Hi Aslan... They are multi-effects from different generations. The Gt-1 is excellent but it doesn't have IRs like the MG300 or MG30. The presence of IRs is extremely important for those who use their equipments directly on the PA system in live shows, as they make the sounds more realistic. The only GT's that have IRs are the GT1000 and GT1000core.
Thanks bro! Both are great. But the MG30/MG300 has impulse response just like the Gt1000 and Gt1000core. The IRs make this generation's multi-effects sound realistics than the old multi-effects. It's an extremely important component for anyone who uses multi-effects directly to the PA system in live shows or recordings directly on the computer.
@@DirectRecordingGuitar Yeah, I’ve been experimenting with my pedals and the plexi-Marshall plug-in on my UA arrow. I live in an apartment in Hollywood, so I can’t crank my amp up. It’s all headphones, and I do get a feeling of being in a room with the amp cabinet IR. I’m still learning about this stuff. I was an amp-distortion guy … maybe a chorus or screamer, but really plug & play. When I came here to record, my manager took me to guitar-center and I rebuilt a home-studio from scratch. Things have changed so much since my 4-track days, and continue to change all of the time. I wouldn’t have dreamed of just plugging a guitar into a computer for decent tone as little as a decade-ago. Solid-state Amps are even decent these days. It’s a great-time to play guitar. I’m jealous of beginners. The stuff I learned on in the 80’s was just awful. 😂

So I left the real amps bit by bit in the corner. And today with the IRs I don't have any guitar amp anymore haha. The multi-effects that I use the most at the moment in all my works is Nux Mg30. Hi Matthew! The only thing you should be aware of is that some presets are made to be used with stratocaster guitars with single pickups like Funk Groove tone, SRV, John Mayer, Gilmour. Other presets are made for guitars with humbuckers like this Steve Vai tone, Slash, Petrucci and others. And always leave the "Studio Direct" output active in the multi-effects settings.. MG300 + M Audio MTrack Duo here: ua-cam.com/video/1SCxMyUZzUk/v-deo.html / Edit: On the headphones you hear the mult-effects sound in stereo. So when using an interface, it needs to be a two channel interface like this M Audio. Making this type of connection I made using a Y cable on the MG300 (see the diagram I left in the video). Also, it is necessary to select a stereo track in the DAW to record both channels at the same time. If you record using the Mg300 itself as a USB audio interface, selecting a stereo track, you will have the sound recorded in stereo so you can hear it through your headphones.

Fala Maxwell! Cara, eu não sei te responder. Só sei dizer que eu usei a MG300 de Jan a Julho de 2021 intensamente em estúdio e coloquei muitos IRs. Muitos mesmo! Ela praticamente se tornou meu IR loader oficial haha até quando eu estava usando outras pedaleiras como a Gt100 ua-cam.com/video/ODqRvVLz90s/v-deo.html . E todas as vezes que eu vinha no pc buscar um patch e reinstalar na Mg300 pra usar em uma determinada música o IR que eu tinha usado na época já aparecia junto no patch. :) Quer dizer que ele já tava na pedaleira né? kk Eu nunca fui atrás de saber a fundo sobre isso por causa de tempo mesmo... tudo muito corrido aqui pra manter ativos os trabalhos do estúdio, o canal e a vida pessoal com a família. :) Amanhã vou plugar pelo Quicktone e tentar saber isso. Ainda visito aqui pra basear meus presets. Eu usava zoom G3Xn, agora to com uma Hotone Mp100. Sempre com excelentes timbres.
