अपनी ज़िंदगी में मैंने जितना craze तेरे नाम के गानों का देखा, उतना किसी भी movie का नहीं। लोग पागल हो गए थे इस फ़िल्म के गानों के लिए, ज़बरदस्त जुनून और दीवानापन था लोगों के बीच इस फ़िल्म के songs के लिए। फ़िल्म भी बहुत चली थी, धूम मचा दिया था इस फ़िल्म ने। वैसे तो गदर फ़िल्म ने भी बहुत धूम मचाया था, गदर के भी सारे गाने ब्लॉकबस्टर हिट हुए, movie भी लाजवाब थी। मैं दावे के साथ कहता हूँ कि हिंदी फिल्मों के इतिहास में तेरे नाम के songs सबसे ज्यादा चले अभी तक। इसके गानों के आगे सभी गाने फिंके पड़ जाते हैं।
