The backstory of this song was it was written for his father that passed away. Many years ago, my mother had some vinyls and Bread was one of them. I was in love with this song! That's why I researched the meaning. 😁
I have seen this version a million times but haven't been back for a little while now. I randomly started singing it today so here I am.
My Mom passed away September 13 and I think of her all the time. Been going through a lot for some time now and I feel she brought me back here to remember this song and how I found it. Thank you for this version! It's honestly my favorite one!
