The Swanson Speed Square was developed by Albert Swanson in the United States in 1925. While very clever, it’s far from new.
Who said it was new? Besides, you use imperial measurements, everything you say is irelevant.
I didn’t even know a metric speed square existed. I wish that we fully accepted the metric system in Canada… the trades still use the confusing and outdated imperial system.
