QV IPC from eBay used
Make sure the replacement has less miles than your current car. Or buy new
My shifting in M is raised to 6500 to take advantage of the QV IPC this was mostly a cosmetic mod for me. Squadra tuned 2.0 top speed set 167 mph according to them.
You cracked me up at "I just took it around the block" as the speedometer showed 81 mph

Hi, I have a quick question... what happens if you don't do the proxy alignment and try to start and drive the car? Will the new dashboard still work for testing purposes? thanks

One last question. The RPM redline is higher on the Quad gauge. I assume the 2.0 can't or shouldn't rev that high. Does the rev limiter work the same or is it adjusted with the gauge? Also if so wouldn't this be concern as far as protecting the engine?
@@danielantoniuk7261 it doesn’t change the limiter a tune would. All the major tunes squadra, EC, Celtic raise the rmps to 6500. This can’t change that

It’s completely possible if you have a 2020 and up it’s a swap and software. 2017-19 will need a 2020-22 head unit and climate control/ 2020-22 touch display.
Thank you for sharing your passion and knowledge for Alfa Romeo. I have a 2017 Stelvio, and the dashboard / cluster little screen suddenly doesn't work anymore. Sometimes it flashes. The speedometer and engine rpm lights work perfectly. What can I do? The dealer told me they can't update the system and fix the problem if the screen doesn't work again first. Thanks for your help.
I have run into this. What I did was sat in my drive way and turned the car on and off about 40 times and it turned back on. In the worse case it doesn’t turn back on you can get a used one with lower miles than what you have and ask the dealer to program it. Installing is easy. Can it be useful to replace the battery? The car runs perfectly and starts without problems.
@@verlatofrancesco I am almost 99% sure it doesn’t have to do with the battery. It’s the software in the IPC module that is glitching. That’s why it’s normally solved with a software update because the new software will write over the glitched old one. If you had multiecuscan I would suggest doing a proxy alignment to rewrite over the glitched software. Again this is assuming the cluster didn’t just go bad, but i doubt that as well because everything works, but the screen.

Did you pull the small panel which is below the RPM and speedometer from one side, and than the other side? Is it easy to crack? Thanks.
It’s not easy to break I pulled from the cluster it takes some force not super easy, but you know UA-cam always looks easier
So I have a question. First you install. Then in Multiscanecu you just do a proxi alignment. Also not sure about the mileage I saw a comment "can only increase odometer setting" Well no problem except what if you buy a gauge cluster with higher mileage than what is on the a actual car? Also besides the 200 mph gauge is there any other benefit of the quad gauge cluster. What makes it better other than the 200mph. Thinking of upgrading myself but not sure it is worth it
@@danielantoniuk7261 it’s just looks nicer and if you get a newer one then you get one with updated firmware and animation. Yeah you have to make sure you get one with lower mileage so you can you your correct mileage if you get one to high you won’t be able to fix it.
The QV cluster shows a higher rev limit..redline starting higher at 6.5k rpm instead of 5.5k rpm for the 2Ltr cluster.
Thank you so for this video! My 2017 Giulia IPC is blank and will not show any miles. I can’t see any mileage right now. My dealer cannot fix it with update so they are charging me over 2000 for IPC replacement and service guy saying replacement are all refurbished unit! So I want to do exactly what you did and replace it myself. My question is does the car save the mileage information already? You connect the new IPC into your car then you flash it with multiecuscan with OBD port right? Just want to get the steps right that was not shown in the video. Thank you ❤
Wow that’s crazy 2000. So long as the miles are lower on the used part you can program your correct miles. So if your at 30k your replacement has to be less than 30k miles. You just plug it it, then proxy alignment in multiecuscan and program correct miles in a separate screen under IPC. Both are needed proxy and miles programming super easy. Did you run into any issues with FCW or ParkSense? I did the install, but I think the IPC module software is old and causing issues. Module software updates seem near impossible.
I did not unfortunately and there is no way to update using multiecuscan only witech can do that. I have not seen that problem what codes is it throwing?
@@alfamods2.0T It throw codes for ICP communication and HALF/DASM communication. I switched back to my old gauge cluster and it fixed the issues… so def need a newer cluster or a module update

Yeah because you can not program the miles back only forward. It does this so people don’t push the odometer reading backwards
Is the giulia qv instrument cluster works on the STELVIO ? Or do I need to buy the stelvio qv instead?

So to update software in cluster doesn’t make sense, I think I will change
Yeah just find one from a newer car and program it it will have newer software built in and you won’t need to get it updated from the dealership just program the correct miles.
Since the install, is your Giulia governed as far as mph, have you attempted to go 200mph?
My Giulia is tuned so my car can go above the 155mph factory limit. I believe it caps out at around 167mph
