu would have happened in any western country; if you go online and start insulting and harassing Karate and Taekwondo instructors, you'll get sued for defamation and business losses. Xu is a supposed "hero" for proving that MMA enables him to be able to defeat opponents significantly smaller or older than he is...wow! So impressive!

The most tragic part of Xu’s story is that he isn’t doing what he’s doing to embarrass his country. He’s doing because he loves his country and is trying to push for change to make it stronger. Alas, that tends to be the story behind most of the greatest hero’s in just about any given country’s history. And , usually, they aren’t truly recognized for it until long after they are gone.
I certainly admire his spirit! I can't help but wonder, though, whether he's going to have to say "Ok, I've done enough, if the people can't see through this, they are fools", and get on with his life. I don't know what I would do if I were in his shoes. Maybe I would have stopped after the first fight; maybe after I've done a few. Maybe I'd stubbornly carry on, though, to rebel not just against the movement, but to push back against the oppressive "social credit" system they use as well ....
I'm surprised they don't just kill him TBH. They have control of the media over there. They can say he killed himself or, arguably "better" for them, some kung fu master killed him in an unrecorded fight, so he dies "proving" that traditional chinese martial arts were right all along. Disgusting. I dunno why Xi even allowed these matches. Does he seriously buy his own BS?
"No touch KO is the deadliest martial arts ever!" "Oh except if you have your tongue on the wrong position, or your finger is on a different position or if you don't believe in it or if you are slightly more to the left when I told you I'm going to knock you out". lmao Xu Xiaodong has all my respect, despite everything they are doing to him, he's standing for what is right. Not surprised at all by what China is doing, after all he's exposing a lie that is being used to control the population, it's the same when big dictators used religion with the same intention. So the moment someone shows it's all crap, which means people might start thinking for themselves, authorities freak out and do everything they can to cover it up. That draw is beyond ridiculous, everyone saw that the "Master" was humiliated the whole fight.
@@hopesagoodthing This has nothing to do with that. It's about control. If one guy can expose a whole fake Martial Art, what else can he expose next if the people start to understand what is a lie?
That Xu Xiaodong story made me really upset, and I've only known the guy minutes ago after finishing this video. He's a very brave guy who isn't afraid to speak his mind and go against propagated bullshit, but having the balls to do all that has its consequences in China and it's unfortunate that a whole country would harass and humiliate one single man like that. Watching the video of him crying was painful, the genuine cry of a man who's been abandoned by everyone around him. It's amazing how he still endures it all despite the injustice.
As someone who's been following Xu for years it's been genuinely heartbearking to watch it happen in real time. He makes constant, repeated statements about his love for China. He claims he has no high ideals he's also said many times the reason he fights so passionately is because he sees so many people caught up in the same delusions Eyepatch spends this video talking about. He fights because he genuinely loves a country that hates him and would rather return to a delusion. Ramsey Dewey has been coaching and fighting in China for well over a decade, since before anyone even knew what MMA was and he's spoken at length about how Chinese officials and promoters are so outlandishly crooked that the draw declaration is the norm and not the exception. He has a hole in his skull from being punched with cheated gloves and the one time he unambiguously won a fixed fight by choking out his opponent multiple times into overtime they simply refused to pay him. From what I gather the audience knows it's fake, because of course they do. Xu Xiaodong isn't nearly the only guy going through this and it's painfully obvious when the better fighter loses or has a forced draw. Which is a tragedy because there are many good fighters with inspiring stories in China. Zhang Zhaili was almost heavyweight champion of the world. Zhang Weili is a UFC champion. Plenty of other fighters are winning actual world titles or fighting abroad. I see Chinese fighters at my local events trying their hardest with absolutely no support from their community and I wind up cheering them on because nobody else will, even other Chinese in the audience. Because the community thinks "real fighting" is barbaric and even if they don't there's an expectation that these fights are just more trickery and it isn't real.
this stuff really seems dangerous to the students. all their "powers" never work unless the enemy believes in it, which means it's entirely useless when you would actually need it. if someone believed you were actually capable of defeating them so easily why would they even try to attack you at all?
The fact that Shu proves himself time and time again after each fight as reassurance is chillingly beautiful as it is sad when he is denied the victory from the Chinese. Every chance he gets to prove that the traditional forms are non-effective self defense techniques is like a reaffirmation that he himself is not the fool they paint him to be, and yet disillusioned people still deny him. Big respect to this guy for seeing through the bullshit and being actually someone with integrity!! An inspiration

I'm watching this very late (since I've just discovered your channel) and I haven't finished this video yet, but I wanted to comment how pleased I was to see you relate the reactions people had to no-touch masters to things like faith healing/being slain in the spirit. As a teen, I was briefly a member of a pentecostal-type church (which I hesitate to call a cult, primarily because it was part of a traditional denomination, but it was definitely... weird), and I have been on the receiving side of these kinds of things, and I know it seems from the outside that people are acting/larping, but I think more accurately, while someone may "act" at first (this is happening to others but not to me, I should just go along), ultimately your own brain starts playing tricks on you because you become convinced that this power *is* real and it *is* working on you, and therefore your body reacts as it "should" even though that's obvious, to an outside observer, that it's mere nonsense. From a certain perspective, the no-touch masters *are* knocking people out with psychic energy. It's just the social "psychic" energy that results in the members of these dojos buying into the fantasy so hard, that they react as though the "punches" are real.

This. Someone needs to get this guy and make a based-on-true-story movie of his career. If China doesn't want him, bring him to a country in the west. We need him to disprove sooth sayers over here, except we'll celebrate him for his success, not demonize him (I assume? America loves a good underdog, after all)
More than that. Blue and white are the colors of the actual, righteous government of China - the Chinese republic. Those fascist bastards made a real hero of him. I believe, this is one of those stories where the protagonist fought till the end despite everything and won. We just see those stories after they've ended, always. This one is still in progress.
For reals. Before the reveal of what the paint meant, I fully assumed that was his "brand". That whole story would/will make a phenomenal martial arts movie one day.

i haven’t been involved with martial arts for a long time (i just fell out of it, and when i was ready to go back, covid hit), but i admire the hell out of Xu. i really hope he’s seen as a hero in his own country soon enough; he deserves nothing less.
The world of fake martial arts is especially interesting to me since I was formerly a professional sumo wrestler. A lot of folks dont understand sumo, seeing it as "two fat guys in diapers butting heads", yet this is a martial art/sport where people have died, where bones crack and blood spills. I have no objection to the fact sumo has zero place in a street brawl save for a good palm thrust or a throw, but our discipline is one that requires strength and substance. Martial arts in this day and age are frankly irrelevant from a self defence viewpoint, save for like... grappling, people who advertise such ability with a fancy flick of the finger are snakes that damage the history and principles of being a martial artist. However, to train, either for health, or tradition, hell even for fun, is nothing to be ashamed of.
Honestly, calling it a draw was a mistake, because it makes them look desperate. You’d have to be an absolute clown to think it was anything other than a mauling.
You know it’s funny because it’s like when you watch ip man! He was just even though he beat the crap out of people if you’d like I’ll never really was anything that’s not really talk about it. The thing is in reality people wanna talk about it if you are doing better you should be put ahead at being the better of the better I hope you can understand that thanks for this good video
It’s tragically ironic how Bruce Lee, who himself challenged these “traditional Martial Arts” conventions was ostracized briefly but became a symbol of Chinese patriotism and crowned a founder of MMA... yet Xu tries to be real, and he’s been ostracized, humiliated, harassed, and slandered. Sigh... God Bless you Xu... I hope things get better for you.

@TheDragonSsJ The portrayal did kind of shit on bruce lee though. Lee actually said Muhammad Ai would kill him. The movie says the opposite. Tarantino for some reason thinks he was an arrogant person while the people who knew him like Kareem Abdul Jabar said he was a humble person with realistic views on stuff like could he beat Muhammad Ali in an actual fight. Tarantino is not better than the 'kung fu masters' referenced in the video. Telling lies to prop up a story and doesn't have the decency to say something as benign as 'it was artistic licence'. He doubled down and said the movie Lee is who the real Lee was.
kingmanic I think that was BS on Booth’s part since in the same movie we see Lee train Tate for the Wrecking Crew movie and having a good time doing it. It was short but it showed Lee as a cool guy rather than the arrogant dude from earlier. Which actually happened, amazingly enough. That was real whereas Booth throwing Lee into a car, probably breaking his back judging from the dent’s size, wasn’t. I think it was supposed to be both funny and foreshadow the movie’s very different from reality climax. I’m not saying it’s invalid for anyone to have a problem with the movie - honestly, that makes for interesting conversations - but I don’t think Tarantino really meant to bash Lee, seeing as he did so much research and had great respect for the icons of that era.
I just made a comment that ill post here.. 25:48 This man is representing his nation, but just because its not what is "traditional" for his nation, they nearly destroy the man. And i put "traditional" in quotes because to me living in USA, what i hold as tradition is all the good parts of my nation and heritage (which is separate in my case) while *not forgetting* but adapting the old or removing the old to help our people.
I frequently rewatch this video. I love how you talk about martial arts. There's clear passion and understanding there. I watch it because I was out of Judo for nearly 7-8 years, having done it for nearly as long, before returning one last time before the pandemic hit and I moved back to my hometown where the old club had closed down those 7-8 years ago. I'm the worst kind of perfectionist, but what I learned in Judo, which to be fair wasn't enough to make me a very good fighter by any stretch of the imagination, I had to learn by failing over and over again. It was the one thing I felt I could fail at numerous times and be motivated to keep doing just as much as anything else. The pandemic has forced me to have to wait on returning to that world once again for some time, and watching your videos on fighting reminds me of how it felt to not have to care about your performance, to know that if you just kept at something you could get more and more out of it regardless of whether you became great at it or not.
Having practiced the Korean fighting style, Tang Soo Do for 43 years, I have to say I love this video. The magical martial arts thing is and has been a problem for...well ever since the beginning I suppose. Thanks for putting this out here.
That part about Xu broke my freaking heart. The man has willingly made himself a martyr for his own integrity as a warrior. Ironically he is a high level of what kung fu movie protagonists are supposed to represent while being crucified for it by kung fu proponents and his own government.

My exact words were "how could this happen" as I lay on the street...
Aw fuck, I can’t believe you’ve done this!

While traditional Chinese Kung Fu is great and all, its practical application has long since been supplanted not only by MMA but by things like guns.

it'd really make a good film I bet, perhaps just do a documentary, no need to fake anything, that's kinda the whole point.
Funnily enough, the very premise of much of the recent Chinese martial art films (Ip Man 2 especially but also Master Z) is the story of the antagonist.
But first HE REALLY NEEDS MORE AND MORE SUPPORT FROM US.

I feel so bad for Xu. Amazing that he still keeps going, still winning each fight. I hope he and his family stay safe.

It's sad that theres just so much misinformation that it's not even funny how obvious the attempts at making China look bad are
You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

Lets hope china figures it out sooner than tragically later.
You accidentally wrote Xi instead of Xu, and gave it a whole new meaning
Disgusting.

Xu Xiaodong has all my respect, despite everything they are doing to him, he's standing for what is right.
Exactly I love that bs explanation "its so powerful it only works if you believe it will"
It's 100% because the Chinese govt despises anything remotely American, and it's like he's humiliating their whole country
@@hopesagoodthing This has nothing to do with that. It's about control. If one guy can expose a whole fake Martial Art, what else can he expose next if the people start to understand what is a lie?
the story of Xu is so extremely fascinating.. i hope so badly that it doesn't end tragically for him
That Xu Xiaodong story made me really upset, and I've only known the guy minutes ago after finishing this video.
Yo I never knew he broke down on camera.. he always seemed like the vegeta off the mma world.. crazy
I kind of hope someone like John Oliver can help the guy migrate or visit the US and get protection, no man should live like that.

"I take no pleasure in this footage"...
Me: huge smile plastered on my face.
I came here to laugh at funny fake martial arts
I ended up learning about serial killers, cults, and molestation
And the sad story of a man fighting alone for what he believes.
Fr 😭
The pathetic sides of humanity that I wish to look away from, and a small light struggling to shine brighter
Having practiced the Korean fighting style, Tang Soo Do for 43 years, I have to say I love this video. The magical martial arts thing is and has been a problem for...well ever since the beginning I suppose. Thanks for putting this out here.
Did you expect a funny video with that thumbnail?
That part about Xu broke my freaking heart. The man has willingly made himself a martyr for his own integrity as a warrior. Ironically he is a high level of what kung fu movie protagonists are supposed to represent while being crucified for it by kung fu proponents and his own government.
Yeah...i see it everyday
The Chinese government is only interested in making the populist weaker by promoting fake martial arts and dissing on actual combat effective martial arts.
@@Helltown66 yes, they dont approve the growing of combat club, like the Ming dynasty and others, both combat and clubs breed rebillion, china also repress kungfu greatly right before as a new nation and religions now
Xu! What a smart guy! What a legend! It's clear to us that his opponents are deluded but they just can't see it. What great fools they are.
I know me too. Poor Xu. I wish him & his family would come to the US or Canada for a better life of equality. He could be a more effective spokesperson in the west anyways as we have free speech. But alas I understand most of us love our home country & he probably doesn't want to leave China. Perhaps if Xu chose to leave someone in Russia could come pick him & his family up in a car & bring him back to Russia to get on a plane since the Chinese government barred him from flying. Man I hate the Chinese government what a bunch of a-holes.
Xu Xiaodong is a hero, guilty of simply trying to do the right thing.
I've seen all the footage on Hydrick and read what happened and it is very disturbing. He destroyed some people's lives. Some kids in Utah ended up in mental hospitals because of him. He was a dangerous, twisted guy.
Xu is an honorable hero. Through all of that intimidation, mockery, and getting cheated, he has stuck to his heart to be true to himself and REAL martial arts. I think he should move somewhere that he can live and run his gym in peace.
Took the words out of my mouth. First thing I said after watching this was "you need to move to America brother"
Sadly he's not even allowed on an airplane anymore,no chance they'd let him immigrate
Casualtrash that’s fucking sad as hell I wish China would stop being a disgustingly authoritarian and evil place so he can be with his family and be thought of as the great man he is. I know that will never happen but that’s even better than wishing he would be able to move to America.
G0LIATH I agree, and it’s coming soon
Xu Xiadong egy igazi hős akit a Kínaiak nem szeretik de akire szükségük van.
Xu's story is incredibly sad. I can't imagine being ostracized by a ton of people like that, not even to mention by the government. I hope he has some support where he's at. It's incredibly terrifying that propaganda can be used so effectively to tarnish fact. The Chinese government is just absolutely awful. It's horrifying that one of the biggest and most influential governments in the world is like this.
Edit: spelt his name wrong
Alex Smith 24:47 as someone once said "if you dont like the USA as a superpower leading the world you for sure WILL hate the 2030's"
Funny how I was watching a video about him and this video from SEW came up. It feels amazing transitioning into his video.
sad how shallow they will go to keep up their image
The worst Americans get is being demonized by Twitter and other social media mobs and news outlets
But it's nothing compared to what Shu has been through
Yeah the Chinese government is fucked. For instance if you want the real official numbers of the virus you have to multiply by ten.
Xu is a legit a modern day superhero. He is literally fighting for the freedom of his people.
