Everywhere one looks are statements for the benefits of multi zone VRF systems for hotels. What no one ever mentions is how you can lose (10) rooms at once when an outdoor unit fails. Also the unreliability of PCBs in outdoor situations especially coastal locations and how long it takes to receive a replacement unit. Lost revenue and rebates for no AC in guest rooms can be huge. Also, what about code required fresh air intake and IAQ? I have seen many of systems installed and the IAQ not addressed.
