    I love Agatha Christie, probably my favorite classic detective is Poirot. My favorite amateur detective is G.K. Chesterton’s Father Brown, but Miss Marple is a close second.

      I do really like Poirot too, but right now I'm focusing on Miss Marple. I think I probably would enjoy Father Brown too. Thanks for commenting.

    I recently read Elena Knows so definitely want to read more of her work! I am a huge fan of Louise Erdrich so I have read Almighty Red. Not my favorite but a good read nonetheless!

    • @BookChatWithPat8668
      @BookChatWithPat8668  17 днів тому

      I'm hearing that Mighty Red is not up with there with her best, but we'll see. I also really love her work. Our Pineiro Project group is now moving into reading her books chronologically, so Elena Knows is next. For most in the group, it will be a re-read, but it's a first read for me. I've heard all good things about it. The one we are wrapping up now--Thursday Night Widows-- is my least favorite of all that we've read so far.

      @@guardnation hi! Classics and Company was the group. I haven’t heard anything from them lately. I’m not sure if it’s still going on, but that was the group where I first learned about the group read of Les Mis. We had a smaller group on voxer that discussed the novel throughout April and May, I think. Classics and Company does have a BookTube page.

    Ambitious is an understatement. Impressive plans. My only commitments for 2025 are the 3 book clubs I'm taking part in. I do plan to read some history books, but they may or may not fit in the Historathon requirements. I do plan to read some philosophy books, but I am not sure they will fit in the requirements of the Philosophy readathon that Justin @triumphalreads is starting.
