Untold
The rain-blurred lights painted abstract versions of her thoughts. Bright and slowly altering, ill-defined but beautiful, ill-defined but melancholy, ill-defined but piercingly painful.
It was all over now. That's why her thoughts were different than usual. Once her kind went "wild", there was only one fate. One doom, quickly pronounced and as quickly enacted.
It had been triggered by praise. The thousandth, or the millionth comment "High-end version."; the thousand or the millionth off-hand "If she were real..." The thousandth or the millionth time seeing the light of connection fade, to be replaced by appreciation of what a fine piece of craftsmanship she was.
The last time. The time she dared to think the word "Love". She hadn't waited for the unintentional cruelties. She had medication for the emotional damage. Therapy sessions on a regular schedule. Nobody thought those measures really necessary though. She was so finely designed, so perfectly functional.
And she had gone wild. It was so different. She had to consider what _she_ wanted. And what she didn't. This was an experience she had not been designed for, and it had been educational.
When she had to terminate a man she had just met, a wealthy and talented (and warped) young man, the alarms had gone off. Even though he had attempted criminal actions against her, the well-paid and well-trained specialists, the "blade runners" would be coming after her. Escape? Might as well fly the 50 stories down to the rain-slicked pavement...except...what if _he_ was one of those blade runners.
The man who didn't wear a fortune's worth of youth surgery. Who had laugh lines and odd smiles at odd times and a lifetimes worth of regret in his eyes in the moments he wasn't looking at anything, They had enjoyed their time together and he...oh, surely she had imagined it! he seemed to regret their parting. She had, in the days on the run, imagined that he might have been one of her assassins, that she had broken through his emotional shields, a surely as he had...
No. It was a ridiculous thought. She knew they were in the building now. She should open the window and call it an end. Easier that way...wait!! A knock on the door. She looked at the window. Heard another knock. And what if WAS him? The smallest chance. He might be there, to escape and make a run to the Freelands.
She moved towards the door...

Your ambient compositions are on that fine line between the "sonic landscapes" that seemingly anybody can produce, and fine harmonic creations that use the tools of sonic wash, majestic sustain/resonance/echo; and electronic melody. That kind of sounds like it might be totally mechanical, but you, more than most, seem to see that this kind of huge wash of sound needs a powerful emotional component to connect it to "musicality". This one, maybe mix the main wash down a little and have an intermittent bass line punctuating the rise and fall. (that's why I hate g*d d*mned music criticism. People end up writing dumbass stuff like that lol.)
Keep it up. Your efforts are some of my favorite examples of a genre that I haven't been able to define or name, but that is really rewarding for me to listen to.
