Glad to see the VPX cream rising to the top ;-) . Thanks for giving an essential table list a go and I really appreciate that you update it as you learn about new tables, mods and updates. I'll have to think long and hard before I'll be able to produce an essential list. I'm not even sure what I would deem to be essential. Some thoughts and opinions on some of the tables you have included: - Two of the tables that are already rather good will get big updates - the one in the middle of your video, likely middle next year, and the other closer to the end of your video, towards the end of this year/beginning next. - I like the Family guy update but prefer the Paladin update of Shrek as I just have a stronger affinity with Shrek. Coincidentally, both were worked on at the same time with input by the VPW mod team members. - I much prefer UnclePaulie's Comet with its beautiful lighting but the Balutito mod is not bad (and modded from UnclePaulie's mod). - I hope the Turtles table will get an update, especially physics, at some point.
Tiki Bob's Atomic Beach Party (original) needs to be on this list for sheer ambiance. Also, Batman '66 is still missing, as is Ghostbusters. Both of those are must-haves.
Tiki Bob will definitely be in the next original showcase. Update #3 will likely be updates only, because there are so many of them, but Update#4 will definitely have new tables added.
Love your enthusiasm, and respect your opinion, but have to agree to disagree. you have to remember that the essential tables list is for newer, and less pinball exposed, viewers. Imagine if you said to someone who has never played pinball before (or from another planet), just check out anything VPW has made, it is all the greatest, and they download Hang Glider and the Goonies...and say, "I don't get it? I'm never playing pinball ever again..." Whereas, people who are familiar with pinball, and the amount of work it takes to make an amazing VPX table would say, "these tables are awesome!!!"
@@deateeshortz4385 never said the tables VPW has to offer is the greatest. definitely essential to have. Like you said Star Trek TNG isn't your favorite pinball but still essential.
Taxi is pretty cool. My arcade just got one of these tables in, and it is pretty awesome to play, and VPW's version of the table plays very well and accurately to the real life table also, so unknowingly I had quite a bit of practice before I ever played it in real life. Great Suggestion!
No originals? Harry potter, Pizza time, IT Pinball madness, Blood Machines, Wacky racers, monkey island? Come on!! originals are soo much fun. you are doing your sefl a disservice to ignore them.
Apologies for the late response. I love many originals. Actually was playing JP's Wrath of Olympus, and IT, when I first read this comment (both awesome). I am hoping to make a video on just originals, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Hi Rez's reskinned medusa Halloween Table is also quite spectacular. Loved Monkey Island when it first came out (haven't played it in a while). Lots of good stuff out there. One of my goals when I got into VPX was making my own tables (and I am definitely not there yet, but working on it). I don't have anything against originals, just haven't had time to showcase them.
@@deateeshortz4385 Since VPW started working on originals things could accelerate for them in the near future, it's pretty cool. Blood Machines was such a crazy project, and the next Die Hard Trilogy will be a great second step.
@@Mysda_ Oh my goodness! Did you just say that VPW are making a Die Hard Trilogy table for VPX?! 😲 I have dreamed of that table theme being created for a long time! Do you have a link to any information of its development? I would love to know more 😃
@@mechanicalpants We shared a little bit when the development started, but since we are getting further we want to keep the surprise. So if you really dig you might find early info, but I would recommend waiting. I made the layout, it's a bit different from most tables, with some cool magnet action, but we tried to make it feel like something from 1990.
@@Mysda_ Okay, thanks for the update! I'm just glad to hear that you guys are still on it and it's coming along, because I'm so keen for something made from these movies. It has so much potential and hard to believe it was never a real pinball machine, back in the day. The opportunities for toys and DMD animations and epic call outs would have been mega! Really cool to hear you are aiming for an old school 90's vibe, that sounds truly excellent, I hope the artwork will also do justice to the theme and all those fantastic posters etc from that time. Magnets Sounds very intriguing, I'm very psyched for this 🤩What did you share it on previously, was it UA-cam or perhaps a forum? Anyway, wishing the team great success with this and all future projects. Thankyou for the work you have done for the pinball community 👍🏆👏💪
Whenever I run cactus canyon the mine shaft just keeps going up and is broken. I’ve looked for a fix but have only found others asking for help and never found a fix so just gave up on that one.

Pretty much anything from VPinWorkshop is an essential table to have.

Agreed
Great video, as someone who can't get VPX working on my pc what would you recommend ? I've got an older pc, would VPX run on it? cheers.
Thanks
I would add Taxi
