Astro was the reason I got back into kpop since I watched To Be Continued (albeit a few years late). After watching I wondered if they were a real group and low and behold I found Astro and from there I fell into the kpop rabbit hole lol.
Imo, astro is so different and refreshing. When they make a comeback, it's like taking a break from those common hard core songs bgs make. I've been an aroha since baby era and I don't regret stanning them. Also they are very funny too.

I LOVED that drop shot with moonbin and transition to the group set. I think Knock is their BEST comeback to date in terms of getting public attention. They still have their fresh unique sound since debut and that's probably what set them apart for me and made me decide to stan them. Please do a listening party for the whole album! I can't wait for you to listen to We Still and When You Call My Name.

Tbh when I heard the beginning of the song, I thought it was good, but it was a bit too soft for my taste, but as soon as the chorus came in I was sold, the chorus is what makes this song as killer as it is. The verses being softer make sense to contrast a bit with the heavier choruses
Astro is that one group that I started to listen to before I knew anything about them and I couldn't read any korean at the time, so I didn't know the names of their songs they had out then, and when I found out more about them later, I just fell in love with them even more! The way you described them is really spot on! They're masculine but are at the same time not afraid of showing feminity and androgenity in their music and mvs.
I've only discovered Astro after the KDrama Rookie Historian. Cha Eun Woo has such a beautiful, smooth speaking voice, even though I don't speak or understand Korean, his tone was just so sweet on the ears. I was wondering if he was musical, and that's how I've found out about Astro. I know they have a strong fan basis, I still feel they are underrated. Their music somehow reminds me of the 90's... - to me if BTS was like BSB (because of the hype) Astro would be alike to Westlife in a sense I can't quite describe. I really am cheering for these boys, they have so much talent and dedication. Loving their vibe and humble sincerity.
