Saw them around 150 times, along with John Eating In Bed, they were so much part of our life, John even made a Cardiacs toothbrush, even a Cardiacs duvet... Nothing, nothing, nothing touches the great work of the great Tim Smith Everyone here writing comments about how they are so taken with them, you are so not alone, the family is everywhere Tim is in a hospital in Wiltshire, severe people have moved down there to be close to him It was such a tragedy for him to take so ill and yet, after all this time, he can make you cry and laugh with ease, we love him so much. Go see North Sea Radio Orchestra, Arch Garrison, Knifeworld, William D Drake, Ham Legion, Zofff, Mummy... Remember Blur being in the early ponds and loving them so much too. We love you Timmy
Tim Smith, you are in another dimension, but we're all here loving you. I don't believe in gods, such a funny showcase of human weakness, I know you are not dead, You're alive beyond thbe pbvoius fact you're dead so you don't exist anymore in EXISTANCE, but holy fuck you are alive in my mind every second, you are alive beyond being dead, you exist like Frank Zappa and other people dead but knowing their WORK will survive. I will never thank you enougg. So har now, when you don't share anymore our fucking pathetic enclosure. You have been a light, you will continue to be forever. And now this is why people of value will survive beyond their human limits. Tim is doing it, I will never forget about him, like a relative.
I'm general a metal head with a liking for the more bizarre such as Tool, FNM, Rammstein , primus etc . Cardiacs are a challenging listen with big rewards and so addictive I remember seeing them on The Tube tv show years ago but only just really started to appreciate their genius. Wow
It really is incredible that these guys can make music as intense and frightening totally as the stuff you hear with metal (honestly more so, a lot of the time), with songs like duck and roger the horse, and the entirety of the garage concerts, etc. But at the same time they equally excel at beautiful atmospheric psychedelic music and everything in between. Cardiacs are a genius band and their importance cannot be overstated. History will treat them well.
Si te gusta PRIMUS tienes buen gusto chaval, aunque el sonido Primus no es metalero,si que tiene toques metaleros, grupo sin etiquetas como Cardiacs, salud.
somehow, the music of cardiacs, and this piece in particular, reminds me of a passage from forkel's monography about bach: "but in fugue, counterpoint, and canon he [bach] stands alone in a grandeur so isolated that all around him seems desert and void. no one ever wrote fugues to compare with his; indeed persons unaquainted with them cannot imagine what a fugue is and ought to be."
So Tim also produced this. If I could find a producer/engineer that could do this, I would be thrilled. I'm also 60 and this is better than anything on the radio. Oh to have met him, not that I could have understood.
Cardiacs CDs now available through their website. Support Tim and our Cardiacs family. BUY TONS OF STUFF. - My problem with this band is I cannot stop myself from listening to them or thinking about them. Seriously. I'm helpless to stop myself.
@@moseva Thanks. Your initial comment was pretty "on point". I was lucky to meet Tim and chat with him for a few precious minutes once. His work triggers something divine, and meeting him was not a disappointment. I "walked on air" all the way home, such was how it felt. I should correct my comment ... "just" seems a little underwhelming. There's nothing "just" about his accomplishments :)
@JCD459 I think it might be slightly better quality than the other I've seen so I'll upload it. I'm mostly trying to upload Cardiacs tunes that I can't find on here. I only discovered them a few months ago and have become slightly obsessed!
The joy of finding a Cardiacs song I never knew existed. Thanks for uploading
cyriak me too! And that's rare for me!
of COURSE cyriak listens to cardiacs
I stumbled across "Faster than Snakes on a ball and a chain" a week or so ago and my jaw is still on the floor.
@@tannerin it sounds so clear now that I'm aware of the band. It's always neat seeing when creators I like enjoy the same things I do.
cyriak your music reminded me a lot of cardiacs so I’m not surprised you’re a fan
Imagine being over 60 and hearing cardiacs for the first time....I thought I'd heard it all....I was wrong and am very thankful.
Same here!
Same here, again! Am 65 and thought I had heard it all. This song is just over-the-top mind blowing.
Ditto! ♥
In the same boat!!!!!
Me too. 63 years down the road and finding Cardiacs.
How did I exist without knowing this?
Tim Smith was a modern day Mozart. Just a shame he isn't as famous.

*clicks new video*
Ah my new favourite cardiacs song
*repeat until you've heard everything*
Cardiacs have too many good songs and too many brilliant moments. There discography is unbelievable.
Everything Tim and company touched turned to gold

Monstrous riff. RIP Tim Smith!
Cardiacs should be on the national health
Happt Saturday 😎
It's just mesmerizing how so unintelligible, but at the same time, heartfelt cardiacs (and Tim's) music can be.

My soul is screaming and this harmonizes beautifully
Never heard this before and - needless to say - I love it already. They a truly unparalleled
Howcome I never heard these guys before? Sounds like Zappa meets Genesis and has fun!!
Well, they were banned by some magazine editors
Tragically late to the party myself. I seek out this kind of stuff but this band has eluded me.
It’s what happens to bands banned by stupid editors 😢
mate same totally ! cant stop listening to them and when Im not listening to them I can still hear them in me head !!! just awesome
For me this is one of their best tunes, and thats saying something.
I see you Mel and Claire!
What an awesome band. I'm totally hooked. Wish I had heard them years ago. God speed to Tim's recovery.
IT IS GLORIOUS
Lovely pic of the collective.
Been watching Cyraik and his twisted videos for years... Never knew he was a Cardiacs fan too... At least I know where he gets it from now!
+Crestietom I did not know that! I used to have run ins with him on B3ta back in the day. Amusing guy.
he's also a GONG fan, 50p says kavus blasts a bit of radio gnome from time to time, wouldn't put it past tim either.

amazing tune
If you fancy a challenge, an animated video for this or GEN, please. No hurry x
MOO is one of the best things i ever saw :)
This man is GOD.
Indeed. That, or "Dog." 😉
I need to stop following you from thread to thread...or you need to stop being there, because, to be blunt, it's getting rather embarrassing.
@@Bix12 not as embarassing as a vain posh twat like you.
Wow - never heard this before. Thanks for uploading. Can't recall how many times I saw them in the '90s. Amazing!
Love it!!

The day they removed the stuff from spotify i went straight there and bought all the albums.
God sent Tim to our planet
Maybe. Or God sends continuously, and Tim was just a great receiver/transcriber.

fuck, I KNEW YOU LIKED CARDIACS.
AWESOME. And keep making your awesome videos, I've been subscribed for the last few years.
Bounciest song in the world!
THESE. GUYS. SHOULD. BE. MORE FAMOUS. END OF.
Gotta find a copy of this... lacking such my life will be far from complete... alas...
Tim should have written a punk musical for the West end. He was a unique and original talent.

It's from the Ditzy Scene ep single
Where is this track from I've never heard of it?

Dammit. Tim Smith grows to godlike musical genius and then overdoes it with greatest music ever created /Yay. Then overdoes it/ Boo.
