The MX selects would be good but I hate their awkward angled design. It's as if every dumbbell company comes up with a perfect design and then says "hey, what can we do to make this shitty?"

I got the Snode 80s and they are great. Mine came with 8 1.25lb magnet weights. Now the design of these weights is interesting and honestly pretty genius. You can slap them on the ends or on the inside next to the handles. This allows you to add them before taking them out of the cradle. With them , I can say the only downside is getting a rack. The cradle is larger so finding a cheaper rack is impossible without modification. Or you can spend the $260 for the snode rack.

Also would you mind showing if there is space for microplates on the handles. I been wanting to buy them but not sure if they will be conftable. Thanks!
Why not just use 2.5lb wrist weights, they’re inexpensive and don’t interrupt the flat ends. That said, I agree having a 5lb quick change option in the AD80 is a better design
Just got the Pépin fast series took a while to ship but they are by far the best adjustable dumbbells I’ve used especially since I got the 120s …recently maxed out my 1090s bowflex and plus the plastic on those was wearing out
These are easily the best adjustable dumbbells I've seen. Let's face it, all adjustable dumbbells are damn expensive, so durability is a high priority.
Nuobell is the new Bowflex. Built for marketing, not to last. Snode still uses plastic gears, but at least they are easily serviceable, where as when a Nuobell inevitably breaks the only fix is a new handle.
Another solid review, Coop! Want to add: We do say you can drop ours, and they're covered by a Lifetime Warranty; so I wouldn't say they're the "only ones". Cool that you can drop these too, for a year.
Yup, I have Ironmasters exactly for this reasons. Sturdy dumbells for really heavy lifting without scare for breaking them. But I think the Snode would be a perfect add on, if you want to switch the weights faster. Greetings from Germany
A cool feature they should have added is the ability for the highest setting to actually fix the cast cradle to the dumbbell for added weight since it’s kind of just extra weight left behind if you need something heavier
Don't even waste your time with this, if you are concerned over the durability of the Nuobells or want more weight, just get the Peppin Fast dumbbells.
Have the AD50s. Friggen unreal how good they feel and function. Just a joy to use. The increments are odd but I have Olympic adjustables and some hex that fill out anything they miss. The cast iron cradle is a huge sell.
I have these and there absolutely bomb proof. When doing 50lbs or more on bench I have to drop the weight so Nou bell was not an option. The cast iron trays also a huge plus. Nou Bell were the gold standard of quich changing Adjustable DBs but not anymore. Snode are the best quick adjustable DBs
Resident material science dork here. Super curious about the kind of cast iron they are using. That dovetail looks like a mega failure point. Most cast iron is notoriously brittle. Think about how often you see a cast iron plate with a small chip out of it. Even the small ones will crack around the sleeve in a few months of wear and tear.
The website now sells them with magnetic weights that allow for 2.5 and 5lb increments. They’re cheaper than the plate mates equivalent. I think it’s awesome and I just bought a pair. Took the leap. Wish me luck!
I own a pair of the Snode AD80s. Everything that you say in the video, I agree with. Except, my biggest caveat (a caveat is usually small, mine is huge) is that at some point in the workout the dumbell is going to hang up with other plates (not if but when). No matter how hard I try to make sure I'm putting the handle with plates back in the cradle straight up and down, at some point the dumbell is going to catch other plates as you get ready to do another set. This caveat is huge. When you are doing sets and it takes you sometimes 20 minutes or more to get a plate knocked off without breaking the plate is frustrating. I have seen reviews on the Nuobells about this same problem. I am 57 yrs. old and have been working out religiously since my early 20's. I am not a rookie. I have a pair of Powerblocks that go up to 90. Yes they are awkward and the handle is caged in, but I will take the Powerblocks over the Snode any day. I love the traditional feel of Snode, but the problem with the plates hanging up, especially when you go heavier, is so infuriating I am at a loss for words. I have quit using the Snode and am using the Powerblocks exclusively. You cannot be off even an inth when you put the dumbell back in place or you will have problems. I'm sure I'm the only one having this problem (sarcasm). I would be wary of buying Snode if you are a firstime buyer of AD's. I would spend my money on the Powerblocks (they are made in the USA). One other problem with Snode is they don't have a Customer Service phone# on their web. They want to talk in chat (boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo). I want a human voice to talk to about problems not typing text. Another caveat. I lied. The price is right for the Snode. I bought them before Christmas on sale for $795. Great Deal. Nothing is more frustrating than trying to do a drop set and when you put the handle and plates back in the cradle and pull out extra plates are coming out attached and you have to stop and try to detach without breaking. I hope this info is helpful to all concerned.
I have the AD80s and have no problem at all reracking the dumbbells. I can't see how it would be so difficult for you, as I never have trouble with it. 20 minutes has to be exaggerated. I like to angle my dumbbell with the numbers at the top and craddle them with the opposite side down first. It helps me rest the dumbbell and lower it in one motion. You just need to be more precise when cradling these dumbbells than with traditional ones. Maybe you have the dumbbells in an awkward place that's not the right height. I posted a review above with links to a stand and other accessories I find make the AD80s even better. Maybe a proper stand could help. There are a few of use who use the dumbbells and all love them with the PlateMates. Hopefully you can figure out your issue and use them as intended.
Great review! I think Pepin FAST series 120lbs would be far superior to AD80, more expensive more premium, more weight settings with the compatible mirco plates, more heavy, rack mountable, personally i find it more satisfying as well, well worth the $$$$ for myself. Can't wait to see your review on the FAST series!
@@JBS7551 That lifetime warranty as stated on their website: "Normal wear and tear are not covered by the warranty. Any damage caused by misuse, abuse are not covered". I wouldn't count on their lifetime warranty. The extra weight is nice, but again, probably not worth an extra $1000 for most people.

I bought mine AD80 a few months ago in Canada, and I got the ones with plastic tubing rather than the metal/aluminum ones. I wrote to Snode and they told me the won't do anything because I bought them in Canada even though Snode in the US was selling the all metal tubing at the time I bought mine. How unfair is that, imo! Sucks that Snode won't do quality control in for the sell of their products in Canada!
Okay.. people commenting about Nuobell using "plastic"... Literally noone anywhere who has original Nuobells, has ever had any problems. One video went around, but it showed to be a fake nuobell and that was that. Powerblock is known for their longitvity and they use plastic pins for adjustments, plastic handle & handle-crate.. Plastic is not just plastic, the plastic used for fitness products is the not same plastic as your mouse or kichtens bowls. I would argue Snode being worse... you might eventually crack some of that cast-iron off if you put it down too rough and because it's not that sort of plastic, but straight cast-iron vs cast-iron, there's a change of it breaking small pieces off, especially over time & eventually it doesn't fit well in the slots of each plate. Will this happen, most likely not, but it's definitely a possibiltiy, even more so with this, than Nuobell. Also.. the increments are absolutely horrible... Also.. the excuse about them not being able to adjust 5 pounds increments... yes you can xD with the same system nuobells have, with 2 smaller inner plates that grabs on/off as it goes up. So stupid. and again... the fact that the cratel is cast iron is both unnecessary & can potentially make it harder to place the dumbbells in them when you are tired & beat, as there is no give and you have to be more precise. I think they look good, but people need to think about all factors and what makes things "better".
Nuobells most definitely break. And the primary failure has nothing to do with being dropped. The primary weakness of the current Nuobell is its adjustment mechanism. The twisting action of the grip uses a barrel cam design to convert rotational motion (the twist) into linear motion (telescoping rods). It's that action combined with Nuobell's unfortunate material choice for its cam followers that result in the cam followers eventually shearing off. All eight of them. It is currently a non-repairable failure and a $189 handle replacement cost. Anyone that hasn't experienced this yet is simply fortunate. I'm not familiar with the alleged fake handle video. I have several authentic Nuobell handles, and I've torn them down to analyze why they fail.
I am always looking at the new styles of adjustable 90lbs and below reviews, but keep coming back to being very satisfied with my powerblock elites purchase in 2019. The pepin fast series from 95-120 is what has me intrigued once it is fully fleshed out.
You can get 5 pound increments by just removing a plate on one side. I did this to get 1 kg increments on my old Nüo Flexbells which had 4 kg increments. Not ideal, since it'll be a bit unbalanced, but still a free workaround if you don't have the magnet plates.
@@panuwatbuthorntaraj2909 He says in the video that the adjustment dial is on one side only and you adjust both sides with the one dial. (About 8 minutes into the video.)
Hey Coop, when you do these adjustable dumbbell videos can you start putting them on a scale to see how accurate they are? Maybe do a video comparing the accuracy of adjustable dumbbells in comparison to each other.
I wonder if Nuobell did testing and noticed that the cast iron notches broke over time, because metal on metal was too brittle? I dont know. Be interesting to see how long it lasts.
My Nuobell plastic connectors break at least twice a week. I’ve had to by a new cradle and extra plates on eBay to replace the connectors. I finally purchased the Snode. Wish I bought this long ago. Would’ve saved hundreds.
Hey Coop… if you’re ‘calling something out’ it’s negatively critical If you’re ‘shouting something out’ it’s positively critical. FYI . Love your reviews just thought I’d call you out on this 😂
These look fine. 10 lbs isn't that bad: I'm used to the 4kg increment-jumps my fake European Fäkobells got. Would love to get my hands on these when and if they get released in Yurp
If you got those style of dumbbells you’re almost crazy not to spend a few extra dollars on those plate mates. Get yourself self four of those then it’s almost as if you have 27 sets of dumbbells instead of 9. I did that a long time ago and I love those little plates, worth every penny.
Another awesome review and it looks like Snode already solved the 5lb increment question, when you follow your link it has an offer for 2 sets of 5lb magnetic plates.
I can confirm Nuobells are JUNK. Like many out there, my handles became misaligned. They accused me to "misusing" them. I've always assumed to treat them gently and I even have spotter stands just for these. When they work, they are delightful. Just don't expect them to work forever.😡 I should add they want to charge $185 per handle to fix the misalignment. Good stuff... 🙄
If they made a separate handle that weighs 5 or (preferably) 15 lb instead of 10 lb, you could sub that in and have your alternating 10 lb increment jumps. Still not ideal, but maybe a doable workaround.
"I'd love to compare these directly to Nuobell" I think you mentioned Nuobell for every single feature you brought up in this review, you'd love to compare them? You already did! 😂 Great video, very informative.
A lot of Nuobell failures has been the plastic parts inside that can't be replaced. We need a full tear down before jumping on this band wagon. Till then I'm sticking with the PB.
Just bought Nobells for Christmas. Had I known about Snode I might have gotten them. I’d be fine with the Platemates. One thing I noticed in the Nuobellls is the fact that there’s some slop in the dumbbell when you’re doing reps. Does Snode have slop? It sounded like maybe they do. Also would love to see a 3-way comparison of Snode/Nuobell/Peppin Fast.
I’ve tried almost every single adjustable dumbbell on the market. My current set up is a light powerblock with Ironmasters for the heavier sets. I tried Nuobells and loved it but it broke at the plastic connectors and one of the handles couldn’t turn, the cradle also broke cause its plastic. I never tried the Snodes but these look great. I’m waiting for the Pépin Fast Dumbbells and I may just try one of these out and part ways with my current set up. But currently, the 5-50lb powerblocks and ironmaster set is my perfect combo of adjustable dumbbells. I like that I don’t have the carefully place the heavy dumbbells say 60 or 70lb in a nested stack after a tiresome set. For Ironmasters I can just place them on the stand although it is tiny lol. Great review Coop as always!
@@rayjbb1494 I’m not 100% sure I’ll be getting the Pépin Fast Dumbbells but we have a local equipment store that will carry them in the summer and I want to test them out. I like the powerblocks cause they start off at a very light weight like 5lbs and can go up to 50lbs in increments of 2.5lbs. These are especially useful for exercises like side laterals and just other movements i can really use light weights to isolate. I’m trying to lift lighter too nowadays vs. heavier honestly but stricter form and more reps. I love the ironmasters but even to go from 60lbs which I keep them at to 70lbs is cumbersome lol. I’m keeping my out for a set of used powerblocks that go up to 90lbs and might snag that if i can. The pepin fast looks great but i feel the powerblocks still are one of the best overall in quickness, durability, and simplicity….the all metal ones.
I was thinking about getting it. But after seeing that it only adjust 10 pound increments instead of 5, is a very big deal breaker. I will stick with my Nuobell. But great job to Snode for making it all metal. Hopefully Nuo will do the same in the future.
Just get a five pound magnet or something like that. Pop it on when you need the five pound increment, pop it off when you don't. Also I just saw someone else comment that you could remove a plate on only one side to have that five pound increment. It's slightly unbalanced, but it works if you don't have magnets.
@@B.L.S. Fiddling around with $800+ adjustable dumbbells, potentially dangerously so by removing plates and imbalancing your workout, defeats the purpose and instant adjustability of the product. I stand by my NuoBells after two years of use. Glad to see more competition on the market but the 10lb. weight increments are silly when you're paying more than the Nuos.
@@B.L.S. I never thought about using magnets. That's genius! There's also companies that create add on weights that allows you attach it to the handle. One is called Micro Gainz. But they're kinda expensive.
I'm a big fan of Nuobell, but I can see the benefits of using a more iron based design. I've had the Nuo's for over a year with no problems at all to speak of. That said, since they only go up to 80 pounds, I don't see where I would ever need to drop them, so that's not really a concern. I do like the stand options for the Nobel's better, but If I were in the market, I would be looking at both. I think either would work well.
I have the old style iron masters where you dont have to take the plates off, you just very slighty losen the screw and slot a plate in or take a plate out. They are the perfect dumbbell!
These look great but unfortunately I think the 10lb increment is a deal breaker for me. If I'm spending close to 1k on adjustable dumbells I don't want to also have to invest in, store, and fiddle with magnets.
If, as is said in these comments, they make 1.25 lb. magnets, a bunch of those would be better than a few built in 5 lb. jumps. I have a set of old 1.5 lb. plates from the 70s for my spin locks. I use them all the time. Hit the target rep range, go up 3 lbs. Hit it again, switch out the 1.5s for 2.5s. Small jumps are excellent. Keep things moving in the target rep range.
Really great review Coop. The plastic internals and the fact these don’t go in 5lb increments are a dealbreaker for me. Snode had me up until the plastic internals. I want a full metal construction that will last me for as long as I own my home gym. Durability is king, and yet these only have a 1 year warranty. Sticking with my Ironmasters until I can find something worth pulling the trigger on (Pepin’s fast series would be nice, but I don’t like that they start at 20lbs)
Cost is not the only reason they use nylon gears. Having metal ones would require lots of lubrication to keep noise down and that would get on the plates and eventually on your hands. Since there’s no stress on the mechanism, using nylon make sense.
Being able to have drop-proof dumbbells compared to basically everyone else is a huge game changer. Having the PlateMate option erases the only real downside.
I just saw that Maxim Fitness out of Canada came out with 2.5 magnetic plates specifically designed for the Snode adjustable dumbells. They look great and available mid February as per the website
i have the Snode AD80 its the best i wanted something that can be strong like power blocks but act as nuobells to me snode ad80 is it its the best right now and i use plate mates for the 5 lb it works great just go get it and i think now they give you the 5 lb magnet for free now lets see the nuobells vs snode ad80
I feel like as long as you don’t mind the 10 lbs jumps (just get magnet weights to add on the sides) it’s no contest. Full metal construction, metal cradles, similar price to competitors, and comes with a warranty for dropping them. Blows the nuobells out of the water.
Finally! Coop has reviewed the absolute best adjustable dumbbells on the entire market. No other adjustable can compete with these, and now they have magnetic weights to account for the 5lb increments. The only one flaw these have are that they only go up to 85 lbs. Other than that, these are a must have.
@@MeepMeep88 Yeah I was going to mention that the Iron Masters are arguably the best as well. The changing time is literally the only flaw that may turn some people off. Other than that, they are also amazing.

10lb jump isn't a dealbreaker at all, especially since they'll send you their version of platemates for free (right now). They're droppable and have a warranty that covers dropping? Sign me up.
This is on my list as a maybe, they are including magnets of their own now, 4 - 1.25lb magnets per dumbbell. I'm just wondering if 80lbs is going to continue to be heavy enough.
From an engineering perspective, there may be an advantage to plastic notches over cast iron. Those notches might be one of the less robust parts of the dumbbell. A notch failure on cast iron results in brittle fracture, whereas the plastic is ductile and might actually be able to handle more punishment. Making new dies for the plates to include an iron notch would be expensive at the outset. Maybe Nuobells' had access to already-made dies with the notch already cut out, maybe they made new dies themselves. So the cost argument can go either way. Then again I'm just a fat dude with an opinion on the internet.
Depends on the plastic and characteristics of the polymerization (increased cross-linking and chain length leading to brittleness) but I agree with your overall point. You can have ductile metal alloys as well but that would probably increase the costs unnecessarily
I’m a mechanical engineer and have to say engineered plastics have their place in mechanical systems. I have t seen what snode uses them for or what type of plastic is used but even in heavy industrial applications, engineered plastics can be found in bearings, etc.
Recovering post heart transplant, and bought the Nuobell 50's.. so far think they are great. Really need the 5lb increments and like the knurling and feel. Anyone have failure's with the Nuobell plastic pieces? Hope its more a concern than the norm and also hope Nuobell would cover under warrantee. @Coop thanks for all the great reviews. My home gym is awesome and I even outfitted my Vanlife Gym so I can work out while traveling. The Nuobell 50's work great for my confined space.
Another detailed and enjoyable video. Called out all the pros and cons especially when compared to nuobell. Average Joe's also provides some teardown info for the intervals that support what you've mentioned even more in terms of the pros of snode vs nuobell.
Several of the Power Blocks are connecting to a polyurethane link - Which with time erodes with time. Yes! The entire thing falls apart! BTW: I do see for sale the 5Lb chrome add on's for this set $60
I have Nuobells and love them especially first having Bowflex 90s. The two things I don't like so much are the plastic cradles, which Nuobell replaced for me because both were cracked. The second is the length while fully loaded or on the cradle so hearing that the Snodes are slightly longer, that would be a negative for me as well as the 10lb increments. Those cast iron cradles are amazing though but I'd go with the Nuobell still because they're pretty much even and the price would tip the scale for me.
Magnetic plates seem like a simple enough solution, but I like setting mine in the cradle & on the stand between sets. It would be irritating to have to take them out, set them down elsewhere to add the plates and pick them up again in between each set. If the plate was designed to attach inside the plates (around the handle) it might be better. Also I’m curious, are the SNODE comparable with monkey feet? The nuobells do fit (barely)

Good insight. We're going. to test it some more to see what it would take to break it. - Coop
The website now sells them with magnetic weights that allow for 2.5 and 5lb increments. They’re cheaper than the plate mates equivalent. I think it’s awesome and I just bought a pair. Took the leap. Wish me luck!
How they treating ya?
Hopefully you can figure out your issue and use them as intended.

on their site, if you get their early bird special, it'll come with magnetic sets of 2.5 and 5 pound plates
Agreed
They're also more than twice the price. Is it worth the extra $1000? I think for most people the answer is going to be no.
@@whatthat607 Lifetime warranty, more weight and made in North America from a small business. Understandable price

@C Holiday "after a move".. what move broke it?
@@Somtric you’re a rep for nuobell gtfoh
@C Holiday *facepalm*
Just grabbed a set. Thanks for the review!
I am always looking at the new styles of adjustable 90lbs and below reviews, but keep coming back to being very satisfied with my powerblock elites purchase in 2019. The pepin fast series from 95-120 is what has me intrigued once it is fully fleshed out.
Pepin announced a 95-160?
I have the fast series to 120
@@JBS7551 Good catch, I read the 160lbs which are actually 2 x 80s as 160lb per handle. Wishful thinking on my part! 🤣
@@joecowan3719 Maybe we can get Pepin to offer upgrade kits ;)
Bought a pair with your link. Looking forward to trying them out! I don't mind the 10 lb increment since its just inspiration to lift more.
How are they?
You can get 5 pound increments by just removing a plate on one side. I did this to get 1 kg increments on my old Nüo Flexbells which had 4 kg increments. Not ideal, since it'll be a bit unbalanced, but still a free workaround if you don't have the magnet plates.
Similar like adjust 30 and 40 then youwill get 15+20 =35 no need to manaul remove
@@panuwatbuthorntaraj2909 He says in the video that the adjustment dial is on one side only and you adjust both sides with the one dial. (About 8 minutes into the video.)
10 lb jump is a definite deal breaker. Would be very difficult to progress in small increments for most isolation movements
I use platemate and it's not a problem at all.
Don't be a bich.
Yeah, 10lb jumps is a non-starter especially for lower weights. There’s a reason why gyms have dumbbells at 5 lb increments.
This one has finally nailed the adjustable dumbbell period
Nice to see less plastic being used and at a competitive price. Hopefully this pushes nuobell even more. I do think the 10lb jump is bad.
I bought Octabells. I prefer them because I can set them down without them rolling away.
Literally what I just commented to someone else, that this is not necessarily better.
I'm curious as well. Will keep testing them to see if I'm wrong with my assumptions. - Coop
There's no reason both companies couldn't sell replacement plates for like $20-$30.
There’s definitely a flaw on the Nuobells for sure and a plate literally just slid off mid rep
I already have them, LOVE THEM, and got platemates for them
My Nuobell plastic connectors break at least twice a week. I’ve had to by a new cradle and extra plates on eBay to replace the connectors. I finally purchased the Snode. Wish I bought this long ago. Would’ve saved hundreds.
Hey Coop… if you’re ‘calling something out’ it’s negatively critical
If you’re ‘shouting something out’ it’s positively critical.
FYI . Love your reviews just thought I’d call you out on this 😂
These look fine. 10 lbs isn't that bad: I'm used to the 4kg increment-jumps my fake European Fäkobells got. Would love to get my hands on these when and if they get released in Yurp
"Fäkobells" lolololol
My did they same bought replacement handles if happen again I'm just getting snode
If they made a separate handle that weighs 5 or (preferably) 15 lb instead of 10 lb, you could sub that in and have your alternating 10 lb increment jumps. Still not ideal, but maybe a doable workaround.
Snode, hire this man
i was thinking the same thing
Like iron master have a heavy handle
We need the NUOBELL comparison!
Thinking of pulling the trigger on these but also considering the Rep X Pepin units. Would love to see this revisited with the REP-IN / Nuobells!
Yes full comparison!!
"I'd love to compare these directly to Nuobell"
I think you mentioned Nuobell for every single feature you brought up in this review, you'd love to compare them? You already did! 😂
Great video, very informative.
A lot of Nuobell failures has been the plastic parts inside that can't be replaced. We need a full tear down before jumping on this band wagon. Till then I'm sticking with the PB.

Yes please compare the Nuobells!
I use the mess out of mine, and I have no slop. Very well made.
Hey, when your fast series Pepins arrive will you use them for lighter sets and Ironmasters for the heavier work?
Let see the full breakdown! Snode, Nüobells, and Pepin Fast Series
Good video overall Coop but this is more a first impressions and unboxing vs a full in depth review after they’ve been put through their paces.
We'll have a full Nuobell comparison coming after I have more time with them. - Coop
Yes, review side by side with Nuabell ..thanks!! I will purchase via your site!!
I share mine with my wife so not having 5lb increments is a deal breaker besides that they sound great thanks Coop
Iron Masters for the win again
And pepin fast series
I have the old style iron masters where you dont have to take the plates off, you just very slighty losen the screw and slot a plate in or take a plate out. They are the perfect dumbbell!
yes breakdown please!!
These look great but unfortunately I think the 10lb increment is a deal breaker for me. If I'm spending close to 1k on adjustable dumbells I don't want to also have to invest in, store, and fiddle with magnets.
2 seconds to put them on and off? It's not that big if a deal, imho.
They are full cast iron plates, no plastic internals. But I agree the no 5lb increments sucks.
Wow this could be a game changer
You need to compare these to NuoBell and the Pepin fast series side by side
I got a pair of Bolt Fitness Supply's 80lb Octabells for $752 back in November. Love em!
I feel like as long as you don’t mind the 10 lbs jumps (just get magnet weights to add on the sides) it’s no contest. Full metal construction, metal cradles, similar price to competitors, and comes with a warranty for dropping them. Blows the nuobells out of the water.
We need the pepin fast series review!!!
Shot and on the editing floor. It's a BEAST. - Coop
Looking forward to it 😎
Finally! Coop has reviewed the absolute best adjustable dumbbells on the entire market. No other adjustable can compete with these, and now they have magnetic weights to account for the 5lb increments. The only one flaw these have are that they only go up to 85 lbs. Other than that, these are a must have.
Ironmaster is more durable, all metal design. But slow af to adjust them :)
@@MeepMeep88 Yeah I was going to mention that the Iron Masters are arguably the best as well. The changing time is literally the only flaw that may turn some people off. Other than that, they are also amazing.

This is on my list as a maybe, they are including magnets of their own now, 4 - 1.25lb magnets per dumbbell. I'm just wondering if 80lbs is going to continue to be heavy enough.
the 10 pound increments instead of the 5 is what made me go nuobell
Pepin Fast Series = King
Snode all the way because of the durability alone
Great to see u doing a video on this will buying
Do the comparison! I was going to buy the nuobells this week but now I’m going to wait for the side by side
Dang, really appreciate this insight. I guess there's one way to find out. "Sam, get my hammer." - Coop
I’m a mechanical engineer and have to say engineered plastics have their place in mechanical systems. I have t seen what snode uses them for or what type of plastic is used but even in heavy industrial applications, engineered plastics can be found in bearings, etc.
the 1.25lb mangnets work really well! Other than that I love my Snodes!!

Anyone have failure's with the Nuobell plastic pieces? Hope its more a concern than the norm and also hope Nuobell would cover under warrantee. @Coop thanks for all the great reviews.
