- After experiencing a blizzard in Niigata, we reviewed our snow gear and went out to play in the snow, fully prepared.
We enjoyed a delicious meal in the car with winter vegetables unique to a snow country, and enjoyed playing in the snow in a deep snow forest.
Then, we tried skiing, which we had longed to do!
It was supposed to be a fun ski ride on the lift, but...

We are a family of three: husband (Shin), wife (Ayako), and daughter (Yuri), both around 40 years old and our only daughter.
We bought the campervan of our dreams, the Corde Leaves, so that our daughter could have a variety of experiences!
We will enjoy our hobby of outdoor activities, such as camping, staying in the car, mountain climbing, and fishing, while traveling all over Japan.

Excellent job on preparing for driving in the snow or staying overnight in it. All very good things to consider.
My ski level is flat on my back, I fall really well. My daughter a few years ago was skiing with my wife and as I watched from inside the lodge, she was going downhill backwards yelling at her mom to keep up. This year we are leaving in a few days for Poland for a skiing event. Potentially next year it may be hosted in Japan, not sure if in our part or in Hokkaido. Yuri really is the right age to learn how to ski, the beginners pizza wedge.

Its always good to see everyone especially Yuri in present day time! Ayako, please be more patient with your husband! He is such a kind man and you should treasure that trait. As far as you are concerned, every meal goes well "with Sake"!! Let your husband plan a meal and buy the stings and ingredients for once. Y'all just the cutest family ever. And enjoying life as much as you can - that's a lesson for everyone. Though Shin-Chan still needs to learn how to make/throw a snowball if he's going to survive in his new world. (And how to hold on tight to his beer)🤣 If you let carrots stay in the ground into the winter, the cold makes them very sweet. Too sweet for me, but only way kids will eat them. Maybe you can set up a carrot patch for next fall at your house and Yuri will sneak out and eat them like a rabbit!

長野なら 沢山スキー場もあり 沢山学べる教室があります。
初心者の方なら 以前長野旅で訪れていた 霧ヶ峰は ソリ遊びやスキー初心者にはおすすめですよ。
スキー場が なだらかなので初心者の方がボーゲンで降りて来れます。

自分の実家は昔、兼業農家でした
兼業農家の形態はその家庭で様々
実家は、田植えはやってもらい
稲刈りは自前で小規模な乾燥機も持ってました
稲刈り直後の米には水分が多く乾燥させないと食べれません
兼業農家を辞めて１枚の田んぼを畑にして
大根や人参など家庭菜園としました
ひと手間をやる事も多く
冬大根が実って直ぐ収穫ではなくて
別の田んぼに穴を掘り収穫した大根を越冬させます
冬場の野菜が甘いのは、野菜が寒さから身を守る為に糖分を作り出します
糖分が寒さから凍りにくいという研究機関の結果もでてます
大根、人参の川を剥いて捨てるかもしれませんが
実家では捨てずにとっておいて乾燥
できれば天日干しして
乾燥後はきんぴらなどにしてました
雪アイテムは、その都度
増えていくかと思います
タイヤチェーンやスタック板は
雪にハマっていなくても１度
使ってみることオススメします
買っただけで使い方が分からないと焦ってパニックになるのはマズイです
冬野菜の甘さには驚きでした😳✨
ユウリも気に入って食べてくれるので、見つけたら買っていこうと思います🥰
冬装備は使えないと意味ないですもんね！
