Jason and the argonauts was the first Harryhausen I watched (with my dad). The skeleton fight, is still regarded as one of the best learning tools, for stop animation. And then you drop this on us Todd. You do have a few aces up your sleeve sir.
Thanks for sharing this! I love Harryhousen films. Have all the Sinbad's on 16mm plus Jason & the Argonauts and 3 worlds of Gulliver. But none with as good color as yours! Didn't know this existed. Was fun to watch! Have a great day & stay safe!
Stop motion animation is really neat. Too bad so few movies today are stop motion. I guess it's just too expensive to make now. Thanks for sharing this film with us.
Wow:) Ray Harryhousen - I was raised by the incredible special effects by Ray (sceletons in Argonauts was amazing). I recommend for You Mr Todd great book "Ray Harryhausen Lost Movies" by John Walsh
OMG!!! I wish I was still collecting 16mm, I'd be getting that. The color looked great with no fade. I was hoping you would show your projection room. What kind of a projector are you using?
Wow thsi looks like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer or The Year Without a Santa Claus . I love stop motion its such a art form its why I loved when the movie Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit .
I love stop motion animation like Gumby Frog and Toad Wallace and Gromit Davey and Goliath and even Dragon. I wish I had a projector I would love to collect this but unfortunately I don't have a projector thumbs up Todd great video you should keep it in your collection that is definitely a collector's item.

They're making a sequel to Chicken Run. Aardman is the only studio still making stop-motion that I know of.

James Rolfe the Angry Video Game Nerd might be interested in this. he collects film and is a Harryhausen fan.
That's awesome. The 7th Voyage of Sinbad was one of my favorite films as a kid. Love RHH.
Fantastic video! Don't give up guys!
Could this have inspired Rankin-Bass to make all those Christmas specials?? Could be!
Beautiful!

Harryhausen's stuff is timeless.
Ray was a super artist.
I am not 100% sure, but I believe my Grandparents had Viewmaster slides of this film. I loved their Viewmaster!
That is VERY possible!
🙌💥
R.I.P. Harry Harryhausen.
Wow a Harryhausen....how does one store film like this?
Stop motion with real physical objects has such a great feel to it. I dont like most CGI.
