I have short hair, just a tad bit longer than yours, brushing my shoulders, and I always thought "SHORT HAIR IS BORING, you can't do any braids!" But your channel taught me how to do a dutch braid. Your channel taught me how to do a double dutch braid. You channel made people compliment the designs. I have REALLY wavy hair. Like the hair is so wavy, that's it's kinda poofy. AND I HAVE A LOT OF HAIR. But, I was surprised I could make braids, by myself, without begging my mom for help. That really surprised me. Tomorrow, I'm going out with 2 of my friends, and our mothers (girls day, every saturday) and we're going to a buffet. They always compliment my hair, and even one girl who can't speak English (she's French/Mali and me and my mom are teaching her how to speak English, AND SHE'S DOING GREAT BTW) always trys to say that she LOVES my braids and she loves my hair. I would love to acheive a braid for tomorrow, and, I hope it will go great! I don't use any hair straighteners or curlers, I love using my natural wavy hair. And I can't say how much I LOVE how you don't make every hairstyle with a straightener, because if you did, I'd be dead by now. I love how you kind of separate the straightener/non-straightener. That really helps! I personally love the braids you have here! I've tried your hairstyles and I love them! I, personally for an 11 year old, feel that my hair looks more good than it should XD. I found your channel a week ago and because of you, I have an appointment tomorrow to chop off all my hair (and donate). My hair has been long for about 10 years and I never thought I would have the courage to cut it short because I do a lot of braiding and updos with my long hair, but lately I have been feeling uninspired and frustrated. The rope twist has been a life saver! I have a lot of medical problems and it has become very difficult to wash my hair. So when it would get all greasy, I never had a good way to style it...until now! My pain has been really bad lately so I can't even think of washing my hair and its been about a week since I last did it, and yet I still get compliments on my hair! People can't tell I haven't washed my hair. I also love the braid that is similar to a french braid but you only add hair to the front piece. I've only done it once but I've gotten compliments on it. Thank you so much for these videos! There are a lot of "short hair tutorial" videos out there but I've never found any I loved until I started watching your videos

Seriously love your videos. you definitely have more hair than i do especially around the hair line. other than fluffing out the braids, adding dry shampoo or texturizing spray/powder. do you have any other advice on how to make your braids look thicker? i'm not a fan of extensions. i don't know if i just don't know how or if i just don't have enough hair to cover up the clips.
Pulling them apart - I don't have that thick of hair on my roots on top of my head, so I always make sure to apply some dry texturizing spray and then pull apart to create more fullness to the braids. That's what works for me.
Wow! I was a little unsure of the last hair do, but when you put that little decorative piece in, I was sold. Gorgeous! Great video once again. I think I’m going to try the rope braid for my hair. I’ve never really mastered the French braid. 😊
