I'm Georgie Dion, the Founder of "Georgie Dion Events and Laavish Flower Academy."
I Started out as a 15 Year Old Junior Florist at one of the most exclusive Flower Shops in Adelaide, South Australia.
After my 7 year internship, I branched out and opened my very own flower studio called 'Laavish Flower Studio' in the leafy Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide.

Very quickly I made a name for myself as one of the most Contemporary, Avant-garde and Creative Florists in Australia, servicing all the 5 star hotels in the City

This led to even more corporate work for Laavish Flower Studio, so my team and I were in constant demand for even more corporate work, including major Festivals and Events for both the private and public sector.

I realised that with my 26 years of experience in the Florist Industry, I had alot of knowledge to pass on to those who were interested in the creative process of
'Floral Design'.
So, It all began in 2008 when I started My first Flower School.
I taught the Art of Floristry, the Principles and elements of Design and formally introduced cutting edge European techniques and design that I had learnt during all my years of experience !
Many of our students either continued on with their flower journey as a florist and some even opened up their very own flower shop too!
For many years, we had a HUGE interest from students and clients, wanting to do more of our courses and asking if we were ONLINE.

This idea got me thinking.......💞
I realised that I had a PASSION for Teaching, but in order to build an Online Flower Academy, I had to take a break from Laavish Flower Studio!
We just had so much work!!!!
There was no other way to make this happen.

So, I was literally at a crossroads 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ for the very first time in 'MY LIFE'!!! 🙏🏻🤦🏼‍♀️
With the help and support of my amazing Husband, Matej, who recognised my creative passion and love for Floristry, we decided to set off on this adventure and make this DREAM HAPPEN !!!!!

So, it all began in 2019, when we made the life changing decision to move our little family from Australia to Europe.
We are now based in Ljubljana, Slovenia,
a beautiful city in the centre of Europe, which also happens to be my Husband’s homeland 🇸🇮💙
This exciting move has given us the opportunity to rest, reflect and get even more creative with our Work!!! 💞
Both Matej and I hope to offer our Floristry Students from anywhere around the Globe, the opportunity to Learn the 'Art of Floristry' Online.
We already have our latest step by step tutorials online... but what we have planned and prepared for our future students is something even more special!!!

We will be releasing our first Online - One on One tutoring very soon!!!
'The 38 Week Ready Industry Course' will be realesed in the third week of January 2021💞 which will lead our Students to the right start for their careers!!!
.
In the meantime, We plan to continue doing very special Events, corporate, Hotel Installations and over-the-top FANTASTICAL Weddings, just for the love and romance of it all!!!
We are available anywhere in EUROPE and around the Globe upon request !!
