superb video I want to try my drone out here. What drone do you use, very steady! I am currently doing my private pilot licence and overfly this regularly, I am ex RAF and we used to fly in here a lot. They should NOT HAVE DESTROYED THE BASE IMHO just chucked out the nukes and gave it back to the RAF or for civilian flying. Its WAAAAAY OTT and criminal breaking up a perfect runway which saved many lives due to it being the longest in Europe! Thanks for sharing
They've just released a short film about the making of Star Wars there Linda, it's quite interesting to see it all. Watch out for the aerial drone shots, they've used my footage in the film (with permission). ua-cam.com/video/6aOUTYkJ16Q/v-deo.html
+Eric Taviner the common is all open and you can walk around the fences to the missile bunkers but they are not publicly accessible, unless you can hop two fairly high fences with too smaller holes to get a foot hold in!
You could make a movie out of went on there , big part of my life spent there when in the RAF Regiment, no mention of the mutiny by 51 Sqn RAF Regiment in 84, when gunners were just being exploited as cheap labour , living in just as bad conditions as the peace women were. While civvy coppers were creaming it with extra money in allowances and shorter working hours, the place was really shit and the Americans , were wankers with there Alamo attitude. Where they said they were the bastions of last defence. To be honest we spent more time stopping the Americans from shooting the peace woman because there was a shot too kill inside the GLMC area and if you were in there the rules went out the window. I am sorry you are so full of shit it hurts I was an American stationed there from 84 to 87 the MOD police were some Great guys and Yes the GAMA had a no lone zone ruling what the Hell do You expect?there were NUKES in there not to mention the many Blowjobs the RAF squaddies got through the fenceline....

FYI, the Runway was dug up and the concrete used as hardcore for the Newbury bypass. I worked at the business park in the 90s when this was happening.
I love that concept . One piece of controversial tarmac to another.
class video! well done
Excellent!
Love the music nice one 😊😊😊
It’s amazing how quick Mod sites become derelict.

They should restore it to its former glory in my opinion.
