Where is your farm? I used to run an L3 gleaner, the big, big brother to yours. Put quite alot of buckwheat through that, we would normally swath it and leave it lay in the windrow for 2 weeks or so before picking it up.
Hi, we are located in Armidale NSW. Would be great to swath it first but no swathers around here, not much of a cropping region, mostly grazing. Did you have a pickup front for the the L3 or just use the normal front?
@@nicktaber6769 Yes we ran a 15ft victory pickup, picking up a 25ft windrow.. Worked pretty good, especially if you leave it for long enough. Have a pickup on my current new holland too, wouldnt go without, especially for canola or really heavy wheat crops. Your F2 is a hydro i see, those were pretty slick. Our L3 was just a belt. Worked good but not quite as nice as the hydro
Hi, thanks for the question. the idea is if you drive into somewhere soft and get stuck you can reverse out as you have more traction backwards than forwards.

why are the drive tires on backwards ?
