These videos are great, I love my new hybrid ex Sportage but just like anything you buy you start to find things you don’t like as much but overall this is a great vehicle and for the price point I found it hard to find a better value. I like your honesty and you are informative.
Thanks for noting that the sound quality is better (a lot better) when you plug in your phone. Most people neglect to mention that. That's why the wireless android situation doesn't bother me. Plus, you can still listen to music, UA-cam and other apps wirelessly, if you like, while using the vehicles built in navigation. I haven't noticed the rattle in mine. Gas mileage-wise, I don't drive much; mainly just driving to work. With my last vehicle, a 2022 tucson non-hybrid, I had to fill up every three weeks. With this Sportage Ex hybrid, I got it on 5/31, and my tank is currently, as of 6/22, at 41%. I'm not going to need to fill up for another couple of weeks. That's pretty cool!
After a exhaustive search, you are absolutely correct. There IS NOT a single hybrid ex with or without the EX premium package that has adaptive cruise control. This is absolutely atrocious by kia. In this world today i would NEVER buy a vehicle without adaptive cruise control. It's not just a convenience issue, it's a safety issue. You have to jump up $4-5,000 to get adaptive cruise control. What a joke. Or, get a non hybrid model.
Thanks for the update. I like hearing about the different models and what people are going through. I plan on updating this thread once I get my new high-pressure fuel pump.
4:35 This is an example of higher trims not being 100% better than Lower ones Lx. Trim has physical buttons, The driver's Speed'o'meter is digital not a fake Analog just to name some examples
I do miss adaptive cruise control , it should be standard equipped. I can say the awd hybrid sportage mpg was 36 on a 900 mile trip. I am happy with the mpg.
@@myboringchannel ok, I'm also looking at getting the new Sportage, albeit the shorter European version, and here's a tip if you're not familiar with - when you depress the 'toggle' swtich for a few seconds you can set the default of the panel to revert back to Climate or Media. So say you've pressed the toggle to Media, then after a few seconds of using it, it will go back to Climate, depending on the default you've set. Also, the lane keep assist may be able to be switched off by depressing the steering button for a few seconds instead of going to the touchscreen.
@@MohsinWadee This is a GREAT tip. I've already made the change (climate for default) and it's AWESOME! My complaint is hereby resolved. This is MUCH better.
The USB for CarPlay doesn't charge quickly. But the USB-C port to the right of it will charge your phone very quickly. My phone just gained 20% in 15 minutes on my drive home tonight.
I just got mine Monday and I have mostly the same complaints. I THOUGHT it had wireless car play because other sportages do. I ASSUMED it had adaptive cruise control because why wouldn't it. Makes no sense. MPG not great yet for me either; and I read same things you did. Hopefully it gets better. Hate to see how bad all gas one is ha ha.
Right? Base model has wireless Apple CarPlay but not this one? And I can't understand the omission of adaptive cruise control. But that's on me for not paying attention. And the gas mileage ... I can only hope it gets better. My next video will be much more positive though ...
I hate adaptive cruise control. In my opinion it leaves way too much space in front and when people merge in front of you it makes you slow down some etc. Nothing major, but I hate it.
Once in a while that would really annoy me but if I was just settled in for the cruise and my speed changed by a few miles an hour I just didn't worry about it.
You can get what's called the dongle which will turn your Android auto into wireless it plugs into the USB port very small...... Love the car but when you put it in reverse it makes a wicked humming noise they say it's normal????
The rattle is not fixed. My dealership believes that it's the high-pressure fuel pump. There is one on order for me and when it gets here they will replace it. We will see if that fixes the problem. I will document whatever happens on this channel.

Leave your temperature control on and change the radio volume on
the steering wheel

Mine doesn’t rattle and has adaptive cruise. SX Prestige HEV. Gas mileage is improving as breaks in but still not 38

Nice! 36 MPG isn't bad but getting the actual rating of 38 would be nice.
Why would you really use the volume dial when you adjust the volume on the steering?
Well, maybe I wouldn't, but I might want to adjust the temperature!!!

I do like my EX hybrid, AWD, but the wireless phone charge is crap. It charged 1% while I drove for 15-20 minutes😂. No rattle though.

@j.r.576 I get that. Those are annoying with that technology for sure.
@@myboringchannel it doesn't help that I'm generally an agressive driver and impatient lol.

Why dont you checkout features befor you choose model ,apart from your rattle ,you do m9an alot
Yes, that was my mistake and I have admitted such in several of my videos.
Is the rattle fixed

Does it have Android Auto?
I'm thinking of switching from my Rav, and my main concern is reliability. What was your reason(s) for the switch? @myboringchannel
Thanks!
My RAV4 made a funny sound. But then my Sportage was also making a funny sound. So now I have a Mazda CX-5.
Plug the phone in its nothard
Thank you so much for the great suggestion.
2024 rear seat floor mat too big.
Dude put your feet away, also you vid kept buffering
Maybe you should get a faster Internet connection
Why didn't you take the car back? 🤔...a rattling car, really?
I did
