This is awesome, thank you for the overview. Would it be possible to have a quick overview of using additive & subtractive processes together? My machine supports both (I have a small spindle on a tool changer), though I guess for those moving the part between machines it would also be useful to cover using multiple setups.
Thank you for asking, great question. this is the App you can use to do that: apps.autodesk.com/FUSION/en/Detail/Index?id=7510560621924796173&appLang=en&os=Win64 if you want to learn how to do that we made a video some time ago to cover this topic. 2:17 Why fusion, would you move these settings from the ribbon, to a place I’d least expect to find them? I spent several months looking for these after they were moved 🙄
Both have pros and cons. Being able to select specific surfaces for supports directly on the model is extremely useful. OTOH Cura's tree supports are very nice for avoiding the part. Sometimes I just model the supports myself which is the ultimate way of controlling support geometry. Looks like in fusion I could easily select a specific profile to be used by these support components.
Yea... As much as I love you CAD / CAM offering, for the time being I'm really going to have to give this one a hard pass for FDM. Hardly a competition for a Slicer in terms of granularity like PrusaSlicer and especially SuperSlicer I've come accustomed to 🤔

Nice! How about the machine setting, start and end code? How to set it up?

@@sualpozel1 I will have a look, thank you.

I use Ultimaker Cura .. The support structure design is much stronger than Fusion ..
I beg to differ. Fusion is by far much better.

@@GrossGeneralization the infinite ways to set support in fusion is simply beyond cura. Cura is a very simple tool.
Does it support Zortrax zcode?
One of these days I'll try slicing directly in fusion...
Any plans to slice for SLA printers?
Hi James, yes this is now possible with the March release. You print directly to 2 or 3 SLA machines. More machines will be added in the future
@@tomstock4884 nice, I haven't gotten a workflow down for my photon; I'll have to check it out.
How can I create custom build platform models, such as one from the video?
1.75 mm pla filament isn't on that menu for me I can't find it anywhere
Why petg filament isn't showing up in the library?
Hi there, it is not supported yet, but it will be soon
@@tomstock4884 thank you!
@@kavorka8855 Hi there, PETG is now supported :)

I agree, it's terribly complicated
Surely you must know that audio and proper mic placement is as essential as the visuals in 2022
Why would you even bother? Cura is miles ahead. You don't need F360 to do everything. Stick to your wheel house as it were.
