Hi Chris-I have a “Corporation” Stradivarius 37, SN 64700. I believe it was made sometime between 1971 and 1973. When I got it, it had a ring on the first valve slide, which I don’t believe Bach ever used (would have been a saddle). My tuning slide is “reverse” (if you will, male/female). What is your opinion regarding whether or not it would have had a saddle?

Sounds like someone changed the saddle for a ring along the way, assuming you bought it second hand.
