It’s an efficient and effortless appliance. You can’t expect much more. But if you need a bigger rig to go from point A and point B and come back to point A without wondering if it’s going to break (and it won’t), this is your (very) safe bet. Plus, the resale value is unbeatable. If you want a peace of mind with a rig you can easily sell with a profit in case your own personal economics go down the drain for any possible reason, it is the right pick. There will always be someone ready to pay an insane amount of money to buy it from you.
I know it's nothing new but thanks for reviewing low/mid trim vehicles. I forgot the Woodland Rav4 had cloth seats! I like that trim because that's the only hybrid trim with cloth seat & foggies, all the others have vinyl seats.
In the same boat. Love this trim with all the outdoorsy mods I want in a hybrid SUV without having to individually add them to a different trim level. Has less unnecessary tech, which is something I wanted. Also the only one to come in the army green color.
@drn13355 no but it implies off-road trim, stormy weather, going for that Subaru type of thing. Heated seats should be a prerequisite on a trim like this
It's just a marketing name. No different to my F-150 "Sport" or a BMW M3 "Competition." I try to see the vehicle simply for what it is. This is a standard RAV4 with a few extra tweaks and aesthetic bits.
@@ALMX5DPm3 competition isn’t just marketing. You actually get more horsepower even better performance even better handling even better brakes even better tires even firmer suspension

Waaaay overpriced, poor quality inside, dated, tight back seats, uncomfortable seats, noisy interior, pathetic driving experience, bumpy ride etc Any other cuv stands out more and they simply offer more than the rav4.
Highly disagree. Drove the Honda. Not even close compared to the RAV4 hybrids. Especially the XSE which I own. Also own a 2022 XLE AWD gas model - not as good as the hybrids though.
@ I’m 6’ 1” and have plenty of room in the second row - behind my wife who is 5’ 8” if she’s driving and I sit in the back for whatever reason. Now three adults in the back seat would be a little tight - but it’s a midsize CUV so it’s not meant for five adults. Lol.
Lol this thing is so budget it’s only real place is on a rental car lot. I like Toyota but they’re really coasting on their reputation and phoning in some extremely lame products.
Agreed. The infamous Toyota hater me has been right for saying just about every new product. The 8th gen Camry is the last good Toyota on sale. I started to hate them once they began to underwhelm their new products.
Just drove a 2024 crv after driving a 2024 Rav 4. The Toyota feels cheap and looks cheap inside and it's also loud. The crv is by far a better option and more leg room along with not feeling cheap and plastic feeling. It may be reliable but the material is not with that much. The Nissan rogue outclasses both the crv and rav4 but the transmission is just not reliable on the rogue. If they switch like they did on the Pathfinder and the new Murano they'll have a seller on their hands.
The RAV4 continues to look increasingly outdated inside and out. The infotainment screen is smaller than my Ford from 7+ years ago, the instrument cluster is archaic, the center armrest looks like something out of a $25k starter car. Your comparisons were good, but you’re missing the Ford Escape hybrid, another competitor.
this is most of toyotas line up. they stay at least a full generation behind and over charge for “reliability” (outdated & underpowered). but notice how wide spread and significant the problems they’re having now are, now that they’re trying to play catch up
I can’t wait for you to be disappointed once the next rav4 comes out. Knowing that Toyotas been screwing up everything and really underwhelming lately in their redesigns this won’t be any different
Best vehicle in market for sale. My sister has a 2009 that has over 200,000 miles.
No it isn’t. The most overhyped overrated overpriced poor quality and underwhelming vehicle in its class

Someone forgot to upload this video 2 years ago?
it literally says they filmed it with a 2023... as in they used a 2023 model vehicle for the video but updated the pricing and details.
Merry Christmas Alex, Travis and Nick!!
No heated seats on the Woodland edition, sure that makes a whole lot of sense Toyota

A 2023 review a week from 2025. Hell yeah.
Lol ... who does that!
It was a slip of the tongue. The graphic says 2024.

Faster Than a Nissan Rogue
Can we expect a pice drop for this gen when the new refreshed gen is announced?
Won’t happen.
The 60-0 mph braking test result is dubious. So is the 62 dB noise reading.
A refresh is coming right?
Probably for the 2026 model year.

Two year old video being uploaded?
This got lost in the editing queue, fortunately nothing really changed since then…
those tires will get loud
So a woodland edition is a base hybrid with at tires, floor mats and stickers for a price premium? No thanks
This once best selling suv needs a refresh bad.

Agreed. The real RAV4 is the new Mitsubishi mirage only in cuv form.
Definitely looking outdated these days.
