I've fond memories eating free Pizza Hut personal pan pizzas, rewarded from BOOK IT! program, and playing Super Mario Bros tabletop arcade. Life was good back then!

It’s all in your head buddy. I worked at an old school Pizza Hut up until a year ago. We can’t get the old stuff. To use the Pizza Hut name you have to buy their corporate ingredients. It’s nostalgia glasses making it taste better.
I went to one of these Pizza Huts in 1988 and they had a promo deal where, if you buy two large pizzas, they give you Marty McFly's weird futuristic sunglasses from BTTF 2. I cajoled my parents into getting the deal and sported those shades for the whole next year. That may have been the high point of my life, right there, sadly enough.

I had a few b day parties there in grade school for friends. Broken Wings on the Jukebox, Pac man arcade game, and greasy pan pizza.
I found out this very Pizza Hut in Fairfield just got remodeled as a “Pizza Hut Classic” complete with the old signs, old style light fixtures, and red tablecloths.
I remember they had a thing back in the 90’s, if you read a book you would get a free personal pan pizza coupon. That is the only time my parents would take me to Pizza Hut. I remember they had a castlevania arcade game at the Crystal Lake IL Pizza Hut that I went to.
I honestly don't even remember what Pizza Hut tasted like in the 80s and 90s when I was a kid. I need to find one of these OG ones so I can compare the taste to your standard modern Pizza Hut delivery.

We had an original Pizza Hut right next to a Hollywood Video in my town. it got demolished and there is a CVS on it now. The Hollywood Video is now a 5 Guys..
We have one in Virginia Beach. I still remember getting pizzas and going home with my buddies and watching shit on Toonami like Dragonball Z, when the movies were first starting to come out here in the States. That Pizza Hut is still here, and it is still great.
That pizza hut is still standing in the last day of October 31,2018.
it's the same at all pizza huts . They don't differ between restaurants. None of them make the sauce or dough. The sauce comes in bags and they add water to it from the tap. That could in theory make it taste better if the water is A+. The dough comes in frozen and they thaw and proof it. Did a few years at pizza hut .
We had one out in Hobart Indiana but they tore it down and made it at Dunkin Donuts... it was the best sad that it's gone
I miss stuff like that. Most of these chains have screwed things up completely in the current time and I suspect it's mostly hiding cost cutting practices while trying to simultaneously jack up the price so it makes no sense to eat there. Old school stuff like this was such an awesome part of my childhood. I miss it. And yeah those plastic cups with pepsi and the perfect amount of ice! OH MAN! :)
There is an original Pizza Hut in Richland Washington still.
From what I understand most of those old school Pizza Huts dont offer delivery and their shutting down cause other Pizza Huts offer delivery and nowadays people order out much more often than eat in.

The Game Chasers Billy, you are a built dude who hits the gym multiple times a week. Carbs are necessary for muscular development, and size. You don't need to go on a keto diet you just need to go on a cut. Keto is great for obese people. You're not obese my dude.
Brian Biekert I never lost strength doing keto. I benched the same after 3 months of it. I FEEL better not eating carbs. When I do eat carbs these days it's only the occasional sweet potato or oatmeal. I'm more concerned about how I feel and less about gaining a few more pounds of muscle right now. But yes, for MAXIMUM muscle building potential you need carbs, but it's not necessary for just being fit and strong.
The Game Chasers different strokes and all that. Have you tried just cutting out wheat? Maybe you have an intolerance to gluten.

When you go into a Pizza Hut, ask them if they still use the dough mixer. That will tell you if they are still using the old school fresh made daily crust. If they say no, they are using the frozen pre made dough, which just ain't the same. I spent 7+ yrs working for that company. Glad to be gone.
Those old school Pizza Hut joints are the best. We've got one in the next county and it's great. Even the take out places around here aren't that bad for Pizza Hut, but seeing one of those old school locations it's always worth a stop! Great vid dude!

I remember going to the dine in pizza hut locations. The last time I recall eating at one was back in 1993, when they had this X-Men kids meal special.
It’s amazing how Pizza Hut is still around I now prefer Barros pizza you can get 2 slices for lunch for less than 10 bucks

Same as some others said... our only Pizza Hut for 20miles in any direction was in Worcester MA up until a few years ago when it closed. It was an old style sitdown salad bar one. Their recipie definitely changed. It was my favorite growing up in the 80s and through the early 00's but since then it went from being the best to one of the worst. I'd like to know why they changed and if they'll ever go back. Also if anyone remembers the stuffed crust tripledeckeroni they had it in the mid 90s that was amazing.

I don't get I'm in San Antonio all our pizza huts look like that there is one on a road called Fredericksburg road near 410 that even has the original neon sign from like the 60s look it up on yelp I think it all tastes the same unless I haven't been to a newer one

I really liked the retro intro. That was a cool effect. But Pizza Hut really isn't what it used to be. Back in the 90s Pizza Hut was so great but now they just serve low quality food and it's just not as good. So I totally understand what you meant by Pizza Hut food from your childhood. It was one of my favorite places to eat growing up.

Reminds me of baseball growing up too man. Tons of memories going to Mazzio's after games. They had TMNT, X-Men, Sunset Riders, Area 51, Killer Instinct, etc. etc. Now it's torn down & made into a healthcare clinic. Sad shit really.

I have an old school Pizza Hut here in Hudson, but I think it probably was one of the few built just before they started to "modernize" them. So, the arcade machines and jukeboxes were taken out and I think they had their kitchen updated. Still have the buffet, but the pizza tastes like a modern Pizza Hut recipe pizza. Boo... 😔 Domino's here is actually better.

Pizza hut gives me zero nostalgia, they are.. or were everywhere in Houston. Pizza Inn, now that is retro. Played my first tabletop arcade there, either pacman or donkey kong), vaguely recall the taste. Although I will say that this particular slice looks different (undercooked? not fried?) than the crispy labo lookin mess they typically give you.

It certainly sucks ass now, but back then it was epic! All the Pizza Huts I used to know barely see any traffic these days. There are a ton of them that have been either torn down or are on their last legs. Sad :/
