I fed a leaf (flake) to each horse in the winter especially in NY, along with a 1st cutting orchard grass. The birds are very excited! The babies are so cute crying like that ,wanting their bottles. Very good advice, Lester, and truthful and to the actual reality of it all.👍
Alfalfa is the best. We grew it in NY on or dairy farm. We fed corn silage as a staple, some grains, alfalfa but not everyday on the alfalfa. Molasses sprinkled on the hay in the winter time for extra nutrition. (My job) Being a dairy farm my dad was interested in getting a high butterfat count. That is how we made our income. Lester, I was raised beside my grandparents farm. He raised Angus. Now in Western Pennsylvania our winters are brutal and the cattle were kept in the barn through the worse weather. Grandpa planted and bailed a mixture of alfalfa and Timothy and fed during the dead of winter with grains as well. With a shorter growing season than you have that grass mix did well here in our area. I wonder what a trial acre of that grass would do for you.

I love watching you feed your animals they look so good and healthy. Any thing you do is good to watch. Hope everything is going good with the new property.
A thought.... maybe a job for Ben to earn money (for his trips 😁) could be to run the drag and pick up all the sticks across the pasture before you start treating the soil acidity. This is a wonderful video. I love seeing all the 'babies' trusting Daddy, enjoying the feed etc. So fun to watch Ruby and Dani come a runnin'. It's so sweet how Jolene lets you touch her. Baby Trinity is adorable and blending right in with the herd and the goats too. So lovely to watch and the background music is really pleasant.
Is there a reason such as climate etc that you can’t grow your own Alfalfa or Timothy Grass?? Especially now that you’ve gained the new property?? It can be sectioned of for a variety of feed grasses. It will be a blessing for sure.. those gorgeous calves just lift my heart. Thanks for the smiles Lester
You might try to plant Alfalfa on 20 or so acres. In Idaho they get 3 to 4 cuttings per season for each acre. Some Alfalfa hay will pass through the rumen of a beef cow in about one-half the time required by grass hay (36 versus 70 hours). Therefore, animals fed alfalfa hay tend to gain faster, produce more milk, and maintain themselves in better condition than those fed other forages.
Liked this video was very relaxing, stress release, including the music. This message coming from Duluth MN having a little snow rain combo and 30 degrees farenheight

Did you read those to your boys when they were young?
I love watching you feed your animals they look so good and healthy. Any thing you do is good to watch. Hope everything is going good with the new property.
Lester, thanks for teaching me the boa constrictor song. Never heard it before. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Classic 😂😂😂
Ostriches running are pure JOY!😊❤
Thanks for the smiles Lester
i love the music you play when you are moving from area to area. it is soothing
Boy they are ready to eat. Our babies are becoming teenagers, then here is Trinity, he's so cute
The babies are so cute. The Ladies are also. And Waylon is a very sharp looking guy. I bet he’s gonna be a ladies man like Tex. Lol
I love your life Lester and am thankful that you share it with us! ❤
Your video’s always make me feel good. You and the Morrows make my day.
I am glad your Longhorns and goats and big birds are 16:05 doing so well. You are giving good advice. I am r cited about the new farm property.
Love watching the ostriches run
I grew up on a farm in Minnesota, and we fed alfalfa hay to our milk cows all winter, along with some grain.
Hi, Lester, Ruby & Dani! Hope you’re having a great day!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🇺🇸💖‼️
Liked this video was very relaxing, stress release, including the music. This message coming from Duluth MN having a little snow rain combo and 30 degrees farenheight
I recognize Shel Silverstein’s Where the Sidewalk Ends! anywhere! It is quite fitting for 2 little girl longhorns like Ruby and Dani! ❤
I love watching your videos, thank you for sharing and have a great evening!!!
Thank you for these videos!! They bless me & I pray God's best blessings to you!!
Thank you barbara
Love the birds running and dancing.
Tehehe, last part of that song is " oh dread, he's up to my head, choking and muffled screams ". I love Shel Silvetstein
