【Japanese Experience】Kyoto Toko-in Temple [Hydrangea Wind Chime Festival]

Toko-in Temple is a Koyasan Shingon Buddhist temple with a history of over 1300 years. In June, you can enjoy around 2,500 hydrangea plants along the temple approach, making it a power spot where you can be soothed by flowers and wind chimes. During this period, the "Hydrangea Wind Chime Festival" is held, where you can listen to the sounds of over 1,000 wind chimes and enjoy the sight of approximately 2,500 hydrangea plants. You can also experience wind chime painting and mini sutra copying (both with fees). The Hydrangea Wind Chime Festival runs from June 1st to June 30th. From July 13th to September 1st, the "Wind Chime and Pinwheel Festival" is held, and special limited-edition goshuin (temple stamps) featuring wind chimes and pinwheels are available. You can experience the beautiful scenery of the wind chimes in 180° 3D VR.
