Hi Jayne, Thank you for helping me with the route around the flower. I love the magnets to hold the petals in place. I just bought some tiny ones for another project tut tis is awesome. This will be better than the clips that the thread constantly gets hung up on. 10 minutes later, it is so much better. Thank you again.
My grandmother taught me to let the thread dangle every so often to let the thread untwist. As you stitch, your thread can twist - which causes the thread to tangle. If you let the thread dangle and untwist, you will get less tangles.
I am loving your tutorials and learning how to do paper piecing, I have avoided learning for years, this is hands down, the most relaxing of any of my crafts. I do have a question, I can see many of my stitches on the right side of my work, do you have suggestions on what I am doing wrong and how to fix it? Thank you for these videos
Wonderful! Yes, my first suggestion would be to use a thinner needle. When I changed my needle size, my stitch visibility was reduced big time! Check out my video on Best Needles for EPP ua-cam.com/video/x5t8fk0UIPA/v-deo.html
This is perfect for me. Last night I was trying to find a way to do this. But I didn't get far... I'm just really thankful that you're here for us! 🧡♥️🧡♥️
I know that I am very late in commenting on this video but I hope that someone will answer my qui. How do I add larger sizes of of flowers with smaller butterflies?
You can use the larger templates for the flowers and the smaller templates for the butterflies. That will give you different sizes in the finished motifs. Hope that helps!
So excited to find your channel. I am going to be unable to get around for a few weeks and thought I would see if I could do EPP, Thank you can;t wait to learn
Thank you for starting this series. I look forward to each pattern. Would like to know the name of the quilt pattern you are standing in front of. It is very beautiful.
Thank you I think instead of starting my placemat I will start with this flower. I may sew it onto my placemat in some way. I was wondering though what do you do for a backing if not sewing it onto something? I think the flower would work great for a coaster if backed. I see Christmas gifts in the future here.
I also wonder about this, I had wanted to sew several flowers together for a table runner but not sure what to do about the back. Would I just sew them onto a table runner rather than just sew them each together?
Sew them onto a piece of fabric, already hemmed; or use two strips of fabric that meet the measurements for the width & length of your table runner, minus the narrowest width of the EPP pattern in the middle. Then, stitch down the outside edges of the EPP pattern to the placement fabric.. which could already be Quilted, if desired.
Thank you that is so cute , can’t wait to try this as well I love the flower and butterfly. Well done.😊
Thanks so much 😊

This is fantastic advise, Dot. Thank you for sharing it!
Love the sparkly intro!
Thanks! 😁

@@MakerJayne I am using your favorite needle per that video but I am grateful for any help, thank you
Try using a size 11 milliners needle and thinner thread like an 80wt. I use aurifil mako cotton and it blends in lovely.

Glad I could help!
This is great. I was hoping to find more patterns. Thank you.

How do you cut the fabric which includes the seam allowance? Is there a template for that?
There are templates for that. They're called acrylic templates and can be used with a rotary cutter.

So glad you found it! Let me know if I can help answer any questions. Enjoy the videos. :D
I realize that my stitches are more near from one of the other. Is that to squeeze??
I'm not sure what you're asking.

You’re welcome 😊 The pattern for the quilt in the background is the 3 Dudes Quilt. You can find it here on YT.

Good question. I'll consider doing a video on that in the future.
@@MakerJayne I look forward to seeing what you do.
