Aagh I always forget to set a reference plane and end up creating everything on the default or the previous. You can imagine all the error messages I get when flexing the family hehe. Many thanks, Aussie BIM Guru! Those reference lines are powerful.
blessed this series, it just keeps on given. Made new jam profiles for sliding doors and leaf thickness peramiters on your familes, and we doing pivots now fam... ALL THE FUCKEN DOORS
Hi, I love this series!! May I ask, I am feeling a bit stuck on creating timber batten walls from a set profile, I have created a basic timber batten wall from a Curtain wall using an empty panel family, but how to control the corners if using battens that arent square and needs to slip into each other at a set distance? Any ideas on how to create a smooth family/wall system? Would you mind showing us how in future video? I am using the STRATA profile from this website www.porta.com.au/porta-contours-2/ for a project I am working on, would be a time saver to figure this out :)
I've tried using curtain walls as stud/batten walls before in the past, they struggle a lot when it comes to corner junctions, especially if not at 90 degrees. I'd suggest considering a line based family with an arrayed component instead as you'll get more control and customization vs. a curtain wall system where the components have a bit of a mind of their own! If you can email me a detail of the intended corner junction as PDF/DWG I should be able to make a video of it.

They sure are, I find this approach much easier than fully constrained reference lines - just takes a few tries to get the hang of it!

No door is out or reach now, the world is your oyster!
Supper speed.😄

Ah ok, I give that a try. Thank you. Its just 90 degrees junctions for the front panels for a bar. Thanks :)
