Do the writers even know Bruce Banner at all? Or do they just look at him as “a man that gets angry and turns green and big”. Because that line of dialogue was ridiculous. Bruce banner was abused as a kid, watched his father figure beat his mom to death. Bruce tried to off himself and failed. Bruce has to live with the fact that Hulk took control of his body and mass killed innocent people in Avengers 2.

She-Hulk’s powers come from a blood transfusion from Banner, because his blood was the only match for her after an accident. The reason she doesn’t transform into full-out Hulk is because she never went through the same process with same amount of serum and gamma radiation. This enables her to look relatively normal and keep her mind in Hulk-form.

Hulk has fought aliens, monsters, been sent into space, been in battles, taken on Thanos, forced into hiding, had a split personality, and has been hunted and attacked by the military.
But, She-Hulk was sort of cat called by three guys outside a bar, and her boss did some mansplaining early in the episode. So, her life is (in her words) "infinitely more stressful" than real Hulk.
This show is making feminism seem more ridiculous, not less. Also, Smart Hulk sucks.

The humor in She-Hulk’s comics was some of the best stuff about the character. In John Byrne’s run she frequently broke the 4th wall and made fun of the readers of the comic. I hope they include some of that here. But the CGI has GOT to be cleaned up. It’s a multi-billion dollar company. Spend some money!

@@Adi-qj6ci Yes, the She-Hulk series were a big influence on Joe Kelly’s Deadpool (he was basically the writer who made Deadpool what he is today). The John Byrne She-Hulk books were really irreverent and way ahead of their time. She used to have a running dialogue with Byrne in which she would ask him for better dialogue…stuff like that.
I’d be down for a giant green girl Deadpool like character. Hope they do that, because if they don’t and don’t fix the cgi, I’m concerned. It kinda looks like a hot mess right now.

Yeah I was hoping they would have done that, and that she would have been more muscular as She-Hulk, but I guess we take what we can get. I just hope its good.
I'm kind of hoping that we're seeing unfinished effects, the release date for the show got leaked a few days or so before the trailer went up so maybe they felt that leak was forcing their hand so they went with the effects they had (or could render quickly) rather than what they want to actually air.

If you are okay with the risk of watching a female bodybuilder with her skin painted green instead of She-Hulk... Not an expert on human psychology while watching a t.v show but the guess is that suspending disbelief and going *that IS the character i was expecting to see* are important parts of the equation. Then again i made a hypothesis about someone else and expressed a personal opinion on the comment section of a social medium so ah guess i lose automatically.
the trailer really says alot on how a woman lead movie or series would have: Best friends, scenes at a bar, them getting drunk, the lead's dating life, literally having a line every 5 mins either on the woman's looks or their attitude.

You want them to retread old storylines? That's not going to be boring at all. It's hard to have a character follow in the footsteps of an iconic hero because writers don't want to retread the same story beats but if they don't, the character gets called a woke Mary sue.

When you start telling the audience how to feel about the character (see Super Girl E1) you have to doubt they will succeed at _showing_ us a compelling character.
I don't think I could ever be drunk enough to want to watch this.
Is the She-Hulk CGI unfinished? It looks uncanny compared to Hulk's CGI which looks phenomenal.
Yeah most likely, usually when the trailer is released the CGI isn’t fully completed but you can see that hulk looks like he did in endgame. They probably are still working on the she-hulk model.
She hulk is a TV show that isn’t Marvel Studios main priority and is 6 hours of content with a max budget of 150 million. Avatar 2 is a Blockbuster Movie with a budget of $250 million and runtime of 2 hrs 40 min. Avatar 2 has been in production since 2017 so many of the vfx shots could have been finished before the pandemic. She hulk began production in August 2019 so most of the filming was delayed because of the pandemic so most of the vfx work was only done recently. With Marvel they have a strict time limit to release trailers so that when your exited about She-Hulk your occupied by Ms. Marvel and then Thor Love and Thunder so that way it feels like a there are no breaks and there’s always something to look forward to. My point is this is clearly a case of the trailer releasing before the CGI is complete mainly because vfx shots are the last thing they do in productions. Also faces are one of the hardest vfx things to do because we are so trained to recognize faces that even when things are slightly off it looks unnatural. She-Hulks CGI will probably be better when the show actually comes out.

I’m going to watch. The CGI for her is the only thing I’m a little iffy on. But if the story is good, and there are implications for the wider MCU, it’ll make up for it. Less-than-perfect CGI doesn’t make or break a film/series.
They got 4 months to touch it up. Hopefully they do....
