- It was a cloudy day at the International Polo Club so the conditions weren't as good as I had hoped.
The International Polo Club Palm Beach is the premier polo destination in the world, hosting the largest field of high-goal teams and the most prestigious polo tournaments in the United States. Polo enthusiasts descend upon Wellington, Fla., each winter season to enjoy their love of the sport in the most prominent and well‐equipped polo facility.
Polo is a dynamic and exciting team game that is played on horseback. One of the oldest known sports in the world, it is thought to have originated in Persia over 2000 years ago. The game as we know it today originates in India in the 1800s, where British soldiers who were stationed there saw the game being played locally and adapted it for their own uses, often using it as training for cavalry riders.
Brought to Britain soon after, rules were established and from then on the game spread, and is now played across the world where as well as the UK, it is particularly popular in Argentina and the USA. The sport is overseen by the Federation of International Polo.

That was great David. Loved the pass over the main club in the beginning. The video playing on the pad with your logo popping up on the phone was awesome man. And the stills alternating in the frames was great. Good all around bud I enjoyed it. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I didn't know there was a Poll club in Florida. Nice views of the place. Like 24 👍🏻
Basically that's the main reason why that city exists. This time of year there is a influx of seasonal residents that occupy that area. They are the equestrian minded people. Not all are into Polo. They have other competitions too.

Greetings from Ocala, Florida- the horse capital of Florida (although Wellington is much nicer!) I look forward to moving near the area next year. Somewhere in western West Palm Beach County.
Thank you. 👍Wellington claims to be the equestrian capital of the world. Either way, you should feel right at home. I have drone footage of the "Wellington International Equestrian Center" as well but haven't edited it.

Wellington was created for the equestrian crowd. It is not unusual to see people in the grocery store with their riding clothes on. Nice houses as well. It is mainly a residential area. I've been to the Polo Club several times. Twice for Polo matches, once for a hot air balloon exhibition, and another to video this.
If you plan on flying your drone at the Polo Club act like you're a member. The staff caters to the rich and won't ask without reasonable doubt. 😊 Or, do the correct thing and phone ahead and get clearance.

I've never actually seen a polo club up close before! It's a fascinating look at how the other side lives!
I've only been to two polo matches. It's fast paced action. And, at half time everyone (in their well dressed summer clothes) goes out to the field and drinks champagne. It is a totally different atmosphere than football.

David thanks for your comment on the stingray,, 1st off,,, I think it is a stingray not manta,, and I film a lot of them here, I have one shot with about 10 in one play, but mostly small tiger rays,,I was glad you commented,, not sure why that comment won't let me reply to it,,, take care,,it was unusual
It was difficult to identify since it the water was creating an illusion that the outer portion was translucent.

I've been there four times. Twice for polo matches, once for a hot air balloon event, and for this footage. It is a different environment for sure. Champagne and gathering on the field at "half time" is the tradition. Is it okay to have two glasses of champagne? (if no one is looking!) 😜

Yes I agree on all accounts. I thought I would be thrown out for being there but the staff apparently are afraid to interrogate anyone for fear it may turn out to be someone rich or has connections. Ticket prices to see a match are more than I ever paid to go to an NFL game. Thanks for watching!

I don't recall him ever leaving any comments on my channel. I looked at his channel. Only 18 videos and the most popular one is 1.7k views. He doesn't seem to respond to most comments left on his videos. The comments aren't personal in nature so most people probably don't know him outside of his UA-cam. Like work place, church, social group. Something is not adding up here.

It was a very gusty day. My Mavic Pro v1 didn't care for it so I took the Mavic Air 2 up. Once that was sorted out it started to rain so I only had limited footage. Thanks for watching !

Teams from all over the country come to compete at this location. This time of year there are matches every weekend.
